Dumbest movie you've ever watched
For me the newest Predator movie ( 2018 ) is pretty high up on that list. The plot is literally retarded, you can pretty much TL;DR it as 'aliens flew light years to steal autism because... evolution'. And no I'm not exagerrating. Also the movie has a second unintended meaning bc one of the actors hired by the director was a registered sex offender, and played a dude who kept hitting on one of the main female characters. Lol! Talk about a Predator.
Edit: Here's a review/kill count of the movie if you don't believe me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqjqEauW_TI

Re: Dumbest movie you've ever watched
I'm a fan of John Carpenter but some of his movies are genuinely terrible lmao. Some of them are literally comparable to me shooting a part of my boring daily routine and calling it a movie (in terms of suspense). I'm thinking of Halloween, Assault on Precinct (13?) and Prince of Darkness. They're absolutely terrible. Prince of Darkness is the better of the three and it's still absolutely trash lol

Re: Dumbest movie you've ever watched
Instead of naming a singular movie, I give you an entire genre of movies: Teen Movies.

Re: Dumbest movie you've ever watched
Some movie about a dude cheating on his gf at a bar ,cockroaches and something about an abyss that his gf looked into on the internet and might of gone crazy.
It was really really shit.

Re: Dumbest movie you've ever watched
Tusk is pretty high up there but that ones kinda so bad its good. 100% worth watching once and stay for the credits where it has a conversation from the producers hitting a bong and laughing about how ridiculous they can make the ending. The movie starts out totally serious but as it draws on it practically becomes a parody of itself.
The worst one I watched last year would probably be Mermaid Down. The plot make absolutely no sense in any way and the character development is a total joke. The 'bad guy' is just the cartoon level of 'evil because he is evil' and they try to mix in some strange ghost stuff that makes no sense. This is easily one of the worst movies I have ever seen and is not the 'so bad its good' kinda film.
The worst movie I have ever seen I think was called 'Gummy' but I can't even find it now. Some guy went across America and asked people for home videos in Burger King that he then scrambled into some very strange story of stuff he recorded. It would cut from kids killing cats to sell them to some guy to a guy whoring out his retarded sister to a methed out mom screaming at a 11 year old boy for taping silverware together to lift as dumbells. It kinda effectively drew out a very uncomfortable part of mentally unstable American society on lots of drugs. I think I was drunk off my ass and like 15 when I saw it but to this day that was probably the most uncomfortable I have ever been watching a movie. At least Requiem for a dream or Party Monster made sense and had a coherent story while this one was just insanity incarnate.

I think I just found it. I may watch it. It sounds like one of those movies that is so terrible it is actually good.
Edit: Never mind I just read the plot what the fuck is this lmao

Isn't Tusk the walrus thing? It wasn't that bad... but I haven't watched the credits xD.
Speaking of bongs... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJcljSYCKVk

I think you should take a moment to watch the final fight scene again. Tusk is an absolutely awful movie in the best of ways imo. I couldn't believe what I was watching in the end because of how serious the movie took itself in the beginning and I dont know if I have ever seen another movie pull such a crazy evolution.

Are those... teen slasher movies? Aka the really shit horror movies with a bunch of teenagers who make dumb decisions for literally no reason?
-
Re: Dumbest movie you've ever watched
For the "so bad it's good" category probably Taking Earth. The full thing is on YouTube.
For an actual bad movie, Rubber. I thought it would be so bad it's good but it was actually just so bad, it was dumb, pseudointellectual, and pointless.
-
Re: Dumbest movie you've ever watched
holy shit i forgot about rubber...that one was just actually Bad

Re: Dumbest movie you've ever watched
Iron sky would be a great one themed topically to this site since it’s got a nazi scientist turning a black man into a white man to “help” him

No no, there's a reason: to be realistic :D

Ohh, God. Chernobyl, the TV mini series, was just pure Kreygasm for me. To be specific, the part where they explained how a RBMK power plant works and revealed the secret (which would be a secret still to this day if the IRL scientist didn't commit a suicide and left that note) - I must have watched it a dozen times, just because it's so rare that a series goes into actual IRL technical stuff. I remember learning by heart how that RBMK reactor works, and how some greedy graphite almost cost the life of the entire Eurasian continent.
Disappointing how they didn't put more weight in the showe regarding the work that was done post-disaster, and it's efficiency, given the importance.

Re: Dumbest movie you've ever watched
The only reason I know about Iron Sky is because the dude who does Der Untergang Parodies included Iron Sky in one of his parody series.
Edit: Has anyone watched Downfall/Der Untergang? It’s actually a pretty good movie even if you discount the numerous parodies (lol).

So true, this series was amazing. As a politics nerd, I couldn't help liking the fact it was in the USSR as much as the fact it was explaining actual technical details (vulgarized for us proleterians, but still). Shows how "saving money" clearly goes against the workers' security - and in this case, everyone's security -.

Re: Dumbest movie you've ever watched
Thanks for so many good ideas for movies. In general, when I have free time, I always watch some series or movies because that really relaxes me and makes me feel better. Plus, I'm doing this with my girlfriend, and that's doubly enjoyable. Nothing compares to the moments when we look at something together and she smiles nicely and I can't help but love her more and more. In the last period, we watch full movies online on fmovies and we like this site. Have you tried it?

Re: Dumbest movie you've ever watched
I forgot that I already posted here and was about to mention Rubber again, but I guess I already did.
Holy shit that movie is fucking bad, if you're reading this looking for dumb movies to laugh at please don't watch Rubber. The plot summary might draw you in thinking it's a cheesy B movie but I promise the movie's really boring and sucks fucking ass. There's no funny action or tire rampages. The entire purpose of the movie is that the director thought he was such a cool and clever guy for making a movie that makes no sense, so it's just a bunch of loosely-connected scenes that end up forming an incoherent plot. And not in the entertaining "why did the character do this action, that makes no sense what an idiot" way but in the "what the fuck does this have to do with anything else in the movie" way. The entire first scene of the movie is literally a guy breaking the fourth wall to tell you, the viewer, directly that this movie is completely pointless and has no plot. You'd be an idiot to keep watching after that. I was.
The only people that seem to like this movie are dumbfuck redditors who think they're edgy for liking a le epic random xD movie that nobody else likes. It's a complete waste of 90 minutes. I'd rather watch Jack and Jill than that shit again.

So you are saying that movie is the equivalent of Yoko Uno incoherently screaming in a mic and claiming its just too 'avant garde' for people to understand? Mighta worked for a while if he was in better social circles I guess.

Re: Dumbest movie you've ever watched
Lol. I love it.
Also, I feel like Thunder Force can be added to this list. I would rip this movie apart on so many levels but I kind of feel like that would be too easy. Probably one of the few films that even critics couldn't be paid enough to pretend to like.
