There is nothing to discuss. If you are within the top 35 players of who sign up, then you will be admitted. Being part of that group is determined by the quality of your posts in FM, and the amount of time and effort you put into previous games. As for your cheating incident, I cannot comment. I personally think you did cheat, but that you are a decent player and deserve a second chance.

I've been playing Mafia in SC for many months, it's the only part of SC2 that actually kept me playing for more than a week. I stick mostly to pub games, I'm only on the forums when I have a particular reason to be, and while I've been seeing forum mafia for months, I'm only just now deciding I would like to participate if I can.

I've got plenty of points in SC2, but I use both my PC and my laptop to play and just got this PC a few weeks ago, so my points are spread across 3 separate Dimwits. That's who I am.
