As people started to fill the auditorium, they couldn't help but notice the poor turn out. Hundreds were invited but only 50ish showed up. As they took their seats, the lights dimmed. A spot light shined across the room, blinding a man on stage. The floor creaked as he walked to the podium. He was revealed to be Raiden. He then spoke into the mic:
"Welcome to the first Mafia awards ceremony, we are glad you could make it. It appears that a few flights were delayed, unfortunately we'll have to start without those absent.
For the past few months, we have enjoyed many games of sc2mafia and nearly ten games of forum mafia. We are here to award the player that has been most outstanding. The votes are in and we have a winner! And it is my pleasure to share that information with you tonight. But first, lets look back on some of the highlights of the Forum Mafia games.
FMI: The conquest of the cult
FMII: The deceiving consig and the invisible GF
FMIII: Invisible ink, The Oracles prophecy and a Mayors detectives skills
FMIV: Corruption and gamethrowing
FMV: The Cults failed alliance
FMVI: ... lets forget about this game
FMVII: The mafia who can't do anything right
FMVIII: The Lovers Betrayal
FMIX: Confirmed town you say?
So, tonights first award goes to: .... "
As Raiden opened the envelope, a sheer terror washed over his face.
"It's not ... it's not possible. Why is there a death note in here?"
At that Raiden burst into flames and died. FM Game Master took to the stage, and read the death note aloud.
"It says: To all you miserable thieves, Mafia has come this close to winning a FM. In FMIII, it was stolen from us by the SK! In FMV, the cult ruined our plans. And most recently FMIX, where some crazy group of rebels stole our win once again. We will not be stopped until we get a win. You'll be please to know that the other flights will not be joining us tonight. If you watch the 6 o'clock news, I'm sure you'll learn that they blow out of the sky.

"There is only one thing to do here now." continued the FM Game Master
"We must eliminate this threat once and for all. Get a good nights rest, for tomorrow, we will start the interrogations."
Roles will be sent out shortly followed by night chats opening.
