Nope. Completely free. Donors on site get special powers in MC though, just like in Mafia.

You can make a Minecraft server fairly grief-free.

1) iConomy, Shop, HandTorch, LWC, BlocksOnGlass, Essentials. I'll be adding a few more perhaps.
2) We are considering it. At the moment, you need a forum account.

I think you need to add some sort of grief-protect.. unless you want griefing to be allowed, of course.

6) Correct. The server is a survival server, not free-build. However, you will be able to buy/sell iron, gold, and diamond from/to the server using the currency.
7) We have enough people testing.

Probably for the best, the less people know about what you are doing to prevent griefing, the harder it is to circumvent. Fair warning, I have no qualms about booby trapping my home, so people should probably keep out.
