Bartender (inspired by padthay, copy right padthay)
I actually just made the role completely different, do not blame me.
But it is not a joke, I never post jokes except circle jerk.---wait, I have posted there?
anyway... BELOW:
Role name: Bartender
Description: You run a bar which is the only entertainment place in the whole town. Everyone go there everyday.
Alignment: Town basic
Abilities:
1) Hearsay: #(host option) random piece of previous night information from all living investigator role.
2) "Drunk Barbeque night" coupon advertisement : reveal all roles who doesn't take action tonight. ---they will drink till next morning.
Win Condition: Win with town.
Host Options:
1)Bartender can derive exactly information.(*explanation is below)
2)can know about being jailed. (*explanation below)
3)2 pieces of information per night.
4)can not be converted by cultist, because cultist has strict policy of prohibition alcohol. (this explain why mafia wont join cultist.)
Pros:
Helpful indeed.
Fun play because of over using brain.
Can be strong in proper player's hand.
Pro skills.
Cons:
Hard to make a defense.
Not on time.
Not accurate.
Not independent.
Strategy:
1) if all investigative roles died, bartender is useless, but he can prove all investigative died. aka he get no information at night.
2) he will be able to know if any agent/det/lookout/inv/sheriff in the town, Approximately.
3) roles have no actions are not killer, usually 20% - 30% roles have no action, again, approximately.
Examples:
Scenario
There is a detective, a investigator, a sheriff and a consigliere(can see exact role)
Night 1: bartender see: NOTHING (investigative roles have no information on hand yet)
Night 2: Bartender see: XXX wears a suit and has a number of stealth, survaillence, and tracking devices; you conclude that they are either a Detective, a Spy, or an Agent.
Night 3: bartender see: XXX went to XXX
Night 4: bartender see: XXX is a spy (depend on host option, this information is from consig, if consig see exact role, bartender sees too.)
Night 5: bartender see: XXX went to XXX(This information was mislead ed by busdriver, bartender will get wrong information if the investigative role was mislead ed.)
Night 6: bartender see: XXX is not suspect
Night 7: bartender see: nothing nothing (aka, all investigative roles are dead, converted, promoted or roleblocked etc)
Night 8: issue coupon, bartender find the mafia because rest of roles have no action that night.
Overall effect on the metagame if implemented:
It is not as powerful as a real investigator, but it grow stronger every night.
Additional comments:
The town need be more livable, so it need a entertainment place not just a clinic, a sheriff hut and houses for everyone.
good substitution of spy.
example: Bruno in one piece.

Will not be fun to play as in SC2 Mafia, player base as is.

yea, bartender sounds too advanced~~ Since many players already have trouble to play roles such as lookout already.
