It's just a matter of time before DR puts in the Tracker and Watcher who are town roles that...
Tracker: Tracks the person he targets and is told who he is targetting.
Watcher: Tracks all players who target the Watchers Target.

Really like the lawyer idea. He would give the gf cover in a no-citisen setup. The lawyer should have a limited amount of vote blocks though, say 1-3.

Lawyer sounds cool. Both because of the functionality and because I'm a lawyer IRL. ;)
But would this totally mess up the game balance? A framer can already screw up a game really badly if it's used in a smart way; a lawyer does the same thing, only opposite. If a mafia happens to get both a framer and a lawyer, then the town is really screwed, no?

Because in a no-cit setup, if someone appears to be a cit... they are OBVIOUSLY innocent?
I'd think it was the opposite; in a no-cit setup, appearing to be a cit would FUCK YOU OVER and get you insta-lynched.
Also, GF detect invulnerability already does this.
I like the vote blocking idea, though. And I disagree with AdmiralCain that it would be OP; 1 vote doesn't make a MASSIVE difference. I think it would be more useful in making innocent people look guilty (e.g. "Hey look - Bill didn't vote guilty on the GF! Lynch him!" after Bill, some town role, has been blocked by Lawyer).

I'm not sure you understand the power of this role. The lawyer could give the GF cover in a no-citizen setup because the Lawyer can cause ANYONE to appear to be a citizen (thus, the GF can claim to be framed; and some innocent people can also be framed into a citizen/GF).
So, when I said it messes up the town, it's not about blocking the 1 vote (although I disagree about 1 vote not mattering--in late game, 1 vote often makes all the difference) but about being able to frame ANYONE into a "citizen." A Lawyer and a Framer combined can easily be GG for town, because they can fuck up both sheriff and investigator, unless a SK kills one of the mafia or the town manages to random-lynch one of them.

Wow; actually, excellent points all around. I'm convinced. xD
