Wow, the outcome really took me by surprise. I didn't expect Unknown to be Mafia with Dougler by the end of Day 3 since the odds were Dougler didn't even need to be lynched with panda AFK 22 out of the 24 hours. Didn't seem like she was coming back and choosing not to kill only reinforced this. Even if she spoke out Day 4 I don't think I would have believed her regardless what she had to say or consider lynching someone else.

I'm going to stand by my train of thought for now, one which PowersThatBe's LW has only made stronger. I am much more inclined to lynch Panda or thedougler over anyone else today. Interested to see what Mesk514 thinks of all this and hoping to hear more from Panda.

Here are my thoughts.

Mesk514 was on the verge of being lynched Day 1 before thedougler offered up Veri instead and also suggests Mesk's plays as an attempt to bait the Mafia. Better to attempt to cause a mislynch rather than lose a Mafia on Day 1. thedougler possible scum along with Mesk514 but with the way Mesk514 played especially on Day 1, her reckless behavior and near lynch makes me think a real scum wouldn't behave this way.

Unknown1234 seems so scum and I'm willing to believe at this point he likely is not, at least not with Mesk514 as there seems to be some distance between them and he also carelessly put Mesk514 on L-1 on Day 1 which I find unlikely for scum to do, even inexperienced scum. His scum buddy would have to be thedougler, but dougler had Unknown1234 pegged for scum which could be bussing or not. They also took opposing sides when it came down to Powers Vs. Sino with Unknown1234 defending Sino the most. Unknown1234 would have had to be coached in night chat into taking this course of action. Unknown also tried to put focus on Panda and thedougler Day 1 along with Veri.

Goastse didn't have dougler in his sights yet and any one of those 3 could be setup to take the fall for Goastse being killed thus avoding any suspicion later coming his way from either Goatse or his Death. thedougler had Power's ear and support on Day 1 and Powers had been taking flak from Veri and Unknown1234 wouldn't make much sense trying to take him out.

Almost everyone here has zero to little FM experience and in my eyes Goastse, Panda, Powers and Dougler would seem to have the most. We've mislynched 2 people as we tried to read if they were scum, if they defended themselves too much, didn't contribute enough, looked as if they were teaming, et cetera. We tried overanalyze and tally how many pro town moves and how many scum moves X player made. New players might play outside the meta, and probably going say and do things that will make them appear scum which is why now that we have 3 town left and 2 scum I say we have been looking for scum in the wrong place.

Panda already made a post saying she had been too busy to post because she was playing another FM on her home forum, she could be an offsiter with more experience than all of us combined and we know very little about the dougler from things that happened this game and he could be scum with anyone who is currently alive, some more than others.

So I am willing to roll the dice on this and say Mesk514 and Unknown1234 most likely are not scum and recomend that we instead lynch either Panda or thedougler today. We should have plenty of discussion time and must not make a decision before getting input from everyone.

Almost everyone here has zero to little FM experience and in my eyes Goastse, Panda, Powers and Dougler would seem to have the most. We've mislynched 2 people as we tried to read if they were scum, if they defended themselves too much, didn't contribute enough, looked as if they were teaming, et cetera. We tried overanalyze and tally how many pro town moves and how many scum moves X player made. New players might play outside the meta, and probably going say and do things that will make them appear scum which is why now that we have 3 town left and 2 scum I say we have been looking for scum in the wrong place.

Panda already made a post saying she had been too busy to post because she was playing another FM on her home forum, she could be an offsiter with more experience than all of us combined and we know very little about the dougler from things that happened this game and he could be scum with anyone who is currently alive, some more than others.

So I am willing to roll the dice on this and say Mesk514 and Unknown1234 most likely are not scum and recomend that we instead lynch either Panda or thedougler today. We should have plenty of discussion time and must not make a decision before getting input from everyone.

Warning: We need 3 votes to lynch and Mafia controls 2 of them, that means if one town member casts a single vote towards another town member the Mafia can hammer than person and instantly end the game for town. DO NOT VOTE anybody until everyone had a chance to talk and a reasonable disconsensus has been reached between ALL PLAYERS about who wants to vote what.

My read of Powers especially after Veri flipped town was that he could be scum leading town with thedougler.

Has been aware of AFK players and is weary of them, especially thedougler and does not allow for Mesk514 to be in a position of being hammered with enough time left and thedougler not speaking Day 1. Is he doing this because he wants to make sure dougler is not a better Day 1 lynch or to make sure his scum buddy has Day 1 interaction?
Even though thedougler's appearance was short and was being much expected by Powers he seemed to take dougler's points without any resistance and was sold on the idea of lynching Veri which he already considered scum.

Powers waited for thedougler, it's like he knew he was coming but Powers's own analysis of Day 1 considers thedougler strong scum so I didn't make a fuss about it other then mention as a possibility that Veri also saw.

Once again, this could very well be Powers's bussing of thedougler and he sure is capable enough to pull that off. But what I'm seeing right now is a railroad attempt on Powers by Sino and Mesk514 both of which did not want Day 1 lynch and one of which remained completly neutral throughout Day 1.

Goatse's murder as an attempt to frame you seems far fetched, he seemed pro town enough for me Day 1 and my bets were that Mafia would target PowersThatBe, GoastseOntheCupboard, Panda or until Veri flipped town, thedougler for their Night 1 kill. Other than Powers's initial read on him, he was not being considered scum and even Powers later agreed about his reads when he offered up Mesk514 for lynch. He put pressure on you with me but made it clear why and that he would not stop until you brought something to the table and he had a read on you.

Goatse was a town asset and I'm much more inclined to believe he was killed because of that instead of a frame job, but I can also see you being scum with someone like Unknown1234 and whacking Goatse because out of the 2 people who voted you he was considered less scummy and you took him out regardless of the consequences because from Day 1 chat clearly he wasn't going to let you, Unknown or Mesk off the hook so easily.

You keep giving hypotheticals of what you would do if you were scum as if you want us to believe that would in fact be your behavior and since it wasn't you are not scum, but other people who behaved the way you would have as scum are. Seemed to express regret on doing so and the timing of this action could mean he didn't wanted to be cut out of being in the vote should Mesk514 be lynched and fliped Red and what others with think if he didn't hop on the obvious wagon.

I gunned for Sino, but the comment and quote previous to the Vote was also an attack on Veri, my voting of Sino is not meant to be in defense of Veri. Also felt curious about Goatse's position regarding Sino but he had a reasonable enough reason as I still don't have much of a read on Sino as opposed to scum trying to piggyback on my vote.

The RQS got us talking and reading but even though Panda phrased it in a friendly way and leaving no obligation to participate anyone not doing so could be placed under scrutiny, sure enough everyone did. That's not a bad thing but just starting something helpful won't make me Town read panda.
As for PowersThatBe's read on me being scum I think he is doing what he stated, give his reads and fish for scum tells based on answers. Town won't always read town and scum won't always read scum so nothing solid but a record of things to be referenced to shed some light on his future reads and how the players react.
The fact he is scum hunting makes me inclined to read him as town, though scum leading town isn't impossible.

Saying that if we mislynch there will be consequences when he was the one at L-3 which makes me think he is trying to take the pressure off.
This kind of reasoning could go both ways with Town lynching a mafia, but it doesn't invalidate his point.

I gunned for Sino, but the comment and quote previous to the Vote was also an attack on Veri, my voting of Sino is not meant to be in defense of Veri. Also felt curious about Goatse's position regarding Sino but he had a reasonable enough reason as I still don't have much of a read on Sino as opposed to scum trying to piggyback on my vote.

The RQS got us talking and reading but even though Panda phrased it in a friendly way and leaving no obligation to participate anyone not doing so could be placed under scrutiny, sure enough everyone did. That's not a bad thing but just starting something helpful won't make me Town read panda.
As for PowersThatBe's read on me being scum I think he is doing what he stated, give his reads and fish for scum tells based on answers. Town won't always read town and scum won't always read scum so nothing solid but a record of things to be referenced to shed some light on his future reads and how the players react.
The fact he is scum hunting makes me inclined to read him as town, though scum leading town isn't impossible.

After postponing it for months someone finally got me to tab out of sc2 and make an account on the Mafia forums. :)
So I guess I should say a few things about myself.

My name is Renata, I'm 27 years old and live with my foster family in a Canadian small town. Ever since I was a child I've had a knack for computers and it's safe to say I spent more time growing up in cyberspace than anywhere else, where I developed a passion for online gaming through the blizzard classics (SC:BW, D1&D2, WCIII and later on WoW). Despite having little to complain about, I find myself at a general dissatisfaction towards life partly due to it's unanswered questions and the fact it always ends in death. I'm a strong believer in personal freedom, individualism and against parentalism. Been playing sc2Mafia for about a year and half now and never once considered switching to town of salem or thought about trying forum mafia, really stepped up my game these past few months as a means to keep myself distracted from some really harsh difficulties and the binge has proven itself quite effective. This year however, I plan to cut back so I can focus and allocate more time for the other aspects of my life. I can be real lazy so you have more chance to reach me on sc2 than catching me online in the forums. Other than Mafia and Arcade I enjoy Single Player RPGs and online sandbox games like Minecraft and Rust.
