    Witch Clarifications

The witch is a confusing role, here I will post my ideas of what would happen. Please clarify.

    The wiki states:

A Witch can not prevent non-targeted actions such as using bullet-proof vests or igniting gasoline (Survivor, Citizen, Arsonist)

Even though Vigilantes themselves cannot willingly kill on Night-1, Witches can still force them to kill other players

The Witch can not force roles that are immune at night (such as Godfather or Serial Killer) to commit suicide.

    So I would assume that:
    1) A witch can make players self target.
2)A witch cannot prevent players from targeting themselves, e.g. vests, igniting gasoline. Instead will make them target themselves if they haven't and also visit the player even though their role can't
    3) Can force roles to do unnatural things such as make a vigilante kill on night 1
    4) Invulnerability of a role does not change (cannot commit suicide if healed, invulnerability, ext... unless ignores invulnerability)

Does a target player still do their action if they die that night? Or does the order of events still stay the same?

Here is my list of role specific assumptions:

Bodyguard: Witch can use bodyguard to protect someone. If the person is attacked the bodyguard dies. This can be used to kill to birds with one stone. Or to protect the witch.

Coroner: Forces the Coroner to investigate a role, providing no information to the witch, but instead to the Coroner (this should be fixed and the information should be exposed to the witch, both of the controlled players events should be revealed to the witch, or at least implemented as an option)

Detective: Forces the Detective to investigate a role, providing no information to the witch, but instead to the Detective (this should be fixed and the information should be exposed to the witch, both of the controlled players events should be revealed to the witch, or at least implemented as an option)

Doctor: Heals targeted player by witch.

Escort: Blocks targeted player by witch.

Investigator: Forces the Investigator to investigate a role, providing no information to the witch, but instead to the Investigator (this should be fixed and the information should be exposed to the witch, both of the controlled players events should be revealed to the witch, or at least implemented as an option)

Lookout: Forces the Lookout to investigate a role, providing no information to the witch, but instead to the Lookout (this should be fixed and the information should be exposed to the witch, both of the controlled players events should be revealed to the witch, or at least implemented as an option)

Mayor: Forces mayor to visit target player. (Unnaturally)

Sheriff: Forces the Sheriff to investigate a role, providing no information to the witch, but instead to the Sheriff (this should be fixed and the information should be exposed to the witch, both of the controlled players events should be revealed to the witch, or at least implemented as an option)

Vigilante: Kills target player unless dies that same night, or target is healed, defended, immune.

Blackmailer: Blackmails target player unless dies that same night.

Consigliere: Forces the Consigliere to investigate a role, providing no information to the witch, but instead to the Consigliere (this should be fixed and the information should be exposed to the witch, both of the controlled players events should be revealed to the witch, or at least implemented as an option)

Consort: Role-blocks target player unless dies that same night.

Disguiser: Disguises as target player unless dies that same night.

Framer: Frames target player unless dies that same night.

Janitor: Sanitizes target player unless dies that same night.

Mafioso: Kills target player unless the player is healed.

Executioner: Visits the target player. (Unnaturally)

Jester: Forces Jester to annoy targeted player.

Serial Killer: Kills player targeted by witch, if targets self, does not die (if invulnerability on), if target is healed/protected, then attack fails. If Bodyguard defends target, or if SK targets Veteran, then SK dies.

    My list of confusions:

Bus Driver: WTF HAPPENS HERE?!?! Who does the bus driver swap? If she targets the bus driver and a target does the bus driver swap themself and that target? Or do they swap randomly either their first choice or second choice with the witches choice?

Citizen: Uses vest and visits target player? Both? One of them?

Survivor: Uses vest and visits target player? Both? One of them?

Cultist: Visits target player. Converts them? Both?

Arsonist: Douses target, Witch cannot prevent ignition or cause ignition. So the arsonist can douse and ignite in the same night. Will the doused victim on the night of the ignition die as well or be postponed until next ignition?

Amnesiac: Forces them to visit the player. (Unnaturally) Becomes the target if the target dies that night? Commits suicide?

Godfather: Kills player if kill without mafioso is enabled. If mafioso exists, mafia makes two kills? Cancels mafioso kill? Cancels GF kill? Just visits?

Veteran: Visits target player unnaturally? Kills target player? Forces target player to visit veteran? Does this nullify the veterans alert? Or does it kill the witch?

Spy: Forces spy to visit target player. Nullifies spy abilities?

Jailor: Jails target player? Prevents jail? If target player matches witches target player kills that player? If witch targets Jailor and any target including themselves executes jailed player?

Mason: Forces Mason to visit target player. Nullifies Mason abilities?

Mason Leader: Forces Mason Leader to visit the target? Attempt recruit?

Witch: Forces the witch to... *twoWORDS commits suicide* Ugh visit? Target one of the Witches targets and one of the Witches who Witched the Witch targets? What if witch remains inactive?

What if any of these roles remains inactive? Please provide an alternative.

But seriously, help me out here. And sticky if this hasn't been answered.

She cannot make a Jailor kill someone else, only the person he has JAILED that current night.
Confirms some of the statements above. ^

Not sure on this one, I think it may force the bus driver to swap themselves with the target, but again not sure

Citizen: Uses vest and visits target player? Both? One of them?

I believe it just visits the player

Survivor: Uses vest and visits target player? Both? One of them?

    Ditto

Cultist: Visits target player. Converts them? Both?

Both, but simply converts if its available I believe

Arsonist: Douses target, Witch cannot prevent ignition or cause ignition. So the arsonist can douse and ignite in the same night. Will the doused victim on the night of the ignition die as well or be postponed until next ignition?

    Doused victim will die afaik

Amnesiac: Forces them to visit the player. (Unnaturally) Becomes the target if the target dies that night? Commits suicide?

I think the former explanation is true, but again not sure since I never see amnesiacs for some reason

Godfather: Kills player if kill without mafioso is enabled. If mafioso exists, mafia makes two kills? Cancels mafioso kill? Cancels GF kill? Just visits?

I believe it forces the Godfather to go in the Mafioso's place to kill your target

Veteran: Visits target player unnaturally? Kills target player? Forces target player to visit veteran? Does this nullify the veterans alert? Or does it kill the witch?

Visits target player unnaturally and kills you if on alert

Spy: Forces spy to visit target player. Nullifies spy abilities?

    No, just unnaturally visits

Jailor: Jails target player? Prevents jail? If target player matches witches target player kills that player? If witch targets Jailor and any target including themselves executes jailed player?

I think if you cause a jailor to target someone it just forces him to execute whoever he is jailing

Mason: Forces Mason to visit target player. Nullifies Mason abilities?

    Unnatural visit only

Mason Leader: Forces Mason Leader to visit the target? Attempt recruit?

    Yes

Witch: Forces the witch to... *twoWORDS commits suicide* Ugh visit? Target one of the Witches targets and one of the Witches who Witched the Witch targets? What if witch remains inactive?

Dunno, but there's a FAQ sticky with 50000 witch questions probably addressing this shit
    tooshort

It would be interesting for witch to see investigative roles' results as an option

There are some witch questions answered here including a full algorithm of how the witch action works. A lot of your confusions I know the answer to.

In general terms a role that does not target a living player with it's action (citizen, veteran, spy, amnesiac, mason, non-recruiting cult member, non attacking mafioso / godfather, non jailing jailor) will move to the witch's target but will not use an ability. This movement can be seen by detectives, lookouts and be used to kill people by forcing them to move to veterans. If a jailor with a captive is witched to any target he will execute his captive if he has an execution left.

I might be wrong but that's how I understood it. The details rarely matter that much anyway.
