At long last, the townsfolk were able to relax with warm mugs of tea, enjoying the scenery of the sunset, and appreciating the beauty of Styx's swinging corpse, gently blown about by the sea winds. A toast was called; everyone raised their glasses high and voiced their own variations on "nah, nah, nah, nah, hey, hey, hey, goodbye!"
The unknown Corleone Godfather sat at a table, his poker face on as usual. His company turned their heads to address the toast; the Godfather's mouth drew into a subtle grin, the corners of his mouth belying his true inner joy.
The male heir of Massino has been lynched. Once, he was the infamous Framer of Delia, planting perfect evidence to fool the authorities. Now, he is an empty husk, the object of joy, spectacle, and disdain. The town knows all too well that he is survived by his younger sister, who will be sure to exact her vengeance on the town.
The Corleone family has their sights set on ultimate victory, as well. Massino is on the run and reeling back from a terrible loss, so the iron will strike while it is hot.
The events of this fifth fateful night will determine the destiny of Delia.
