I think you could consider your name and avatar while you look at bias against you. You have presented yourself in a pretty socially offensive way which probably means people will assume the worst in your posts and see you as a troll as opposed to a genuine member. That just draws from human nature.

But I think these words are waisted because I think your trolling with them and you know exactly what your doing.
Which begs the question- Am I censoring you by saying so because I dislike your justified beliefs, am I falling to the fallacy that comes with assumptions from people presenting themselves as a troll, or do I have some bias against you that justifies you presenting yourself as a victim?
...does that mean having a wolf avatar when playing FM is not optimal?!

    Sticky: ►►Re: FM Moderation Log◄◄

    Regarding @Light_Yagami

There have recently been issues with Light_Yagami posting racist and antisemitic content, notably in pregame chats. This kind of issue is not recent at all: he had already been warned several times, be it on the forums, the Discord, or the Skwirl server, and he was even fired from Arcade staff due to those issues. His behavior understandably turned some people away from the site. Given that it is clear he has had no intent to change his behavior and still does not have any, Light_Yagami is being permabanned from the site for consistently posting extreme bigoted content with no intent to stop, with a possibility to appeal after 6 months under the condition he consistently underwent significant change in a way that will allow him to be on the forums consistently without breaking the rules.

Evidence: We will refrain from posting the content (which is not public anymore) here due to its nature, but FM staff will be keeping the screenshots for reference if needed.

Spoiler : Reaction clearly showing he has no intent to stop :

    ►►Re: Purpose of neopronouns?◄◄

^ what Oops and Helz said. Really, this looks like a mini-community's concern, and I honestly doubt it will be generalized to society as a whole. If it helps some people feel better in "safe space" communities (online or in real life), then... good? The rest (such as asking everyone in all contexts to specify their pronouns) is just hypercorrection imo, and actually seems to be pretty rare - I've yet to encounter such a thing personally.

I may look like I'm being intentionally dense, but the question is still worth asking: why is progress that important, and this, at all costs? One could argue perfection is better than progress, and that extreme automation could be "perfection".

Lasts posts are off-topic and exactly the opposite of what I want to discuss - this is just a reflexion on sci-fi, not a political debate!

I have a hard time believing in the "everyone's having fun forever, nobody needs to work!" theory, simply because jobs would not ALL disappear at once. Leaders would likely be the last ones to disappear... or would simply never disappear. And if leaders don't need anyone they are ruling over, what prevents them from basically going fully abusive? That makes the idea much less attractive, doesn't it? :P

And yes, this game is not exactly indicative of anything related to setup balance: we literally played as if the game had been vanilla when it comes to actual use of mechanics.

Lol gg! I'm not even going to vote for an MVP here because many townies just stomped this game (a lot through towncore of Olag/Gikkle/Martinbomber/MM, but also others through just being towny enough to be out of the immediate PoE) and pretty much everyone played their cards well. Well done!

I'm curious to see what you guys think about the consequences of sci-fi extreme automation (i.e. robots replacing most jobs). Past simple unemployment issues, do you think there would be a deeper alteration? I came to the conclusion that it would, but I'd like to see your thoughts first.

This has been a relatively low activity game, why didn't he just read EoD if he wanted to know? Well, because he didn't just want to know, he wanted to start a conversation about it.

Discredit players making scum reads on the basis that they are low activity slots. Exactly what a wolf needs to do when both of the remaining wolves are low activity slots.

The context of a wolf teammate sitting at two votes this reads very differently - attempting to cast suspicion elsewhere without committing to a vote. Could it be town that just has genuine doubts? Sure, but it's just >rand wolf play here.

More of the shade, needling oliver, trying to cast suspicion off of Ozy. It's especially a bad look because if SuperJack read end of day he should have been able to recognize the dynamics of the EoD play and how they benefitted town. His omission of this could be just an oblivious town. But again, it's >rand wolf, and there are a lot of such >rand wolf posts that are piling up here.

SuperJack's efforts basically died here as well, as Ozy sitting at 3 votes now with a near guarantee that my Oliver's vote was going to land on Ozy as well - he only had 3 more posts in the thread at all before EoD

And now his posts today are just about as low effort as they come, which is about what you'd expect from a wolf in this position.

    This slot's a wolf
I tend to see all of this as misguided townie actions. Like, saying he truly believed he could get Oliver lynched or even that he could hope to deflect votes from Ozy onto Oliver is quite frankly ridiculous: your slot was obviously universally townread. Had he wanted to deflect onto someone, he should either have picked Martinbomber, who had been suspected on D1, or Wrath for his really low effort posting. Instead of doing that, he didn't really address Martin and STRONGLY TOWNREAD Wrath for a reason that isn't too strong, but that also isn't insane.

You may well laugh post-game if SJ ends up really being scum, but I'm going to stick to my relative townread on him unless he's next in the PoE, which he currently isn't.

By giving a singular token to someone you put them into the pool of people that could have potentially glued someone to stop an ascension attempt.
+1. There is no reason to give tokens to anyone but your top town read, actually, unless there's some kind of plan I didn't think of (and spreading tokens certainly isn't one).

Marked as Abandoned. If you find a way to address Lag's concerns, feel free to bump the setup, but as it is right now, I think the enjoyability factor is pretty low due to what Lag said (it's also why Jesters are generally bad, especially when they are part of the main scum faction), and I don't see how to change that without completely changing the setup's spirit .

    Lag/Oli

I think this slot is particularly clear because of not only EoD1 (poking me to tie wagons with Varcron/Ozy and Mizery being woofs), but also their handling of me in D1 seemed to be largely good. Not impossible to replicate, but to replicate it would need a decently high skill level imo. At first on D2 I was a bit suspicious of how Oli interacted with SJ (namely the outburst) but after discussing it with SB16 we came to the conclusion that Oli's outburst was town-indicative rather than wolf-indicative.

    Gikkle

I think this slot is very likely clear. I don't really have a solid, high-confidence read on them outside of voting. However, I do believe their vote on Varcron at EoD was very unlikely to have been done by !wolf Gikkle or many other wolves for that matter. Additionally, I think #281 is a very good look now given the EoD1 wagons were w/w.

Nothing to say against the first two reads, I share the conclusions and the thought process makes sense.

    Loldebite

Posts are more or less okay, but given the relative towniness of other slots SB and I have them in PoE. I had to laugh at their "slight TR, seems to be actually trying" read of my slot. Seems like the sort of description I would not use if I were a wolf providing a read on a relatively high-posting player.

I don't really understand the "slight TR" read here. It's a very easy sentence to use as a justification as wolf. As for Loldebite's game in general, there's nothing going for him, no votes, no strong contribution... I can't say he never posted, but I also can't tell you a single thing he did, and that is not a good sign. Thoughts? I was thinking of lynching him today, actually.

    Marshmallow Marshall

Personally I read this slot as being preety good. Not clear, but close to it. SB might view them a bit less than I do, but I feel like they're overall good. Yesterday we got a heart attack wondering if #527 was borderline TMI'ing Ozy as town. However, I thought #307 was quite good because the last 2 lines were cheerful in a way that I think most wolves would have difficulty replicating on a day where one wolf is dead and the other they are currently voting to death. It's one thing to appear solving and secretly bussing a partner, its another to express cheerfulness during crisis management.

I LITERALLY CALLED HIM SCUM "MORE SUSPICIOUS THAN YOU" AAAAAAAAAAAAA!! I really don't understand that reasoning, although I guess it doesn't matter at all anymore since Ozy flipped lol (and that's partly due to me...)
Other than that, interesting reasoning that makes sense. I didn't even think of that reason to townread myself

    Light/PQR

This is probably the opposite in the sense that Stealth reads them higher than I do, though we both read Light/PQR as being some level of town. However, I can see and understand where Stealth is coming from on this matter so I trust the validity of his opinion on it. Paraphrasing his words, he viewed them as more or less as equally clear to Marshmallow Marshall. Not sure if Stealth would like me to share his thoughts, so I'm keeping quiet about it here.

I think Light is somewhat towny, but that's it. I would probably lynch them before SJ if it came to that, but I don't think it will.

    WrathCyber

Not much going for this guy. Also I misspelled his name.

    -vote WrathCyber

What strikes me most is that their very first post is about a 4 day weekend but they have so few posts and disappeared on the 2nd day phase.

Could make sense, although I'd rather hit on Loldebite. SJ's point about him forgetting people in his list, while not terribly strong, still is a minor point going for him... That being said, I definetly wouldn't oppose this lynch, even if Loldebite is a little worse to me.

    SuperJack

This slot has had good tone and decent play which evoked past experiences of !town SJ for me. However, there isn't much clearing about them when considering the wolf flips and additionally I haven't really played with !wolf them so its possible they could be fooling me. Which leaves them in the PoE, probably after loldebite and WrathCyber.
I really agree with what you are specifying here: he's technically part of the PoE because we can't rule him out, but his tone is really good. If he's scum, well, we can just refrain from giving him any tokens and he can't win lol.
My reads & comments on Martinbomber's reads are up there ^

I really like Martin's points, though. Point 2 is good, but point 3 is especially good because it's exactly how I feel about SJ, so I think there may be a mindmeld when it comes to our thought processes for reading SJ as town, which is a big town tell.

Ftr when I say effort I mean practically anything BUT voting or not voting; voting is different imo since you literally cannot win the game as town if you never vote (unless you get carried). I get sometimes individual players may not vote either due to IRL circumstances or low-investment, so I see Varcron not voting by itself as not being too suspicious. But the fact that Ozy, who shares the same slot, did not seem aware that their slot wasn't voting is suspect to me. Or they were aware, but did not care enough to get Varcron to vote. This effectively means two supposedly "town" players who elected to not vote D1. Ozy already made it evident that he was there for at least some parts of day 1 because Varcron specifically mentioned discussing with Ozy around mid-to-late D1.

I think Ozy's argument here takes full advantage of the following facts:

1)Mizery was an apathetic wolf (Almost any positioning could be taken with regards to an apathetic wolf)

2)The Varcron/Ozy wagon didn't appear until 1 hour was left in the day phase. It's not as if the all the wolves had time to adjust to this and so the belief that these wagonomics prove Ozy town is just flat-out flimsy at best imo because most players couldn't have done anything about it:

I count only Light, Lag, Myself, and Gikkle as being there since they made posts at that time. WrathCyber could potentially have as well, but he disappeared about 10 minutes before the first Varcron vote by Gikkle. That's only 4 or 5 slots in a 10 slot game for day 1. Or, if you're one of those players, only 3-4 players who are potential wolves who could have adjusted or reacted to the wagons.

    3) There was no chat available to wolves unless they had two souls in a single slot. They have night-only chats between slots.

It's for these reasons that I doubt that EoD1 proves Ozy to not be a wolf.

    Spoiler : martin thought 2 :

I suppose I agree with SJ's generalization on Wrath but I believe that reason is a bit weaker than he makes it to be because:

    1) This game seems to have relatively low investment aside from a few select players. Wrath seems relatively low investment. If it were a player with higher investment I would agree more as wolves in high-investment games have to meet higher expectations. This game? Not seemingly much in terms of expectations.

    2) There are players like me who regularly forget a player or two (or even hallucinate forgetting a player) when making my reads lists, regardless of alignment.

    Spoiler : martin thought 3 :

I've been overall feeling good vibes from SJ. I can't quite explain it, but I feel some level of similarity to how he has been in past town games. He generally has an unusual semblance around him but occasionally he can be incredibly sharp. It feels reminiscent of the few times in the past I played SC2's arcade -Mafia- with him and he was town and I was a wolf, or on that online mafia thing by Voss. I don't have much or any experience with a !wolf SJ, but I feel like saying he's lean town anyways.

I agree Oli overreacted a bit earlier. Which is concerning, but I do think its replicable by town in some circumstances. However, I don't feel like tinfoiling lag/oli today though. Especially if Varcron/Ozywho is wolf, at which point I feel like wolf Lag has no reason to poke me to move to a tie-inducing vote between two wolves because that only gives me town-credit and not really much for himself.

Very much agreed, it's like the thread doesn't want to address him, which is weird. That being said...

.......you are acting really weirdly. You seem to "feel bad" about lying as scum. The ghost of Magoroth is shouting at the sky "NO TOWN SHOULD WISH FOR THEIR OWN DEMISE"... I dislike Ozy more than you here, but I have a massive eye on you.

I already made my case against Varcrozy on the beginning of page 7. My vote is on Ozy right now. Past that, there'd probably be a low activity scum; assuming scum!Varcrozy, we have a towncore of Martinbomber, Gikkle, probably Lagliver and most definetly me + a townread on SJ, a slight townread on LightHack too. From there, we can lynch those who remain in the PoE and win.

I think your tone is pretty different when you're town vs when you're scum, and you've been consistently using your town tone. This is half a meta read and half an objective read.

And here, you're worried about getting pockted, which is towny

    You made me laugh there.

SJ is being pure, carefree and yet still somewhat contributing, generating reactions (such as yours!) and creating interesting interactions. The Cyber read is one of those interaction-generating stances. I'm not saying I agree with him about giving a lot of weight to the incompleteness of Cyber's list, but I do think he has a bit of a point.

I will be keeping an eye on your future tone because this is an interesting spike in tone you have here.

You mean the fact Cyber did not include all players in his reads list is a massive town tell? I will have to disagree on that one, sir... it certainly isn't scummy and perhaps it could be argued that it is somewhat towny, but certainly not a tell strong enough to base a strong read on.

I didn't understand the medieval part one bit ftr
The medieval part meant that you were judging the early discussion based on principles that were brought into the discussion later, which makes no sense if you want to analyze the intents at that point of the discussion, hence the comparison with looking down on medieval people for not using planes. Maybe the comparison was a little clumsy xD.

Are you actually being serious here?

Also, ftr. If we lynch 1 wolf out of the "single slots" - this strategy is 100% win. While mislynching 1 double slot before ascension makes the strategy impossible anymore.

Wolves literally have Max 2 kills (realistically 0-1?)
    We can confirm how many?
We're close to being mechanically won and you want to lynch between 2 double slots? One of which is basically close to confirmed unless you actually believe 6 out of 7 townies voted 2 out of 3 wolves day1.
I was half-serious about the double slot thing; it was more of a barb, to be fair. I mean that by the time we give enough tokens to someone for them to ascend, we will still have had to lynch people in the meantime, and we could well end up just giving tokens to a scum, who could then ascend AND use the ton of tokens we'd have given him to kill us, because ascended scum can still use tokens.

This is a hot take that NEEDS to be explained, for it is far from being self-explanatory. In fact, Cyber more or less feels like a wolf in a box right now. I think you're genuine in your general behavior and are pretty much saying what you think for real, so I'm not too willing to say you also feel like one, but you are technically in the PoE too. Therefore, please explain.

Also, you voted Lag, but if you want to vote his slot, you have to vote Oliver. You also have to explain yourself.
