Welcome... to Vault 37.
It has been your refuge for many years, and quite frankly it has seen better days. On the day the bombs fell, you entered the vault and prayed that you would escape the fire falling from the sky. The vault protected all of you and for that, you were thankful. It was not the most comfortable place to live but it was homely and adequate, and well-stocked.
Until, a few days later, things began to go wrong. Little things, mishaps which weren't that severe. A leaky tap, a door which would get stuck, a blown light-bulb. Nothing to worry about.
That was nine years ago. The year is 2021, and life in the vault has become a stress-filled endeavour. Every week or so every single life support system would malfunction, regularly. Nothing worked properly in the vault. There was always a way to fix it, somehow, but the equipment has degraded throughout the whole vault. No one can get any proper sleep, and every night those on the watch roster must patrol the vault corridors looking for any signs of mechanical failure.
The vault door is opening in three days, and most of you were relieved to hear of the New California Republic. Vault 37 has taken its toll on the survivors and you welcome the idea of leaving the vault to pursue a life on the surface under the protection of the NCR.
Rumours of traitorous spies in your midst leave you confused though. Will you take up arms against those who have suffered as you have suffered, even if they will betray you?

The NCR, Enclave, and Brotherhood of Steel are currently en route to the Vault-Tec installation.
Vault 37 will open in three days, on the third night.
Vault 37 will consist of three day cycles with two night cycles.
Due to the various mechanical problems that the vault faces on a nightly basis, a Technician must be appointed each day.
The Technician will be appointed by all of the players via a secret ballot - one vote per person, highest number of votes by the end of the day wins (in the event of a tie it will be randomized).
The Technician will roam around the corridors of Vault 37 all night, fixing things. This will take up all of their time, so the Technician will be role-blocked. Since the Technician is a highly valuable member of the vault and shouldn't be disturbed, no one will dare attack him, giving the Technician night-kill immunity for the night. The Technician will be informed of his responsibilities as soon as the night begins.
A new Technician must be voted for each day, and they will replace the old Technician. A player may be voted as the Technician multiple days in a row.
A player may also be lynched in the traditional way during the day - the secret ballot runs consecutively to the lynch.
