GstricPngn and His Smurfs
So I know there is a thread with this guy going on but there is a bigger problem. The guy has basically setup a bot that automattically has all his smurf accounts join the lobby of the game. When the game launches at least 5 smurf accounts are kicked and then leave trains start. This is rendering the game completely unplayable and I had people saying this was going on since 8am this morning.
Unless Blizzard bans him (which I report him every time) I don't think mafia will ever continue. Is there anything else to do?
I've attached a replay so everyone can see.
Re: GstricPngn and His Smurfs
Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to control Blizzard's lobbies given that code is theirs and not ours. We would suggest going to the Mafia chat room in SC2 and trying to form private games / kicking him and his smurfs if they join your lobby and reporting the players to Blizzard. Eventually, he will lose interest.
Re: GstricPngn and His Smurfs
WOW. this is really frustrating because hes been doing this all day, i could barely find any playable games without gastricpenguin in them. its a shame that he is trying to ruin such a great game. its unbelivable how much time i wasted today joining games then everyone leaving shortly after due to gastric penguins smurfs being banned, causing everyone else to leave in unison. it really makes me want to rip my hair out. : /

You can always make a private lobby and send the /lobbylink frequently
Re: GstricPngn and His Smurfs
or they could just turn off whatever keeps kicking new players (which I'm pretty sure they aren't supposed to do anyway) so that bots don't get autokicked, stay in whatever game they join and the rest up us can play

The alternative to the nuclear option is the player operating those handful of bots instead brings them into a game and repeatedly proceeds to gamethrow with them until the accounts are banned. Then, the player just makes new accounts and does the same thing. This was happening very frequently before the nuclear option was reenabled.
Re: GstricPngn and His Smurfs
doesn't that take more time and effort though? I mean, don't the bots just join? doing anything more would require actual people
isn't it better to have the games actually start and have the rest of us real people not getting caught in the middle?

Given staff members have seen GstricPngn inviting you to games on different occasions, we have some reason to question your objectivity in this matter. If you wish to discuss this further, please create a post in Answer Hall.
Re: GstricPngn and His Smurfs
Yep it's still happening. Can't play a single game. I did however have one host that set up a bot that automatically kicked gstrics smurfs/bots from lobby instantly. It almost worked, but a couple of his smurfs were able to join at the last second, filled the lobby to 15, and the game just auto started. Still need to figure out another way to remove the cancer that is killing this game.
