Hello again, guys! The sign-ups for my new S-FM are finally open! It is another standard Mafia setup with 13 players.

Hidden Mafia roles:
Mafioso, Consigliere, Consort, Janitor, Blackmailer, Framer, Drug Dealer, Kidnapper
Hidden Town roles:
Investigator, Bodyguard, Detective, Lookout, Escort, Bus Driver, Vigilante, Coroner
Hidden Neutral Killer:
Serial Killer, Arsonist, Electro Maniac, Ravager
Hidden Neutral Benigh:
Jester, Executioner, Survivor, Amnesiac, Witch, Student

Here is the main trick in the game: When a player dies or is lynched, his exact role is not revealed. Instead, the graveyard will show him as one of the following lists:

Godfather/Jester/Citizen/Survivor
Sheriff/Investigator/Consigliere/Executioner
Doctor/Serial Killer/Electro Maniac/Drug Dealer
Escort/Consort/Bodyguard
Detective/Amnesiac/Framer
Lookout/Student/Blackmailer
Mafioso/Vigilante/Ravager
Coroner/Janitor/Witch
Bus Driver/Arsonist/Kidnapper

It is the same as investigation list. So the town has to deduce a person's role even after his death. Coroner can tell the exact role of a player in the graveyard - but even Coroner is not guaranteed to appear in the game. However, Sheriff can also check the background of a dead person to see if he was criminal or not suspicious. Also, Godfather and Neutral Killer will not get a night immunity, like in my previous S-FM. There are few new roles that are possible in this setup:

Kidnapper, a mafia variant of the Bus Driver;
Electro Maniac, a neutral killer that you should be already familiar with;
Drug Dealer, which might also appear here;
Student, one of the possible benigh neutrals;
And finally Ravager, a new neutral killing role that also caught my attention. See Mini-FM Parking for details.

I think Elixir said it would be ok to overrun on the S-FMs for a couple of days while they finish up.

Regular M/SFM players = 15
Occasional M/SFM players = 10
FM players not playing M/SFM = 15
New FM players = 10
Total pool = 50

FMXI = 37
Only SFM = 13 will be possible. Even then, highly unlikely.

During the day, everything that happens is wrote in the game's thread, during night, you PM the host of what you do, he later PMs you back the results, right? Also, how do the night chats work?

I went into a little more depth on the night chat in a different thread. Basically, instead of creating hidden chats on this forum (which requires hosts to be given too much control over these boards), we use an external chatboard/forum specifically for the purpose. It's kept a secret, only takes a few minutes to set up, and gives the Host complete control.

If you check the the wrapping up posts of, for example, Borkbot's M-FMVI or Zack's Torment S-FM, you'll see the links to their night/dead chats, using two of the services we use (quicktopic and forummotion).

If you ever need any help, most people on this forum are nice and cuddly and will help you :)

forumcow.com is great for nightchats. Took me maybe 20 minutes to set up Maf, Jailor, and dead chat.

Looks like all spots are filled. I think we can start the S-FM now. I only need to send the PMs for every participant to ensure they they are ready. You can still sign up, most of the other players are in reserve, but I'm sure that they are itching to play now.

Yes, I signed up for FMXI already, but that should not stop me from hosting a S-FM. I'll use the fixed time for day/night, so I can check the game progress in that fixed time.

I checked the rules and roles again, and a couple specific questions came in this setup:
The student just picks someone as mentor, without knowing anything?
Does the citizen get the 1 night bullet-proof vest?
Since the exact roles of the dead aren't known, does the amnesiac get to become any of the possible roles when someone dies, or he needs to guess/know and choose the exact role of the dead? Also, can he become mafia?
I'm assuming last wills are in? I mean, I can PM you -lw message at any time, right? And what about death notes?

I'll try to answer your question.

The student pick a person as his mentor. One he does, he learn his mentor's exact role and alignment.
No, the citizen do not get bulletbroof vests. No, they do not win ties with Mafia. Noone is immune to night kills.
The Amnesiac just pick a dead person, and then becomes the same role as that dead player. Town only learns that he picked the role of a certain dead person, but they do not know which one exactly. And yes, he can become mafia that way.
Last wills are enabled, death note are enabled as well for every killing role (including town ones). What town will not see is death descriptions.

8 out of 13 players are ready to play as of now. Azeryuu and jaczac did not respond. Ubernox, Kromos and CmG decided to stay in reserve.

Looks like we have to wait for some more time. But before that, I would like to talk with Elixir beforehand. I hope you do understand the current situation.
