None of this includes any "interpretation". These are all little nuggets of common sense that you have yet to say are wrong in any way. Do you have something new to bring to the table or what?

Rumox, if the majority of players are not okay with my save, they would repick, wouldn't they?
and appley, it's not as if the people have to type -repick one at a time within 15 seconds. you have to calculate it like it is...how long it takes one person to type -repick, and for 7 others to do the same. Within the same alloted time.

Hey. I'm cygx. A lot of you know me, some of you don't, and I'm sure the views are varied. For those of you who don't, I've been playing Mafia since late August of last year. I've been known to troll, or dance around the rules on a few occasions, all of which being before January, when I decided to cut the shit and really start trying to actually be of help.
I've already achieved my 20k mark months ago. Now I want to take the next step, and become a keeper. Not only because my knowledge of the game would come to great use, but simply because it's the next logical step, and something I've set to achieve.
Many of you may not know this, but I've been busting my hump this last week trying to prove to the staff and to the community that I would be a valuable asset to the team of keepers. I've played Mafia to the point where it hurts my brain, for the sole purpose of showing that I can be useful too. I've played the game for a long time, so I believe I have a pretty good grasp of what's going on.
Anyway, that's it. I figured Blazer did a similar poll, so why can't I? :)
Why would you beg for keeper in the first place? That is my only question.
First, I wouldn't call it begging. I've actually been leaving the staff alone about this for the most part. I only really tried to drive my point home to Ambient today after he seemed to have forgotten that he would let me know in a few days. I just felt kinda blown off and by the way he responded, it seems like that's exactly what happened.
Second, like I said, it's a goal I've set out to achieve. Also, after actually handling a good number of reports in the last few days I think I would be an asset.

As you may or may not know, I approached Ambient last Sunday about becoming a keeper. I've been busting my hump since then to prove myself to the community by playing countless games of Mafia not because I enjoy it, but simply to show that I would be useful for something.
So I approached Ambient about it today in a game, and the only thing he mentioned was that I have 800 wins, and now he thinks I'm a point hacker.
I explained to him that one of you changed my stats back to the way I had them, and I'm honestly not sure which one of you did it, or how. But now he's suspicious that I hacked my bank because of those 800 wins that appeared right with my points.
Please clear this up. I am genuinely trying to show my worth here and I am a bit disheartened that all Ambient can do is not recognize how hard I've been working, but instead look for a reason to deny me.
ashfall is an entirely legitimate player, more active than most anyone I know.
DR, you should be flattered it's players like him who play your creation so much over the video game initially bought in order to. I was such a player for several months before. It is an active compliment to the value of SC2 Mafia.
We all play video games; it's a substitution for other habits. Activity should be appreciated, not punished.
He's a great player too. And a very cool guy.
If he's on a "points ban", he shouldn't be.
Once he passed 10K and the new achievements with all the high bonus points, he started playing a lot more, seeking -prefer.
Being motivated means you're a points hacker?
Also, with the achievements and how people farm them, this data...
"May: 8.2k | 154 W | 316 total
June: 10.6k | 240 W | 439 total
July: 13.5k | 347 W | 601 total
July: 18k | 512 W | 867 total
July: 21 k | 647 W | 1090 total"
... is entirely legitimate. I'm very active too when I play and I'm pretty sure I have more of a life--and a quite enjoyable one--than most.
As usual, an assumption is made, and someone's hobby and dedication is ruined for it.
This is why there are so many gamethrowers, grievers, cheaters, hackers, and "trolls".
Mods should both learn from their mistakes and be humble enough to admit it and fix them.
This is yet another travesty maliciously inflicted upon someone's life. If someone were to meet you and beat you up and take your computer, how would you feel? How about: meet you, beat you up, and take your car? Or motorcycle? Or girlfriend? Or favorite shirt? It's not the seeming frivolousness of the object being stolen from someone else by others hiding behind their computer, it's the fact that something is being stolen from someone else without warrant.
If the things mods do on here were face-to-face, I believe none of the the things mods do would fly.
I really feel for ashfall; the same thing was done to me and I've felt truly insulted and frustrated about it ever since. Fortunately, I have better things to do. For all you know, playing SC2 Mafia brings ashfall great joy and escape from problems in his life. To play judge is a horrible thing, especially without the humility to imagine yourself in someone else's shoes.
What was done to him deserves to be fixed today.
(And for the record, no one just "plays for points". This game is played by anyone, because they enjoy playing it. Points are a bonus and a means to gain -blacklist and -prefer, which greatly affect the enjoyability of this game.)
I gotta agree with Xen here. It doesn't seem right to be punishing someone for playing your game too much, or even using that as a fallback reason in the chance that he DID legitimately get those points. Seems more like an easy way out of admitting to someone's bad call.
Also, what you just essentially did was put down a warning for people not to play your game too much, or this might happen. Might as well put "too much playing" in the table of crimes and punishments.

oh and drama, two problems with your comment:
1. it's either griefing or it isn't. if it's griefing, it's against the rules. no rules are being broken so therefore it isn't griefing.
2. griefing is defined in the rules as trolling to the point of making the game unplayable. well in order for that to be true, i'd have to be trolling. in order to be trolling, my actions would require me having done them with intent to be disruptive for the sake of being disruptive. this is not true either, as i am by no means aiming to be disruptive. i'm playing the game to have fun and enjoy myself, and others may as well. if they don't, that's not my intention. in order for me to be trolling, that has to be my intention.

i swear to god this guy landstander has a problem with EVERYTHING i do. this is the only reason he's saying to take -prefer away. obvious proof of this is that he never had a problem with -prefer, or at least never complained about it, until i started using it.
-prefer gives an incentive to make that slow crawl to 20k. at least that's what it was for me. what would be the incentive if it wasn't there? what great reward would there be? surely it would need to be replaced with something of equal value.
besides, it keeps me from making "troll" saves. jesus christ this guy's never happy is he?
i swear to god this guy landstander has a problem with EVERYTHING i do. this is the only reason he's saying to take -prefer away. obvious proof of this is that he never had a problem with -prefer, or at least never complained about it, until i started using it.
-prefer gives an incentive to make that slow crawl to 20k. at least that's what it was for me. what would be the incentive if it wasn't there? what great reward would there be? surely it would need to be replaced with something of equal value.
besides, it keeps me from making "troll" saves. jesus christ this guy's never happy is he?

well that point WOULD be valid, except you're using the lag cheating argument. He wasn't lag cheating. In order to be cheating, you need the intent to gain an advantage for yourself. This wasn't the case here.

this guy clearly has significant backing that he didn't do anything wrong. where are the mods to correct this wrongful punishment? and once it's found to be wrong, how will he be compensated for the time he wrongfully spent on KV list?
I'd suggest a get off KV free card, valid for all the days he spent on KV list for this incorrect punishment. It would only be fair.
