I am still leaning towards Eggy being town and no illuminati (partially because after my reread I can't see anyone else as an illuminati partner). However this one post gives me pause since after Rintarou revealed about the "mafia kill redirection" Eggy instantly called Rintarou out for lying. An illuminati would know that Rintarou was lying. Another thing though, is that Cryptonic and Rintarou (mafia who would know that they are lying about the redirection) should have been able to spot Eggy's confidence in Rintarou being full of BS as an indication that he was illuminati. Then Rintarou unvotes and calls Eggy illuminati:

I think I made my case surprisingly crisp on this matter, Anaconda was the infiltrator that took Innocent Child as their assumed role to try to lead the town (But failed miserably under pressure... I think both players were just flustered with being something so different and had a hard time acting town despite taking a conformable role. If my Partner NC, which you *town read* so hard would even hammer them then I think you can damn well at LEAST Give thought about the fact of their existence.)

If Eggy is Illuminati and Rintarou felt like Eggy was acting weird about the fake kill redirection claim yesterday he should have instantly revealed it. He did no such thing.

I tried to keep an open mind and consider all possibilities, but I really feel that Cryptonic is the last scum here. Based on this, the consort blocks, and rereading the game thread searching for hints of illuminati, I have concluded that we are most likely in Setup A and that Cryptonic is the last scum.

Overall, I'm happy with how this game went. I was a bit surprised to see the Innocent Child lynched so easily, but I suppose that's the paranoia of having a possible Illuminati. Interestingly, the mafia were first to figure out this was setup A, but they were ultimately unsuccessful in their gambit to convince town of an Illuminati to win the game.

Okay well guys I had a great first game thank you all ahaha. This was my first ever forum game by the way. Mesk told me about it so I thought id try it out. Anyway I honnestly think I should get the mvp because I really pulled through the end of the game and saw the scum for exactly what they were. I also called out crypt on day 2 for being lying about his roleblock claim and being the consort which no one seemed to even suspect. All in all I think my pressuring and hard logic in the last two days were what won us the game I was the only town member to see the setup for exactly what it was and identified the two mafia members with 100% accuracy from the I beleive it was day 3. Keeping in mind that this was my first ever forum game I would say that if anyone deserves the MVP its myself Im honnestly impressed with crypt final day of play even though he knew I saw him for what he was he still did a great job at building a case against me and putting the effort in to make it a very hard fight that I totally was not expecting. His scheme on the last game was very clever. Anyway thanks again everyone for an awesome first game.

Here you go (and yes, I forgot that the Consort turned into the Godfather and so sanitized me)

Last Will

So, I didn’t realize that only the Godfather sanitized the role and last will, so I originally wrote this last will with that in mind. Now knowing that this will be revealed to everyone, I’m written it a bit differently. As is my pattern for the past few days, I’m going to document my thought process, since scum knowing it shouldn’t make a difference in how the final day gets resolved (and it might help my town buddies).

As Day 3 began, seeing that I had been roleblocked from killing Rintarou, I put together a plan to end the game. That plan entails the following: To turn myself, a Vigilante, into a Sheriff.

It all depends on one exact thing: That I credibly convey my commitment to 100% shooting someone in the night. Unfortunately, Eggy’s hammer timing was inconvenient, as I was planning to hammer late and reiterate my intention to shoot Cryptonic and win the game. Hopefully, however, the other players had carefully read the thread and were convinced that I was going to shoot Cryptonic NO MATTER WHAT.

Why was this necessary, though? If you’re so sure it’s Cryptonic, Kovath, why not just shoot him anyway? If my Day 2 Last Will showed anything, it’s that I’m not that eager to gamble, and my play should confirm who the mafia is.

Let’s consider the two worlds (again, this all depends that other players BELIEVE that my night action is 100% going to be, -shoot Cryptonic):

Cryptonic is Consort: Though he might want to shoot someone, he knows that I am going to shoot him and he has no choice but to shoot me (vigi kill happens after mafia kill). Of course, the obvious choice for town tomorrow will be to lynch him. Game over.

Now this is where it gets interesting: Whad (or in some strange world, Eggy) is Consort: Whad knows that shooting me will create a 2v1 LyLo situation where there will be a lot of suspicion on Cryptonic. Yet, at the same time, Whad (hopefully) knows that I am shooting Cryptonic. What would he rather take, a 2v1 with a chance to lose or a 1v1 where mafia wins? The answer is simple. shoot Eggy, letting me shoot Cryptonic. EXCEPT I DON’T SHOOT. That’s the crux of it, because it enables me to confirm Cryptonic as town (and the, although admittedly extremely unlikely possibility, that NC was escort who roleblocked me) and then lynch Whad, as Whad is the only player with an incentive to make this play.

Basically: Cryptonic has a strong incentive to kill me. Whad / Eggy has a strong incentive to leave me alive.

Therefore, my mindgames should effectively confirm the remaining scum, ensuring an easy, lynch on LyLo. There are only two ways this play can fail:

1) Cryptonic is Consort and manages to successfully read that I was not intending to shoot at all, and he shoots Eggy; or, Whad does the same and shoots me. If so, bravo and well played.
2) People do not consider my commitment to shoot Cryptonic as credible, leading to #1.

Though there are some complications, hopefully my play should still go without a hitch.

Either way, GG. This was a great and fun game, whoever ends up winning. Good luck to my fellow townies.
