Dear philie, I have to disagree with you on this. Race based politics is still PREVALENT to this day.
Hate the blacks. Hate the whites. Hate the immigrants. Hate this clan. Hate that tribe.
Morality-wise, we are still not much better than the people from the dark ages.

"Immoral animals" can still reproduce with alternative strategies - "rape" or get the females when the alpha male is not looking.

There is an interesting experiment in the forums. Make your conclusions from there. I'm fed up and don't want to get too closely involved. I hope you can see what you hope to see.

If you steal his wallet, then you will not hinder his rise to power, or change any of his actions. The only result will be that his evening will be ruined. You also have a minimal chance of being caught. Are you morally in the right to steal Hitler's wallet?
I'd steal his wallet, and then redistribute the contents all over his residence. Not immoral, but still ruining his evening

It is immoral to steal a person's wallet, doesn't matter if it's your dog, your cat, your grandfather, Obama, A hobo, an extraterrestrial, DR, Goonswarm, or my wallet!

Normally i would say its morally wrong to steal a wallet and would not do it, but considering its stealing from a bad person i would do it and not feel guilty about it.

Re: Suppose, for a moment, that...

Meh morality is subjective as we all know. You can't say stealing a wallet is 'morally wrong', all you can say is that it is 'morally wrong' for you.

Personally, I would feel very guilty about stealing Hitler's wallet, I couldn't do it. I wouldn't have any hesitation in killing him... after a trial where all the evidence was displayed and a neutral party could make a ruling. The trial doesn't make murder fine, but it does assuage my own conscience and morals. The first few years of his leadership weren't worth killing him over anyway, national socialism was just what that country needed. After all the problems with the Deustchmark, the class divide between the raging poverty and the rampant decadence inspired by America, well, Hitler did a lot of good for his country as well as a lot of bad.

Now if I'd seen a jewish internment camp first-hand I would probably feel morally in the right to kill him. Fortunately I'm too detached from the events to feel the kind of emotions necessary to overcome these moral boundaries, and for me morals are tied to emotions. As soon as you try to make morals about logic (well he *would* go on to gas millions of jews, so it's okay for me to do bad stuff to him I guess), all you're doing is trying to justify an act which you would do if you could anyway.
