    Before you even knew it, conversation turned into shouting, shouting into pushing, and pushing into an angry mob for which everyone knew someone was not going to survive.





    When the meeting security officers intervened, and the dust settled, Dark Magician was found dead.

    They were a Citizen of the Town alignment!

    Spoiler : Role Card :


    You are a Citizen!

    You are a standard citizen of the Town. Recently, an individual had come by and suggested you come to a meeting tomorrow regarding death threats that many in the town had received. When you arrive, you can tell not all are at ease...


    Win Condition: Town wins upon eliminating all who oppose them.

    Alignment: Town

    Special abilities:
    None.



    However, later this evening, Mike was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

    They were an Executioner of the Neural alignment!

    Spoiler : Role Card :


    You are an Executioner!

    Convinced that a certain citizen was responsible for a death threat you have received recently, you have made it your mission to eliminate them.


    Win Condition: You must eliminate a target by any means necessary.

    Alignment: Neutral

    Special abilities:
    You will be given a target of which you must eliminate.

    The target is guaranteed to be Town.

    If your target is night killed, then you will be given a new target that is guaranteed to be Town.

    In the extremely unlikely situation where there are no more Towns to be a target, when you havenít Eliminated any, you wonít be able to win.

    I donít know how to word the bad news to you, but, uh, at completion of your win condition you commit suicide. This occurs at that same time your target is eliminated. You will win.




    Night will begin in a little less than 4 hours from now.

    You signed up for a game that literally had this rule written in it. You are, in part, consenting to it by signing up to it. If you had a problem with it, raising such problems or concerns at signups or before hand would've been better. I've made the links to the setup clear, and even heavily advised on the signups post that the publicly available information be read.

    Anyways, as I've said, I'm being quite lenient on this.

    Keep in mind it was just a warning that I would appreciate seeing more game-related content. I recognize that parts of D1 can be fairly shit-posty as usual.

    Not only that, but this is an opportunity for me (as a new host) to learn from when to consider something as spam rather than game-related content. As much as shit-posting can be enjoyable, I would really prefer not to see large sections of the game just not be related to the game that I put my own effort into creating and trying to make enjoyable for people. Honestly, it's been really enjoyable to everyone play here, but if it devolves into high post counts of nothingness then I don't really value it as the same. As for where that border or line lies I don't know, and I may only figure it out by becoming an experienced host.

    We can discuss this more, but I would prefer if we do it post-game.

    I apologize for not realizing this sooner but it says this in the rules section:

    While I don't like imposing post restrictions, please try to keep your posts strictly related to the game, especially if you're planning to attain a high post count.

    50%+ of the game posts as of right now have been made by just 2 players.

    Quite frankly speaking, by making 300 posts within 40 hours of the day is rather quite imposing or intimidating for some people, especially if they have busy lives to deal with.

    If I were to allow everyone to have ~300 posts by now, this game could've reached ~3,600 posts on day 1.


    And the reason why I gave it 250 posts or so as a rough limit is because the Mafia Universe championships gets away with, at most, 200ish posts per player per day phase (though that is due in part to a 150 post limit that's unlocked 2 hours prior to EoD) and those are explicitly said to be expected high-activity games (Though all/most players do reach a high post-count in the champs, hence why).



    Tl;DR: If you're making (or planning) a large number of posts please ensure a very high majority of them are very related to the game (Just saying, for hypothetical example, "X shitpost is a reaction test" isn't going to cut it imo, especially if you make a lot of X shitposts). If this continues I will discuss it with @Marshmallow Marshall on possible solutions to this issue.


    Edit: To clarify, if the large majority of your posts is quite game-related, I'm not going to hold it against you for reaching like even 400 posts or so in a single day phase.

    It is now 24 hours left till EoD.

    As a reminder, this setup does eliminations with Majority + Plurality

    Meaning if an elimination were to happen right now, Gyrlander would die with 4 votes on him.

    If for some reason a no-elimination is desired, then vote "Skip"; so long as "Skip" has more votes than any single other vote wagon/train, an elimination will be avoided.

    Suicide is allowed if you so wish, but be warned that suicide in most setups where it is allowed can be a rather risky move. The suicide is processed at SoD, after ordering it during the night phase.

    As a reminder, death notes and last wills aren't allowed in this setup.

    Actually, come to think of it, I've said 2 things but they weren't exactly public but certainly one or some of the players here could have heard about it:

    1. Roles are partially determined prior to signups even posted, according to signup order. As to whether you can expect a hypothetical evil faction to consist of players 1, 2, and 3 or 1 and 12 is up to you to decide. I do place a fairly big emphasis on being random.

    2. I also said don't expect this to be ?KRC. As to what the hell that means you can decide and speculate all you want. I don't recall the exact wording I used, since it was in a discord server that I left.




    I also forgot to mention this: Some of your rolecards may or may not have hints about the setup in their role-card flavor/descriptions. This was originally meant to be posted at SoD1 (as per a hidden feature of the setup) but I got distracted by the delay.

    I apologize for the inconvenience and delay; If the day started without people having access to the website, it would've been unfair. I personally had these issues when I was trying to help test for the problem on Sc2Mafia's main discord.

    Thankfully, the issue appears to have been resolved in less than 24 hours, as everyone has now said they can use the website.

    CLARIFICATION:

    You have till SoD1 to respond to your role-card PM.

    That DOES NOT mean you have to respond within the next 3 hours!

    This is because the game starts on night 0, and that night IS PROCESSED FOR THE FULL 24 HOURS (as said in the signups post)!

    So, in reality, when role-cards were sent out you've had 28 hours to respond.

    Which only takes a few minutes to check and do, so unless your house got struck by Zeus and lost your internet connection for a whole 24 hours,

    I don't think there's any reasonable explanation to not force a replacement for not responding by D1.

    The game will begin in about 5 hours from now, I'll be sending role-cards in the 30 minutes or so.

    The SoD/EoD time will be 8 PM (EDT) for this game. It was decided on 9/22/2020 as S-FM 310 filled up first. The poll for S-FM 309's time had 4 votes for 6PM and 3 votes for 8PM, and therefore the losing timeslot (8PM) became this game's EoD/SoD time.

    A few reminders:

    This game starts with a night 0, and that is processed for the full 24 hours. Additionally, night kills won't occur at this time.

    Remember to respond to the role-card PM by d1, or you may be forcibly replaced!

    I thought I would share my input, even though I'm not someone who's supposed to be reviewing the setup.

    The idea looks interesting, but to be honest, with the points I make below, it seems rather very scum-sided unless the town just get lucky.

    So, let me get this straight, if a Healthy Subject visits the Covid Carrier, the Carrier will die but the Health Subject will become diseased?

    Considering that there appears to be no limit to the amount of Diseased subjects that can exist at one time, this appears to out-right state that if the Covid Carrier + 2 Disease exist, it'll be impossible for the Healthy and the Covid Canceller to win (while staying healthy) because the lynch/elimination + the Covid Canceller check on the Covid Carrier during intermission won't be enough to prevent (what would then be) 3 conversions per night/intermission unless the Diseased or Carrier targeted the same people.

    So, if I'm not mistaken, the majority just (almost) mechanically lose by night/intermission 2 provided no deaths of the Diseased or Covid Carrier by then. And if the Canceller dies before then, town have practically lost at that point because the (at least) 1 conversion per intermission/night would be matched by the 1 elimination per day phase, and that's assuming all the lynches/eliminations of the diseased were correct thereafter.


    So, theoretically speaking, the healthy subjects could just single out the Covid Canceller and eliminate them and win when the Carrier infects them all?

    By making people's win condition "Eliminate X or just survive to the end", people may just err on the side of caution and focus on having the town "survive" until they know who the Covid Canceller is. Its like having 1 mason leader (who can't recurit), 1 cultist, and a whole bunch of survivors who are convert-able but for some reason don't know that they were converted.


    I do have one question that isn't answered in the setup: Do all intermission actions occur at the same time? Because if the Covid Carrier visited someone on night 1, while being visited by the Covid Canceller, the convert would still go off despite the Carrier's death. And, presuming my Teal question above is correct, if the Covid Carrier were to visit a Healthy subject night/intermission 1 as well as be visited by a health subject on night/intermission 1, then two conversions will occur despite the death.


    Anyways, aside from all those points above, it seems it would be very difficult to catch scum without getting lucky simply because of mechanics such as "not knowing they were converted" and "Oh if you survive to the end you just win anyways unless you're the Canceller/Carrier". Everyone, I imagine, will be acting in very similar fashions amongst each other and it'll only be a matter of time before the town decides to go Covid Canceller hunting just because the Carrier or Diseased haven't died yet, and therefore the diseased would have an unstoppable path to majority (if not already).

    However, the mandatory lynches/eliminations beyond day 1 are a positive factor in the town's favor. Though honestly without further explained or written down mechanics town will just get rolled unless they decide to, like, RNG lynch/eliminate and hope the Canceller find the Carrier on night/intermission 1 if the lynch/elimination doesn't find them.


    Here are some ideas or suggestions, however it is entirely your setup so you may have better or more unique ideas:

    -Have more than 1 Covid Canceller role.

    -Maybe alter what the Covid Canceller does? Such as making their targets immune?

    -Alter the win-conditions. I'm not sure of what this should be, depends on what else you change about the setup.

    -Alternative idea, have the vote for elimination instead be a vote to "test" someone for COVID or cure them of it. Maybe there's some promise in a COVID-themed setup based on that?

    Keep in mind these are just IDEAS OR SUGGESTIONS.

    A player was invited to this game ("Norwee") from another site. Unfortunately, reCAPTCHA or something else is having issues preventing them from registering.

    I've /Sign'ed them in the hopes that the issue resolves before this game begins.

    That's understandable.

    This setup isn't meant to be a social experiment -- I don't think my setups will ever be like that. If they ever do experiment with something, it'll likely be with mechanics or rules and I'll have that setup be open rather than hidden (such as my other setup "Modbot Bias" that experiments with elimination/lynch mechanics).

    There are definitely opposing alignments in this setup.

    But as to whether those alignments have factions or not I cannot say, nor as to whether every non-town slot is against the town or not.

    But I'm not going to hold it against anyone if they just avoid hidden setups just because they're hidden (not like I would hold it against anyone for not signing anyways tho lol).

    Important clarifications:


    --There is a night 0, and unlike some other setups, the night 0 is processed for the full duration (24 hours). Therefore, when the game starts, the thread will be created, but nothing will be there other than a post mentioning it has begun, and it is Night 0.

    --You can vote to skip day by doing ‚ÄĚ[vote]Skip[/vote]‚ÄĚ , if the skip votes outnumber all of the other vote wagons, then no elimination will occur regardless if the skip vote has or has not reached majority. Even if, for example, there were 4 votes to skip, and there were four separate 2-votes on four different players (for a total of 8 votes to eliminate/yeet compared to 4 votes to skip). However, since the biggest wagon is a 2-vote, the skip vote would still win.

    Any questions about the setup should be sent to @MartinGG99 , and will be answered if possible. If a clarification is made about publicly available information, it will be likely be added here unless the game has already started in which case it will be stated in the game thread.


    This is a hidden setup. It is advised that you do a thorough read of the publicly available information in the setup link.


    The SoD/EoD time will be 8 PM (EDT) for this game. It was decided on 9/22/2020 as S-FM 310 filled up first. The poll for S-FM 309's time had 4 votes for 6PM and 3 votes for 8PM, and therefore the losing timeslot (8PM) became this game's EoD/SoD time.

    Disregarding the loss I was preety satisfied with this game!

    Because:

    1. My gut call on PSM was right

    2. My submission got itself eliminated (through its ability), whiiichh I may or may have not been hoping for, but I really didn't know who they were until Birdie flipped.
