Let's keep this thread going, however. I'm a blood donor (every 2 months I go), and sometimes I think my blood is going to sustain a total and complete fucking asshole. I'm also a registered organ donor, but that's because I think perfectly good organs shouldn't go to waste.

Well it is blasphemous in some religions to do this, but I am inclined to agree with you.

Anyway, there should be a tax break or complimentary life insurance benefit for becoming an organ donor. It'll make more people donate.

I'd gladly donate my blood and basically any of my organs if I was in a fatal accident. Unfortunately there's a federal ban preventing me from donating :/ not that I haven't in the past.

The problem is that some peoples organs are no good. How do you even know that someones organs are going to be good5, 10, 20... 30 years later? I don't plan on dying for another 50 to 60 years. Are you going to make mandatory screenings every so often? What happens in the event that the organs I've been collecting for years and years on fail? How are you going to pay for this program? If the health/life insurance company is getting less from you, they're going to want the government to foot the bill for the difference.

Admiral, you have summarized the problem with the United States and Canada. Their motto is now "Who will pay for it?" They were unable to fix the budget crisis/recession because of that question. The answer is: nobody wants to pay for it. The future will end up like that novel "Jennifer Government", where there are no taxes, but you have to pay police to actually investigate a crime.

What the U.S government needs to do is hire those pro Chinese hackers to siphon money from the accounts of the 1%. Then we need to lower the minimum age of the president to 25. I'm afraid age seems to be corrupting those in power.

On the plus side, every single blood donation is separated into various components so that you help multiple patients. Chances are at least one of them probably isn't an asshole
