What kind of Art are you into an why?

I guess I feel that video games in general are art but in the more literal sense what do you love to look at and why?

My latest obsession is David Pino who used mathematical algorithms to create art while even offering to allow others to manipulate the algorithms to create their own material. Something about his work has me staring at it over and over while thinking about the silly bullshit that goes through my head like 'is there some connection between intelligence and the way trees grow.'

    What are you guys into?
Intellectual growth comes from discussions, not arguments. If you are unwilling to change your position and hear the other persons side you are closed minded and wasting your time.
If you can not clearly explain what the other sides reasoning is you can not disagree with their position because you do not understand it.

I love Rembrandt's paintings. I was lucky enough to see Belshazzar's feast in the flesh a year or two ago at the National Gallery. Believe me when I say it's totally different from looking at it on google images. You can only appreciate the level of detailed texture and "3-dimensional-ness" of it in person. If you ever get an opportunity to see some of his stuff in the flesh, I 100% recommend you snag it even if it's only one of his self portraits.

I love the National Gallery. I don't know why anyone would choose to come to this miserable rainy island we call the UK of their own free will, but if some kidnapper drags you here or something the ONLY thing worth seeing is the National Gallery. And all the fucking tourists end up going to see the QUEEN instead. She's literally a rich old woman in cosplay, you fucking imbeciles. Go to the National Gallery instead. You can spend hours in a single room staring at the paintings and just getting teleported man. Or I dunno, just get bored af after 5 mins like your uncultured good-for-nothing shits you call friends inevitably will.

I've seen The Night Watch in person, it was a great painting. It's absolutely colossal in person too.

Bit cliched but I like psychedelic art, especially things like mandalas and the type. Recently I'm also enjoying street art.

Hmmmm. I'm not often into visual art a whole lot. However, I will say a lot of my PC desktop backgrounds (like 85% of it) either contain fantasy or sci-fi imagery depicted in any format because I think they look cool. I'm not really into individual artists, though, I just pick and choose.

    Here are some examples:

Although I just realized, all 3 of the examples here have some sort of dragon-like creature or being in it

Music. The part of music I actually consider as art is stuff like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwAooQkK1ng
Old, meaningful music, with coherent and beautiful lyrics. And this guy is Belgian singing in French, but you should get the point lol. There's probably a translation somewhere.

I am more into digital art, as well as graffiti art, but nevertheless I enjoy modern paintings as well. Lately, I have read a lot of information about painting techniques, great artists and their background history. It’s really interesting for me to understand how an artist thinks and what are his aspirations. I set a goal for myself to buy more art pieces for my collection. So, I started looking for personalized canvas prints online and pretty fast I found this online platform that’s sells great pieces. I bought three artworks and I am really happy overall with the quality, as well as the price point which was very affordable.

When WC3 came out, I thought the RoC Campaign was art - just so so beautiful. (Not so much anymore though)

These days, the only things I find so beautiful as to call them art are well constructed sentences that convey an idea, and the thoughts processes behind it, well. Go figure. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes, the WC3 campaign absolutely was art. The Silvermoon missions were just great. It's sad High Elves never were playable .

They were though. They were the same Blood Elves we play in TFT.
After The Fall of Silvermoon, they were cut off from their source of magic to which they were addicted to. Now calling themselves Blood Elves due to their now corruption - they pledge themselves to follow Illidan who in turn promises them more magic than they can imagine, later in TFT campaign when they save him.

Nice. Well, I never got to play TFT because my key for it was broken... It's a good story though ^^

It's not WoW level at least, is it? The only good things in WoW are the graphics and the music. It truly is a beautiful game. The story and the gameplay, though...

I can't tell for sure tbh. I just know that I didn't enjoy the Campaign myself personally.

Have really never seen any famous art pieces in person, but two artists I definitely like are Gustave Doré and Zdzisław Beksiński. Gustave's work being symbolical and biblical. Zdislaw works were influenced by WW2 and German invasion.
