the paradox applies specifically to set theory because of the way sets and the like are defined. If you try to declare there is some set that contains all other sets - well that's cool and all but i can just make the power set of that set and bam i have a bigger one. hence there's no way you could ever have a "largest" set.

this doesn't necessarily apply to other abstract concepts of infinity, although in pretty much any case where your infinity has some arbitrary rules or bounds to it then we could find a way to break those bounds. Meanwhile a "pure infinity" with no limitations would be a pretty useless concept since there'd be no way to interact with it.

1) a reviewer is not going to catch EVERY crime in a game because they’re probably going at 8x speed and just focused on the reported issue. As you know from experience

Have you reported anybody for it? I’ve reported a jailor for demanding my roleCard be read to them or ask what sound it made when I got my role. Generally the person didn’t consider that they were being unfair and immediately stops once they’re told.

With 5 instances shown and you basically saying you're going to keep doing it, I don't think I can grant an appeal.

So, i mean yes, we do expect you to play even if you don't love the setup. You can leave if the setup is like griefing levels of bad.

Now, you do have a good point about the instant start exploit making it difficult to repick. This is something on frinckles' todo list. Since that exploit is involved and you otherwise had a clean history, I think we can decrease the punishment to On Hold if you can agree to stop constantly leaving games.

Also, I would point out that you can always start your own lobbies to ensure that the setup you like is at least the first one considered.

In this game the bonker converts the SK to amnesiac n3 resulting in 3 mafia, 1 amnesiac, 1 auditor, 1 bonker, and 1 town alive. This should cause an instant win for all of the non-town but instead the day plays out resulting in 1 player getting pointlessly lynched. (bug is that bonker conversion seems to occur after checking for gameover?)


Additionally as a separate bug, players seem to get the "you got bonked" message twice whenever bonked which is confusing when trying to determine exactly what happened last night.

i appreciate the 2 of u jumping in well after the fact to dump on it some more after mostache's response was enough!

the idea was to find a middle ground - in the old ways mafia couldn't talk at all - in the new ways mafia can talk as much as they want with no fear which is actually a MASSIVE buff when playing with strong teammates.

What all 3 of you ignore is that i was suggesting adding the crime also to party host chats and mason chats - So for you to get caught as mafia by this there 1) has to actually be an investigator in the game which is already like 1 in 4 games, and 2) the mafia chat happens to be the only night chat in the game and 3) the invest actually picks to check you specifically

It would be pretty rare that it would catch you as mafia for sure IMO. But w/e.

At that point you might as well just give us a 24/7 scum chat.

Also it’s way more new player friendly to have 24/7 scum chat. I feel like playing your first game ever and roleing scum with no ability to get advice is a fast ticket to somebody never signing again

this can be disabled and we actually did that before but I think people missed it and it has one big advantage - if you know someone else is online it encourages you to stay online too
I think the agreed upon solution was to have the default for new members be that they are invisible (so it says a member is reading the chat but not their name)

if the modern consensus is to just remove it then we can do that
