    The game of second chances

    Introduction
    This is a game of second chances.
    A very special mechanic has been introduced to allow a fresh new beginning to a limited, lucky few.

    The RP for this game will probably be limited, without theme, and be made up entirely off the spot if at all.

    Possible Evil Neutrals: Devourer, Serial Killer, Cultist, Joker

    Possible Benign Neutrals: Jester, Nurse, Executioner

    Special Mechanics
    There are 2 mechanics that may exist into this game.

    The first is the Spy.
    The way this will work is during the day, everyone will be allotted 1 message per day. They can send this message to any one person of their choosing.
    There will also be allowed 1 reply to a message. i.e. someone sends you a pm, you may reply and it will not count as your 1 message sent for the day. However, that person will not be able to reply to you.
    In order to send a message, simply PM me, the host, with a title stating Private Message or something to make your intentions clear and in the message state who you wish to send the message to and what the message will contain. I will forward that to the receiver and the Spy.

    The second mechanic is the Second Chance.
    When the game reaches less than 5-6 players remaining, 3 people will return into the game under anonymous accounts.
    They will maintain their original role.
    Only roles excluding from this are Jester and Executioner.

    Your role is Godfather!
    You control all of the mafia, and have ultimate decision in all mafia related actions.


    Spoiler : Mafioso :

    Your role is Mafioso!
    Coordinate actions with your fellow Mafia members to kill 1 person each night.


    Spoiler : Framer :

    Your role is Framer!
    Choose any one person and forge investigative results for any Investigators or Sheriffs that might investigate this person each night.


    Spoiler : Actress :

    Your role is Actress!
    Visit one person each night. If you die at night, your role will appear as the person whom you last visited before dying. Excludes death by lynch.


    Spoiler : Drug Dealer :

    Your role is Drug Dealer!
    You may administer drugs to one person per night. Your target will receive a fake feedback message of your choice.
    The following feedback messages are what you might choose from:
    Bus Driven
    Attacked and Healed
    Role-blocked
    Annoyed by Jester


    Spoiler : Consigliere :

    Your role is Consigliere!
    Choose one person to Investigate each night and discover their exact roles.


    Spoiler : Consort :

    Your role is Consort!
    Visit one person each night and prevent them from performing any actions that night.


    Spoiler : Interrogator :

    Your role is Interrogator!
    Each night, you can select 1 person to kidnap and have your own night chat with. Very similar to the effect of Jailor, in fact, as far as the victim is concerned; they are jailed. It will be to the exact feel of being jailed. You are allowed 1 execution. Once you execute, you cannot Interrogate anyone else.
    Victim must be submitted at least 1 hour before nightfall.
    Victims will be completely role-blocked on nights of interrogation.

    Spoiler : (Insane?) Sheriff :

    Your role is (Insane?)Sheriff!
    Investigate one person each night for suspicious activity.
    Does not detect neutrals.


    Spoiler : Crier :

    Your role is Crier!
    Each night, you can send a message to any number of people.


    Spoiler : Jailor :

    Your role is Jailor!
    Each night, select one person to lock-up in your jail cell. You share a night chat with this person, completely role-blocking this person. You are allowed 2 executions.


    Spoiler : Spy :

    Your role is Spy!
    You receive all pm's sent and are informed of all mafia targets for normal nightt action, not of the Mafia kill, however.
    You can break out of any form of jail 1 time. (Devourer, Interrogator, Jailor.)
    To break out of jail, PM the host and your execution will be prevented and the Jail chat will be closed.
    Does not see crier messages.


    Spoiler : Bodyguard :

    Your role is Bodyguard!
    Choose one person to visit each night. If this person is attacked, you will defend this person killing off the attacker and losing your life in the process.


    Spoiler : Bus Driver :

    Your role is Bus Driver!
    At night you may choose two targets. Your targets will be swapped, redirecting all actions on each target to the other.


    Spoiler : Lookout :

    Your role is Lookout!
    At night you may observe a player. You will receive a list of everyone who visited your target during the night.


    Spoiler : Doctor :

    Your role is Doctor!
    Choose one person to visit each night. If that person is attacked, you will heal the person from one attack.
    You cannot stop conversions from Cultist, but you are informed that your target was converted.


    Spoiler : Detective :

    Your role is Detective!
    Follow one person each night and see who they target.


    Spoiler : Escort :

    Your role is Escort!
    You may visit 1 person each night, effectively preventing them from performing any actions.


    Spoiler : Mason Leader :

    Your role is Mason Leader!
    You may visit 1 person each night.
    If that person is a Citizen, their role becomes Mason and are your subordinate. You share a night chat with them.
    If they are Cultist, you will bludgeon them.
    You have the ability to convert 2 times. If you bludgeon a Cultist, you lose all charges for conversion.


    Spoiler : Mason :

    You have become a Mason!
    You share a night chat with all other Masons and Mason Leaders present in the game.
    If a Cultist attempts to convert you, you are informed of who tried to convert you.


    Spoiler : Evil Neutrals :

    Spoiler : Devourer :

    Your role is Devourer!
    Capture 1 person each night. To the victim, it will appear they have been taken by a Jailor.
    You share a night chat with the person, effectively role-block the person, and you can choose to execute anyone you capture. (unlimited charges)
    You have a 1 charge cleaning, to any 1 person, you can clean them of their role and last will.
    You are invulnerable at night to standard attacks.


    Spoiler : Serial Killer :

    Your role is Serial Killer!
    Select 1 person each night to kill in cold blood.
    You are invulnerable at night.
    You kill any role-blockers.


    Spoiler : Joker :

    Your role is The Joker!
    Select 1 person. This person's name will be announced to the town, along with the following message:
    People of (town name). I demand that (name) be killed by the end of tomorrow's day or I will kill 2 people the following the night.
    You must decide, kill 1 in order to save 2, or protect each other in hopes to find a solution.
    Good Luck.
    Select a new target when either:
    1. The person previously selected is killed
    or
    2. the night following the death of 2 people of your choosing.


    Spoiler : Cultist :

    Your role is Cultist!
    Target one person every other night.
    You will convert any night vulnerable town roles you visit.
    The Cult can have up to 3 members and gain 1 additional member for ever 2 members that die.

    Your role is Jester!
    You are a crazed maniac who wishes simply to defile the town by causing a wasted lynch on yourself.
    Upon lynch, 2 random voters will be role-blocked for the night.
    This block is completely unpreventable and final.


    Spoiler : Nurse :

    Your role is Nurse!
    Visit a player each night and inject them with an adrenaline shot. Your target will then be able to use his/her night action on an additional person the following night.
    You have the ability to heal yourself from any and all attacks (Night Immunity).


    Spoiler : Executioner :

    Your role is Executioner!
    You will receive a name of one person.
    Your goal is to have that person lynched.
    You receive 1 auto-use vest.




    Win Conditions
    Town: See all those who oppose you killed.
    Mafia: See all those who oppose you killed.
    Evil Neutrals: See all those who appose you killed.
    Jester: Get lynched during the day.
    Executioner: See your target et lynched during the day.
    Nurse: Survive to the end. Wins with any factions.

    Order of Operations
    0. Student take on a master
    1. All Jailings occur. (Priority: Devourerer, Jailor, Interrogator)
    2. Bussing
    3. All Roleblocks + Injections
    4. Lookout/Detective set up survalience
    5. All heals/Vests on/Bodyguard protect (+1 life)
    6. Framer/Actress
    7. All Kills (starting with Mafia -> Neutrals -> Town) (-1 life)
    8. All Investigations
    9. Cultist Converts/Mason Leader Recruits (Priority: Mason Leader, Cultist)
    10. Janitor clean + Drugs
    11. Joker bounty posted

    Rules:
    You may not quote PMs from me
    You may not use out of game communication in game
    Ask questions in any color of your choosing that holds a good contrast to the background of this site.
    To cast a Lynch vote use this color
    You may not reveal Jailor night chats
    You must post at least twice every day or cast a vote.
    Absolutely no discussion of COM names in Night chats and regards to anonymous accounts.

    Notice:
    Days will last an estimated 24 hours
    Nights will last 24 hours.
    Game will start at Night 0 at which time no night actions can be made except by the student, The Joker, and the Nurse.
    All alignments will have access to night chats at this time.
    I will be hand picking all players and roles. Attempt to meta me, but I guarantee you will be wrong if you make assumptions.

    Yeah, sorry to say but the second chance mechanic would be impossible since no anon accounts, unless you just have the players return normally.

    Yeah this thing with the 3 accounts is ok, as it won't cause huge clutter.

    Needs a rule against revealing RP names.

    Needs win conditions (especially for neutrals)

    Requiring the jailor/interrogator/Devourer to submit their jail target an hour before nightfall isn't fair if you also allow day skipping, because then they won't know when the night is going to start.

    Does the sheriff detect benign/evil neutrals?

    Crier sends one and the same message to any number of people? Or can it be a different message to different people?

    Does the spy see all Crier messages?

    Can bodyguard be healed when defending?

    Do bodyguard/doctor stop cult conversion?


    Is the nurse permanently night immune or is that an ability they can use instead of adrenaline shot?

    If jailing roles jail each other, who gets priority? (might want to include this in OoO)

    Do lookout/detective see roleblockers, bussing and injection?


    What happens if a mason leader and cultist target the same person? (OoO)

    You need to have a rule that disallows mentioning or claiming RP names. Otherwise it's far too easy for the town to claim names day 1 and eliminate any double claims.
