This is mostly an extension of the "Moving Forward" thread where multiple people suggested having an archive of setups so that people can easily host existing setups. My question here is what should be the "standard" setup for S-FMs on the website? This is looking for a setup which is relatively vanilla, but well-balanced and enjoyable enough that it could be re-hosted multiple times.

mafia possible roles: consort, framer, godfather
town possible roles: sheriff, doctor, escort, citizen
Something along those lines. Could add more possible roles, but this is the basic shell of it.

Yep, this is it. The standard game of Mafia, with normal roles added to it. Also "mountainous" setups, the nightless no-power-role games.Quote:

When I think of "standard" in the sense of standard as standard can be, what Gerik has is about as basic as you can get. I'd even take out framer, consort and escort. Any real life basic game of mafia, the ones people do with like playing cards, usually just has the roles: Mafia (mafioso), Citizen, Sheriff, and Doctor.
