S-FM VIII: Graveyard Investigations

[Fragos]

Welcome to S-FM: Graveyard Investigations!

Here, in this game, the exact roles of dead players are not revealed. Instead, they will show up in graveyard as one of the possible roles:

Godfather/Jester/Citizen/Survivor
Sheriff/Investigator/Consigliere/Executioner
Doctor/Serial Killer/Electro Maniac/Drug Dealer
Escort/Consort/Bodyguard
Detective/Amnesiac/Framer
Lookout/Student/Blackmailer
Mafioso/Vigilante/Ravager
Coroner/Janitor/Witch
Bus Driver/Arsonist/Kidnapper

It is the same as investigation list. So the town has to deduce a person's role even after his death. Coroner can tell the exact role of a player in the graveyard - but even Coroner is not guaranteed to appear in the game. However, Sheriff can also check the background of a dead person to see if he was criminal or not suspicious. Also, Godfather and Neutral Killer will not get a night immunity, like in my previous S-FM.

A special note is related to Sheriff - when he checks a Hidden Neutral Killer, he will get the following message:
"Your target is a wanted murderer!" without pointing out what is exactly his role.

Because I feel like trying something new this game. And I've noticed that I post a lot of smaller posts in FM and I want to work on that by posting few, but long, posts.

Now is the part where I post my general reaction to each person up to the point in the day.

Goremancer - I hate the black on grey writing. Stop it. Seriously. You never know what I'll do when I am annoyed. Troll claimed doc
Mopin - answers questions that only the host should answer (about scum). That's not smart.
Ubernox - Perv. claimed amnesiac
McPwnage - says Kony is the cult leader. Am inclined to agree. Is trolling the day away. Dislikes Electromaniac.
Dust - Claimed vigilante. Is the vigilante. Will be awesome in this game
Rocshi - claimed arsonist. Wants mafia to kill Kira. Is an asshole about it.
Escaho - Does not spam the day 1 thread (thank God)
creedkingsx - Wants Gore to stop with the black on grey caps talking. I understand that. Is a perv with Ubernox.
kiranearitachi - Agrees on Rocshi's plan. Is stupid about it. Is Goremancer.
Grim-Demon - Only words all day "Hi people". For one thing, that's not even proper English. There's a comma in there and it's not before "Hi". It happens to be after "Hi" and before the space right before "people". Another thing is that he clearly does not want others to know much about him or his alignment so he only posts two words. He could have at least posted those two words in two different posts. He is a wild card and I would keep an eye on him. I might even shoot him tonight./troll
Kony - funny black guys are the best. People have differing reactions to him, some wanting to join his army while others (gore) complain about not being able to read him

Other than that Dust looks like he is making himself town leader this game, which is obviously a good thing, unless of course he's mafia. While I don't suspect him too much at the moment, it may be a good idea for the sheriff/inves to check him if he has no other targets that seem too suspicious today. One thing I noted was fragos said sheriff's can investigate dead bodies to see if they are mafia. Given there might not be a coroner I would ask the question should the sheriff if he is still alive focus on living bodies or dead ones? I would personally say sheriff should check live bodies because the potential to catch a mafia member trumps the ability to know if someone who is dead is mafia or not.

At the very least, we know there is either a Serial Killer or Ravager on the loose. I believe that Nick was likely Executioner since he claimed Amnesiac (trying to stay on the good side of both the Town and the Mafia), though we don't know for certain. Funny how kira was killed after Rocshi asked the killers to kill him. =\ It really sucks that we can't differentiate between who killed who.

Worst case scenario is that there are only 6 town left, but I'm inclined to believe that we lost a Sheriff/Invest and an Executioner last night. If we were lucky enough to get a Consig/Exec combo, that would be great, but I'm not that hopeful.

With any luck, we've got a Ravager in play (and we know how Fragos likes those "alternative" roles), so there will only be one possible death tomorrow.

Well at this point we kind of suspect Escaho. For one thing he is a very good player. But all he is doing is saying the best/worst case scenario. It feels strange that he is not scum hunting like what he usually does. We cannot determine if he is scum at this point. But we get a feeling he is a non-town. As for Rihfok, he has been scummy in all the games we had with him fair to say. We would not be surprised if he flips town, but if he flips scum it wouldn't surprise us either. Ubernox... We know he is a troll but he is really pushing it this game. He has offered no solid suggestion or show any sign of attempting to scum hunt. He is trying to start a train with Kony on Rihfok. We suspect him. As for Mopin, well he is doing what we have observed him to do in all games. Which is to lie low and try not to draw too much attention. We cannot read him. And then there is our mighty leader, Kony. Call us suckers but we find him town. No mafia would take that much of a risk. His actions gives us a sense of a townie putting pressure on someone to press a role out of him.

Now for my analysis:

-I rarely draw conclusions from Day 1 posts. It is a trollfest. But the one thing I've noticed in previous FMs is that when someone usually proclaims a neutral role (and only a neutral role) on Day 1, that generally means they are attempting to dodge a bullet from both the mafia AND the town (as opposed to being murdered/investigated). This leads me to believe that Nick was likely Executioner.
-I believe kira was Sheriff/Investigator. This is mostly because of the last will, which would easily implicate Kony if they were, in fact, mafia buddies. There would be no reason for him to do this if they were allied, as it would expose one of their fellow mafia. Therefore, I currently assume Kira to be Town.

This leaves us with a 6v3v1v1 scenario. If correct, a mislynch today could end with the town losing if two town members die tonight. Therefore, we need to avoid that possibility.

Dust, Rocshi, Grim-Demon, and Goremancer have yet to check-in. Hopefully someone had a useful night action last night.

As for particular players:


Rihfok: Rather scummy indeed. Is he new or a smurf? Appears to be new. Was the first to suggest we wait for Dust to come online, followed by Mopin. Remember, while Dust is a good analyzer, he [I]did/I] "claim" Vigilante, so I'm not sure what information he would have. However, he also was the first to provide information about the possible Neutral Killer and the various scenarios. A mafia ploy or a town observation?

Given last night's events we likely have a Ravager unless Mopin is the serial killer and was making a ploy to try and prove vigi. That probably isn't the case but you can never be too careful.

Given the fact there was only one kill and it was probably the mafia's we can probably cross godfather off the list of possible roles for Goremancer and any of those roles are good to lose over town power. Way to take a bullet for the team gore!

If mopin is vigilante who is telling the truth than that doesn't look good for Kony. Mafia would want Kony dead unless Kony is a part of the mafia in which case they would need to do something to keep Kony alive. If the mafia has a consort then he would probably try and block mopin to save kony and extend the life of the mafia member. Kony struggled with a roleclaim day 1 even with the investigation pairings so he is a prime suspect to be mafia.

Second suspect is Ubernox who has contributed absolutely nothing except one sentence troll posts all game and his only major action was bandwagoning with Kony suggesting them both being in the mafia together. I think if Kony is found to be mafia (which unfortunatly we won't know even after he is lynched) Ubernox is likely mafia as well.

I'm very confused on Kony's game here. He came awfully damn close to being lynched and still did not claim anything. He voted Rihfok without evidence and has just generally trolled the game. I mean, if he was Jester he played nearly perfectly and that's the only logical reason I can come up with, unless he's a non-town role because why would he bother claiming if he was just going to be lynched anyway? I just don't see a proactive Town strategy as a result from his actions.

I was waiting for Mopin to prove he was Vigilante, but he conveniently could not. A consort block or an escort block? Judging by Rocshi's post, he may have blocked Mopin (hey, if I can see it, the mafia can too). Mopin very well could be Vigilante though, which would mean we have a Ravager on our hands. The overlooked possibility that I have not seen so far, however, is that Mopin is Godfather/Mafioso who was role-blocked last night. The Goremancer kill could easily be the Serial Killer's kill and the mafia kill was blocked by an Escort. Remember, we cannot tell kills apart (and through investigation results, we cannot tell Vigilante/Ravager/Mafioso apart.

Now, I know where I fit on this list and it could cause some problems, but there are ways it can work.

Time for some thoughts:

-Was Mopin the Ravager? As I commented before, Vigilante has the same investigation result and Mopin could have accounted for that. He said he was going to shoot Kony and was role-blocked. Was he role-blocked a second time? Kony is still alive. How is that possible? Did Mopin not shoot? Or was he the Ravager and killed creedking instead? In this way, the mafia could have killed Mopin instead, since Vigilante is a pretty powerful role.
-If the Ravager killed Mopin (and Mopin is Vigilante), then there are some problems with the role list. Also, the Ravager would have another kill shot tonight and, if creedking was our Doctor, we have no healer (but possibly an Escort). This means today could be LYLO, especially if the neutral benign is a Student for the Mafia/Ravager or a Survivor.
-Kony, were you healed last night? Of course, if you aren't Town, I wouldn't expect you to answer (or, at the very least, you would have mentioned as much in your first post...).
-We may need to start applying pressure if no one has found anything conclusive.
-Between Rihfok, Ubernox, and Kony, I expect one mafia to be there. Too much trollage.
-Dust has said very little lately other than proclaiming himself a power role. A power role that's provided little in terms of anything. He's very good at dodging the vote and that's concerning.
-Of course, if Grim is lying, this list is nearly worthless. If he is mafia, I would be more under the assumption that someone else told him to lie, especially if they are getting close to losing.

But if he is lying, we have 3 mafia, 3-5 town, 0-2 neutrals.
Since we can't pressure anything at all from Kony, I guess we might as well try to pressure someone else.
