The traitors a mafia/triad role that does not have access to the night chat, and does not know the identity of the other mafiosi. It could be an interesting role to play.

Theres the thing that it could spawn from a standard random mafia slot and thus limit the mafia night chat to only two players. This might not be that bad of a thing - the Traitor has the advantage of not being directly affiliated with the Mafia - enabling them to go incognito without fear of discovery due to interaction with Mafia members.

Optionally, you could also add a setting that converts the Traitor to a default Mafioso if targeted with the factional nightkill.

You could also solve the issue of having a weaker mafia team by forcing this role to only spawn from neutral evil slots.
