Welcome... to the Mothership!
As part of the recon element for your galactic fleet, you have been assigned to watch over Earth closely. Your mission is to prepare the way for invasion; you need to fulfil certain objectives while maintaining the element of surprise.
This is a huge responsibility and eradicating Earth's leaders is a major political boost for your current Overlord. As such there may be a threat aboard your spacecraft wishing to sabotage the whole project on behalf of the Overlord's main rival.
You have three targets: the Red Godfather, Orange Godfather and Mayor.
Every day you may vote to 'lynch' one of the Earth players. If a target is successfully lynched, the crew of your Mothership will calibrate a high-energy laser beam and point it at your target. Your target will NOT be affected if he is not one of the objective roles. If your target is one of the three objective roles, they will be incinerated - once an objective target is incinerated you will be beamed down to Earth. If you target the Mayor you will behave as normal citizens but your votes will each count as two votes. If you target either of the Godfathers, one of you will become a Cult Leader and the other aliens/mafia members of the same alignment will be part of your initial cult.
Unfortunately one of the aliens on-board your spacecraft is an Alien Saboteur. He will win if none of the objective targets are incinerated. Instead of choosing to 'lynch' an Earth player, you may actually lynch one of your fellow Aliens. If the Alien Saboteur is successfully lynched then every Alien has their own high-energy laser beam and incineration targets do not need to be voted on - everyone can aim their laser at a single target at night.
Summary:
You all have a very interesting game ahead of you. Not only must you analyse the game below on the surface of Earth, but you must always be wary of the Alien Saboteur. It might be quite difficult to get a consensus on a lynch with him around. On the other hand, trying to incinerate someone really early on will be your top priority - if you can knock out either Godfather early on then you are in a great position to win this game.
All of your names aren't on the player list because technically you don't exist - I didn't want to confuse the Earth players. When you are transported down into the game a plausible excuse is in place; it fits the theme and you will be added into the role list as Hidden Any.
This is a real test of your mafia skills, but you're also in a position of authority over the whole game. Everyone else is worrying about dying, getting lynched, scum tells... you just have to keep an eye on each other! The Alien Saboteur may still win the game if you are successful in incinerating someone, he just has to survive until the end unlike the rest of you. Question is... Will the Saboteur try to stop you up here or will he help you find a target and try to survive down there? Will you spend your time looking for him, or ignore him to zap more people?
Usual game rules apply: No COM name claiming, No asking for COM names, NO outside game discussion - if anyone on Earth discovers the existence of this Mothership then finding the culprit will be easy.
