This town could use a couple.... classic criminals.

Cthulhu can be used for a cult game. Cthulhu powers out to about 1.5 cult (for those times where you can't decide on 1 or 2 cult)

Cthulhu (Adv./Neut)
You are a monster from the depths of the sea
Goal: Win with cult
-If he is the only cult, action is to recruit (if recruit is possible)
otherwise:
-Targets one person at night. That person and anyone who visits them is driven mad
-If you do not target anyone, everyone who visits you is driven mad
-Madness lasts 1 day and the victim may not speak during the day. Instead they will post gibberish.
-A person who has been driven mad 3 times dies
-Doctor can protect from being driven mad
-Members of the cult are still driven mad but cannot die from madness

Excluded from randoms: on
Die from being driven mad: on
Doctor protect from madness: on
Madness forces speaking: on
Doctor resets madness: off

So, basically cthulhu's goal is to devolve the entire town into babbling idiots, sowing confusion, and helping cult. He can kill a couple people, but should not kill game changing numbers. Cthulu's kills are evenly distributed over maf/town and does not affect that balance. Imagine a day 2 where 6 or so people all visited a single maddening target. Madness!

The Joker is another unique role that's great for scumfests or as the villan for a town vs. cult game. Great SK replacement for maf vs. town.

The Joker (Adv./Neut)
A madman that wants to watch the world burn
Goal: Kill all who would oppose you.
-Select one player. It will be publicly demanded that player dies within 2 days.
-If that player is not killed in the allotted time, the joker is allowed to choose two people to night kill instead.
-Kills ignore night immunity
-Can self-target (to demand lynch)
-Why so serious?

The joker is a balanced replacement for the serial killer, with more intrigue and mind fuck. If town does not kill his target, he acts like a weak serial killer (kills 2 people every 3 nights). If they do kill his target, they lose a day lynch every 2 days to his choice (could be good for town). He could alternately weak-control one of the other killing roles to do his dirty work for him every other night (they don't want him to get his night kills). Of course, this redirects killing roles away from him and is why I didn't give him night immunity.

Wouldn't like to see a Cult Buff at all, but the Joker idea is fucking genius, put a vote with Yes/No for joker.

I like The Joker one. I try to do this with my Serial Killer... But, uh... Well no one listens to my -death note Lynch ____ or I shall kill ____ the following night. I'd love to see this come into play, though.

Wouldn't like to see a Cult Buff at all, but the Joker idea is fucking genius, put a vote with Yes/No for joker.

Can't add a poll, unfortunately. A mod could, but I think the real decision is happening in the R&D forum (which we can't see). Everyone seems to like the joker, though! =D

I don't see any threads in R&D about the Joker role. Could have a different name.
