Amnesiac remembering dead unique role

Hi guys

On the Amnesiac wiki page, it says "Amnesiac cannot become any unique role."

When you go into unique roles, it says there can only be one of these at a time

So does that mean amnesiac can become a unique role when that role dies - satisfying the 1 at a time rule? or can amnesiac never ever remember himself as marshal/mayor/ML/GF/WD even after they die?

Also is crier unique or not, i.e. can you have 2 criers

No, it means that an Amnesiac can't become a role that is unique. This is because if there are 2 Amnesiacs, and both become a Mayor, that is OP. Likewise if they both become Godfathers. It's impossible for an Amnesiac to ever take these roles.

And no, Crier is not unique.

there can only be one Mayor or Marshall is a game.
there can only be one Godfather in a game (with the expiation of Consigliere replacing the Godfather apron his death).
there can only be one Mason Leader in a time (with the expiation of other Masons replacing him if the correct options are enabled).
there can only be one Witch Doctor in a game.

Amnesiac can not remember being someone that there can only be one of.

it also make sense that there can only be one Mayor... and if the Mayor is dead... how should you have been him? at least if you think of the Amnesiac as having always been he's target... he just didn't know it till he remember ^^

i think the Town has other things to worry about then the Mayors chair... like maybe the Mafia and other killers?

as Cryptonic nicely point out... unique roles are unique because of balance reasons

Basically... to become a unique role would be against Rev's coding of the game. It wouldn't ever happen or the game would be destroyed XD
