Signups are closed, you may instead "/reserve" to be a potential replacement in case they are needed.
To sign up as a back-up in case anyone needs to sub out, please reply "/reserve".
If more than 13 players "/sign" for the game than all signees shall be randomly chosen to participate, those who "/sign" for the game and are not one of the 13 participants shall be put on top priority for the reserve list. This game is not first come first serve.

Special Mechanics:
Be Quiet: Players may only make between 1-15 posts in the thread per day. Players are encouraged to make more substantial posts, and thus must post at least 200 words per day whilst not exceeding 15 post per day. Players will be mod-killed if they fail either requirement.

Usernames count as one word.
Acronyms (I.E. "WIFOM") count as one word.


Rules:

1. Inactive players will be replaced or modkilled at host discretion. Do not publicly call for either.

2. Refrain from using White Bold text, this is for use of the Host only.

3. Players are not allowed to post screenshots.

4. Do not post links to other websites.

5. Videos and photos larger than an avatar must be in spoiler tags.

6. Do not spam pictures or videos.

7. Excessive insulting is not allowed.

8. Refrain from using languages other than English.

9. Quoting any host to player communication (excluding feedback or anything found in the setup page) will result in an immediate modkill. You may paraphrase.

10. Usage of text that is not visible is not allowed.

11. Communicating with players or through third parties about the game through unapproved channels is strictly forbidden

Is this normal? I find this to be pretty customer unfriendly.
If you sign up first to a game you look forward to you might get denied if 15 people sign up and you get "randomized" out from the game.
And if you sign up because you want to play with an friend or specific people. You might find out they either get thrown out, or someone you didn't want to play with get's thrown in. And it's just random.

We leave it up to the hosts in general, and generally appreciate discussions on such matters so that the community leads itself in agreement. I think the idea here is to have some kind of fairness among people who sign up, but first come first serve could be another kind of fairness.

I don't really see how it's fair to punish the players that signed up early and potentially reward the players that sign up very late, by allowing them to potentially screw the other.
I get it's random, but that really just means the difference is that one system is somewhat rigid and fair for those that sign up early, while the other can screw anyone.
The first is an infinitely better way of handling things than the second.

(Also sorry if i'm being way too argumentative in an sign up thread. Idk if that's allowed or not)

Lag, (post 10), had a very good system iirc in their signups. I think it was side-wide meta once too.
Newbies surely got into their first 2 games, mods aswell.
The rest was first come first serve. Players who had to be put as reserve last game were preferred in the normal sign-ups.

The only thing I would suggest is maybe a 12 hour free post period at the start of the game. I'm concerned that d1 won't have a lot to generate discussion because people will be saving their posts but maybe that is intended.

Lynch is plurality + majority, which means that if 3 players on 11 vote X, 2 players vote Y and 2 players vote Z, X is lynched at EoD (but majority lynch, aka hammer, exists too).

(I am aware this doesn't entirely defeat your point, but at least the clarification is useful lol)

I remember seeing a 1 post max per day game, so you had people giving scumreads and townreads and agreements and disagreements with codes of voting/unvoting.
