    8 player setups

    Can anyone suggest some good 8 player setups using more or less the mafia roles on the mod (or the roles on narrator if you know them)? I'm having some friends over, and playing Town Random x6 and Mafia Random x2 doesn't seem like it'll net some good balanced games.

    I don't have cit vests built easily in, but Darkness's worked out great! Wish I would have seen Elixir's post earlier, would have tried out some of his.

    Nice, good to know! With an 8 player game, there's a bit of FM bias here -- i.e. the setups we've all proposed tend to be Citizen heavy, because a Town full of TPRs would be way too easy. The other main variants would be add an NK or Cult, as Elixir did in some of his setups. You could also replace the Sheriff with a Vigilante or Jailor if you want a 100% WIFOM type game instead of a "follow the cop" type style. Given there's only one Investigative anyway, players are going to have to scumhunt with their instincts vs. depend on night leads.

    i forgot about this thread and my friend came across it and we ended up using darknessB's setup. i've gotta add these setups to the narrator. heh

    Damn this is old.

    Cultist should definitely have 1 night between recruits with a serial killer in the game.
    I'd probably say doctor->cultist rather than WD because if they get the WD its probably over.
    doctor prevents conversion. +/- feedback. probably leaning more towards gets feedback
    Serial killer probably should be immune to conversion
    No one immune to detection
