We either allow you to keep doing this and alienate yodaddy and other people who get annoyed with what you do, or you have to stop this or quit lobbies with yodaddy in them and start another. Either way, this needs to end.

It is of my opinion that what you did is more aligned with griefing rather than game-throwing, and I will concede that looking at this report in a vacuum probably shouldn't result in any action being taken. But let me explain why I think a point needs to be made with this one. I have personally ignored two reports against you for causing a leave train against yodaddy's games based on the hidden nature of his setup. However that hidden nature isn't hidden anymore. Players are well aware for the most part what his setup can possibly contain and we never hear a peep of anyone kicking up such a stink as you do. There is no leave train reports, or griefing or game-throwing repots. Only ones against you. You have also clearly changed your approach to perpetuate this vendetta you have. -suicide has never been intended to be used how you used it.

This simply can't keep happening. This needs to stop. As another staff member said... we are not a court, we are not hamstrung playing a game of technicalities as if we were defence lawyers, judges, and prosecutors. As moderators of the game the core part of what we do it is to try and create the best environment for the game. Ask yourself, is what you are doing part of a good environment? Should players be expected to play gimped games because of your prejudice to constantly opt out of a rather benign off-meta setup?

@Yodaddy2 your job is done (submitting the report). To ensure report threads stay relevant and as civil as possible it's common practice to restrict replies to the accused and staff who deliberate on the matter.

I agree context is important but the way Ganelon did it was flawed and annoying. "South is racist but so was the North" to sum it up. Like, no duh that isn't the point. I haven't read this thread in awhile but if memory serves me right this happened a lot.

There was a mini documentary on some nordic prison that emphasis rehab and it looked great. It seemed small so I'm left curious how a larger prison would go. Also goes without question some people are beyond rehabilitation.

the way to report griefers was to get up 4-5 demos (yeah 4-5 games of 20-40 minutes) which takes ages, up in a report and all demos was pretty close to eachother with dates where player unreasonably attacks me because of my name cause he knows who i am which happened alot when i used mayor name and or same name cause griefers be attacking ppl who they don't like, thats how reports on griefers worked out, look how long time i had to waste on reporting a griefer who constantly just attacked me randomly without evidence for no reason just because I used the same name and he knew who i was and just said i was mafia and wanted to lynch me without evidence. ppl would say they are sheriff and randomly attack me on first day for lynch mr rumox.

legit griefing right there buddy. so why do we use 9 years to ban these griefers again?
Addressing this point you made. I pulled up all ignored reports from you during this period of games you are talking about. There are 9.

Report 1: This was in the first post I made, evident this person didn't deserve to be punished. He was evil he has every right to kill you, and when he wasn't you lied to him.
Report 2: Bank hacker accusation, guy was a donor.
Report 3: Ban evasion smurf accusation, couldn't determine if it truly was a smurf.
Report 4: Accuses a player of randomly lynching as mayor, deemed not a game-throw as he wasn't randomly lynching (was reading chat history)
Report 5: Accuses a player of targeting him. Said player announces he will target him pre-game and tries to execute him two nights in a row. This at first glance looks like a possible case to punish them (however it is their only report against their name so it would be a watch-list), however after failing the first night execute due to a RB, Mafia do not kill. So he jails you again and tries to execute you again. The Escort that RB'd the jailor thinking that he found a killer rb'd him again. You were then lynched on day 3 in part probably to solve the dilemma the town were in.

Report 6: Accuses a player of targeting him. The Mayor lynched you because the BD claimed he bussed you with him (no mafia kill)
Report 7: Accuses a player of game-throwing. Decision is made that him quitting the game wasn't done to game-throw.
Report 8: Accuses players of skyping, evidence isn't clear enough.
Report 9: Accuses a player of game-throwing. Didn't understand the nuance of the situation and it had to be explained by two people that the person wasn't game-throwing.

I decided to stop going over replays here as they didn't relate to you accusing people of targeting you and was well outside the scope of the era where you said you were being targeted. I've also highlighted all the cases you claimed people were targeting you. All of them have been proven to not be a simple case of "targeting you" but rather you simply not understanding the broader picture of the game state outside yourself. The only report you uploaded 4-5 demos that got ignored was the frivolous report I touched on in my first post in this thread.

So I ask you again, where are these reports that have offended you?

A hurdle for abolishing mandatory sentences would be the sense of justice people get if this topic ever gains public traction I can see people voting for officials just to preserve it. I see mandatory sentencing being a very hard thorn to pull out. All for rehabilitation over punishment tho. If someone is in rehabilitation and working can fairly be attributed to them getting better (work experience, mental wellbeing, etc) then I'm fine with them being put to work but defs not for pennies.

Fun fact: Capital punishment here was abolished in 1922, and then in 2010 we amended our criminal code to never allow a state or jurisdiction to allow capital punishment ever again.

Okay so let's ignore your reports then MasterNinja. Let's look at this an0n guy you are using as your point of argument. He currently has 2 threads in the punishment section. His first offense is role-quitting which he received a 2x watch-list for. Fair punishment, it wasn't even put on hold so his punishment escalation has already started early like you wanted. His second offense was griefing and game-throwing, he got a 4x watch-list for this. Still fair punishment, even though this is a serious crime a warning to not do it again is more applicable than just banning a person. Now he has 5 replays filed against him for numerous rule breaks with a moderators recommendation of a ban which he will 100% be receiving. How is any of this unfair moderation from your perspective?

It's always better to warn first then ban because it serves as an encouragement for players to stay within the rules instead of instantly pushing them down a path of resentment they may have not gone down if they weren't banned. Banning first will never be an option besides ban evasion and hacking. It doesn't make sense from reformative perspective and as Elixir pointed out it doesn't make sense if you want Mafia to even exist in the arcade section at all.

If you have disagreements with how certain other cases have been dealt with we have the Answer Hall for you to ask questions.

If it's the timely manner of reports being dealt with, well I'm sorry but like I said before the report back log is only a week old and we push a ban update ~weekly. We will never operate on a faster schedule unless it's warranted (hackers) simply because we have lives outside of this website/game.

In your last report a year ago you accused a player game-throwing for executing you when you claimed Marshall as well as accusing him of targeting you in numerous replays you uploaded. Let's look at the reason for this report being ignored

    Replay 2101
Player in question is the Godfather and kills Souleater (a spy) n1.
    Nothing wrong here.

    Replay 2010
Again, he is godfather and kills Souleater n1.
    Again, nothing wrong with that.

    Replay 2008
He is a jailor and jails souleater n1. He asks for role. Souleater says "n1 - 1 NS". He then chooses to execute. Souleater then claims marshall.
Nothing wrong there either. Why shouldn't he execute somebody who gave him an obviously fake LW?

    Replay 1985
    He is a serial killer.
    Souleater claims mayor publicly d1.
    Accused player kills Souleater n1.
    Again... nothing wrong here.

    Replay 2282
As arson, the accused player douses Souleater n1.
    Again, there's nothing wrong here.

Evil roles can target whatever townies they want.
    Verdict: Ignored.
I see nothing wrong with this decision. Also, at first I didn't understand why you thought reporting someone is "hard work" since it really isn't. Then I read over your second latest report that resulted us taking a new stance in regards to people who use the same name not being protected from witch hunting in most situations. The poor accused says it best so I will just quote them,

The "crime" committed happened over the spawn of 200 games (first replay mafia game #1908 last replay mafia game #2114). So i'm getting banned for 2 weeks because I targeted the same player night one FOUR TIMES over the course of 200 games ? This is some advanced bullshit.
You cherry picked 4 games over a span of 200 to deliberately paint a questionable narrative, especially considering your entitled opinion that because you choose the same name every game you should be immune from being killed night one. You're right reporting is hard work if you are going to that great of a length to try and get someone banned.

Report backlog is a week old at most, chill out. Here is some info that we don't usually give out but since you are seething I'll concede it just this once. The player you are crying about (Anon) was recommended to be banned 2 days ago. Once the next ban wave goes live he will be banned. Remember we all have lives outside of this website and Mafia so if you expect us to be quick to the trigger for everything then I will just say right now you can expect you be disappointed all the time, sorry.

I'm all for constructive feedback into making the process better for players and moderators but when you come in here all belligerent, especially with your history, I find it hard to take what you say seriously.

Mmm yes being pro abolishment cause it doesn't affect you... until your factories come to a screaming halt because the plantations stop producing the goods they require. Tariffs the federal government put in place to ensure domestic markets rather than reliance on the international market. Just because they didn't have slavery like the South doesn't mean they wouldn't have been affected by abolishing slavery, they had skin in the game too. For visual sake the British textile industry was ~60% reliant on the Souths cotton alone. Imagine how reliant the North was on it and other slave produced goods because of tariffs encouraging domestic trade. But yeah, another rabbit hole - just peaking down this one.

Pls don't @ me anymore I want off this wild ride

No Ganelon my point of discussion with you and Helz are different, you aren't the same person. My point with you and always has been is how you keep pushing away the slavery aspect of the civil war. You have done it since the beginning of the thread and you are still doing it.

    >Abolishment was an undeniable Northern policy
    >War is started over this policy

"Northerners didn't give a shit about slavery they just wanted to protect the union."

If you think the Northerners didn't give a shit about slavery what was the point of even taking the stance? You keep on trying to separate the slavery when you fucking can't, then you go off on a tangent. You can't chop away the driving factor of something and just look at the result. This is what I have been saying on the topic since I started commenting on it. I give up chasing you down all these rabbit holes you go down to dodge this.

    ►►Re: Right-wing liberalism vs Conservvatism◄◄

From the link in previous posts

Contemporary historians overwhelmingly agree that secession was motivated by slavery. There were numerous causes for secession, but preservation and expansion of slavery was easily the most important of them. The confusion may come from blending the causes of secession with the causes of the war, which were separate but related issues. (Lincoln entered a military conflict not to free the slaves but to put down a rebellion or, as he put it, to preserve the Union.)
Even historians of that era overwhelmingly disagree with the rhetoric put out here.

Never said the North wasn't evil in fact I have made several posts indicating the opposite. If you choose to interpret that I have the stance that the North is morally superior and can't be evil after I have said numerous times they weren't then that's on you, not me. I'm not here to argue every half degree, intricate variable of the civil war. I have said my purpose time and time again, you cannot separate the abolishment sentiment that predominantly came from Northern states from why the South seceded. I think I have said this at least 5 times now. Literally go read the thread again if you think I am propping the North up on some false moral platform.

You and Ganelon can run off on tangents all you want but I will keep bringing up the point that Ganelon tries to stray from.

North wanted to end slavery, South didn't. South was clearly on the verge of seceding so the North compromised to allow slavery in existing Southern slave states. The South saw the writing on the wall that even if this happened, slavery wasn't destined to stay so they seceded anyway to ensure it's survival on their terms. The Union declared war because they seceded. This is as layman as I think I can make it while not subscribing to a biased narrative. I really do not know why you keep trying to push this other narrative.

Uhh if you want to challenge or understand someone's opinion you literally have to argue. Do you want to hold hands and dance around a fire singing kumbaya until we eventually understand each other? I get that you want to be "open minded" but that is a pretty naïve view on how people with opposing ideas talk to each other.

In logic and philosophy an argument is a series of statements intended to determine the degree of truth of another statement, the conclusion.

Sounds fairly standard as far as war time doctrines go but the actual implementation of it leaves a lot to be desired. The south did not recover for a very long time.
... IV. The army will forage liberally on the country during the march. To this end, each brigade commander will organize a good and sufficient foraging party, under the command of one or more discreet officers, who will gather, near the route traveled, corn or forage of any kind, meat of any kind, vegetables, corn-meal, or whatever is needed by the command, aiming at all times to keep in the wagons at least ten day's provisions for the command and three days' forage. Soldiers must not enter the dwellings of the inhabitants, or commit any trespass, but during a halt or a camp they may be permitted to gather turnips, apples, and other vegetables, and to drive in stock of their camp. To regular foraging parties must be instructed the gathering of provisions and forage at any distance from the road traveled.

    V. To army corps commanders alone is entrusted the power to destroy mills, houses, cotton-gins, &c., and for them this general principle is laid down: In districts and neighborhoods where the army is unmolested no destruction of such property should be permitted; but should guerrillas or bushwhackers molest our march, or should the inhabitants burn bridges, obstruct roads, or otherwise manifest local hostility, then army commanders should order and enforce a devastation more or less relentless according to the measure of such hostility.

VI. As for horses, mules, wagons, &c., belonging to the inhabitants, the cavalry and artillery may appropriate freely and without limit, discriminating, however, between the rich, who are usually hostile, and the poor or industrious, usually neutral or friendly. Foraging parties may also take mules or horses to replace the jaded animals of their trains, or to serve as pack-mules for the regiments or brigades. In all foraging, of whatever kind, the parties engaged will refrain from abusive or threatening language, and may, where the officer in command thinks proper, give written certificates of the facts, but no receipts, and they will endeavor to leave with each family a reasonable portion for their maintenance.

VII. Negroes who are able-bodied and can be of service to the several columns may be taken along, but each army commander will bear in mind that the question of supplies is a very important one and that his first duty is to see to them who bear arms....

    — William T. Sherman, Military Division of the Mississippi Special Field Order 120, November 9, 1864.
Like I said the actual implementation of this doctrine leaves a lot to be desired. The burning of an entire city (I'm assuming it's Atlanta) cannot fairly be attributed solely to Sherman imo. Sure he is the superior, but there is so much more to what happened to Atlanta then simply Sherman burned it. Examples: confederates took up defensive positions in the city, confederates destroyed buildings before fleeing, subordinates under Sherman taking their own initiative, conflicting stories on the destruction regardless of allegiance.

    I'm angry
I've had enough of these people
They're a bunch of Christian-murdering scum that run giant death factories
Keeping babies alive and selling their body parts
What more do you need to know about these people?
I go out and face these scum
They literally crawl out from under rocks
    They have green-looking skin
And they run around screaming "We love Satan, we want to eat babies."
    I have them on video

Hillary is into creepy, weird, sick stuff, man
She sleeps in the same room with that creepy weirdo woman whose mother wears a hood over her head. (What the hell?)
That woman, number one, is ugly
Imagine how bad she smells, man
I'm told her and Obama just stink
Obama and Hillary both smell like sulfur

    Literal vampire potbelly goblins
Are hobbling around coming after us
My spirit gets close to that evil and I feel it go
    Ahhhh! Ahhhh! Ahhhh!

    We're such self-centered crap
We don't even notice Hell itself rising up against us
Millions are pouring in people, of the very worst type
    And I'm so pissed
We're gonna stab your daughter at the mall
    Ahhhh! Ahhhh! Ahhhh!
We're going to stab your wife, your son
    Ooooooooooooh!
We're gonna stab you with a butcher knife
And then the Police Chief is gonna say
"We love our Somalis, we love our Muslims
Oh they're so good, oh they're so sweet."

It's okay Ganelon, we are strangers on the internet after all. Literally messages going through a SeRiEs Of TuBeS. Discussing stuff like this can be mentally straining because it's a challenge of a very personal part of yourself that isn't often challenged.

The Union was by no means morally superior. If you read the actual appeasements they tried to make you will see how cooked everyone in the USA was. Some of it can be argued as time wasting but the Corwin Amendment... lol
