Yeah, no.
It should be obvious why this is a flat no, but if you want me to reopen this thread, pm me with your reasons as to why it should be reopened.
Not sure why this was given a 100% no, exactly. There are many versions of FM Jester that just end the game when they are lynched. I suppose that isnt the one we use, but it isnt exactly an option yet either.
Super Jester that kills everyone that guiltys in sc2mafia?
Wonder why its badman.
So look, this OP idea is not gonna even be considered. However you can suggest your own ideas for how to improve jester, reasonable ideas please, in this thread. Ja Ne :)
Shouldn't the point of SC2 Mafia be to emulate as best it can Forum Mafia in that the host has absolute freedom in creating a setup for the game? So more options = better, regardless of how OP they may make a certain role in the current meta of 3 maf, 3 neut, 9 town? It's the host's job to make a balanced save, not the map's job to make it impossible/hard to make an imbalanced save.
I'd love to see more options in game that would allow people to create more interesting set ups like we see in forum games instead of the same old 3v3v9 every single game.
No.. the point of SC2Mafia is to provide a balanced set of roles so it's relatively easy to create balanced setups with 15 players. If we were trying to give them "total freedom" we'd just implement any random shit role. Not to mention the actual coding each new role takes.
This is a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE idea for sc2mafia. In an FM it's one thing because at absolute maximum only about 50%+1 of the living players could potentially have voted for a lynch (barring special mechanics) while in sc2maf it is not uncommon for the entire living town to vote someone.
I'm for an option that allows the Jester to disguise himself as a guilty voter and re-jest, but it's way too easy for Jester to get people to lynch him for an all-kill.
If this was true, then we'd get "Your setup is shit" more than a hundred times.
A different option is to have Setup Majority determine the guilty votes. 15 players = 3X guilty dies, 7 = 2X, 6 and less = 1X.
No thats rather needless RLVG. More death is not really the best answer imo.
it would be better than a serial jester who comes back and causes more chaos.
this way if more players vote guilty = better chance of killing off a mafia member.
but overall I don't see this happening. just no new win goal objective, or purpose. because jester is fine right where it is.
god idea
What about extending Jester to 2 deaths per guilty?
What about making jester shoot lasers from his mouth?
The problem with this is that, even if the jester is supposed to be benign, it acts as an anti-town role in pubs (town always sucks, etc). Giving the jester more power would make pubs shittier than they already are.
Jester favors mafia since lynching is the town's strength, town needs to figure out everyone's roles and he lies, and mafia will know better than to guilty someone who acts like a mafia member.
I think this is one of the best points in this thread. Benigns already have a tendency to lean evil (Survivor tends to side with mafia, Executioner target is town by default). Jester is one of the only benign roles that can help the town in a way that's not just an extra vote. Like Sen says, statistically more dead guilty voters means more dead townies.
The only other role that can help town is an amne who remembers town, and people usually consider evil rules more interesting than town roles, so amne tends to remember those roles instead.
Amnesiacs who remember town roles are good people.
Amnesiacs who remember non-killing town roles are good, smart people.
Amnesiacs who remember doctors are saints.
