People gathered from all over the world for tonight's awards ceremony. After 9 Forum Mafia games and many months of sc2 mafia, it was time to find out who deserved the title of MVP. Many people were invited, more than two hundred had reservations at the hotel across the street from the theater. Little did they know that a certain group had other plans for them.


Welcome to FM-X, Day 0 will be used to check in your bags at the hotel. Ask any questions you have about the setup. I'll do my best to answer. Your accounts will be sent out shortly, followed by your roles later on. No action may be taken on Day 0.

For RP purposes, I'll be referring to your account name without the fm in front of it. If I mean the real name controlling that account, I'll specify.

example:
I say "Yayap did something", it means fm Yayap did something. If I wanted to specify me, I'll say "(real) Yayap".

If there is any problems with your account (other than who you are), PM FM Game Master and I'll try to fix it.

No, the item he will receive is up to me, I'll be giving the item he can use if the person has more than one item.

Depends on the item. Most items would result in loosing an ability, docs would loose a medkit, but I figure that doctors would have many more. Bus drivers keys on the other hand....

Depends on the immunity, GF and jailed people are fully immune (except from arson). The rest have 2 shot armor or 1 shot armor. Depending on the type of armor will determine the amount of firepower to break it.

Not all items are PR action related. Some are RP related. so no, he doesn't need all that.

Depends on the item. One shot items will remain one shot. Some items are considered bulk items, like gasoline, medkits, lockpicks, in which case, the thief only steals 1. (the owner of the item would retain their ability and have spare items)

I wish I could have answered this before the game started, but I cannot foresee all possible strategies with this role, so I will discuss the blackmailers plan with him as we progress in the game. Some plans may be rejected.

Depending on the task required, most task should be notifiable. Since I can't foresee all possible tasks, I'll keep this option open to me.

A joint victory must be agreed with both parties involved. Any one of them may refuse the joint victory. However, once a pact has been made and confirmed, it cannot be undone. And remember, only 1 of the 3 types may join. In other words, SK cannot win with spree killer or arsonists.

All roles that are not informed are roles that have it's effects stack with the previous lvl automatically. So unless they find out during the day from chatter, they wouldn't know they lvled up.

Student would get traitor.
If student helps in GF downfall, original traitor will be promoted. Student would then start studying how to be a GF if the new GF dies.

A section of the night order reads thus:


15- lvl 2 SK Kills
16- all other kills / Arson Dousing
17- Heals / Autopsies
18- Cleaning / Disguising
19- Blackmailer / Jester / Blackmailed visitations
20- Drugs take effect

From this I question two things,
1) Disguising occurs after normal heals, would it therefore bypass any healing?
2) If one of the drugs heals its target, would it therefore be the only real way to heal a disguised individual and then prevent the disguise attempt?

The kill part of the disguise is wrapped up in kills category. If you look at the order of operations like program code you'll see that it's there to prevent a disguiser/Janitor from getting a last will of someone if he's healed.

This game looks like a mumbo-jumbo Confucius orgy of sexual anarchists. I just read everything and gave my thoughts on most of the roles. After a while, I just got really fucking angry and gave up repeating the same points over and over again. The setup is broken and needs to be fixed. NOW.


1- Day and Night Length
Every day and night will be 46-48 hours long.
This is stupid why is night suddenly longer than other FMs?


The person who gets majority first will be lynched. In the event no majority is reached, depending on the vote rules, it may be possible that whoever has the most votes will be lynched.
So now, splitting votes amongst mafia members isn't a viable mafia strategy anymore. Thanks for making it harder for mafia to come up with ways to avoid getting lynched.


Hints and clues may or may not be in the RPs... and I will not be confirming nor denying anything.
This makes sense because mafia deserve to be outed in the rps they have no control over. Right, this is totally fair.


You will be given a chance to ask questions using your new FM account about anything that hasn't been answered before the game starts.
So now people have to reveal their "intelligence level" just to get a few questions answered about the game. Asking questions should not affect the game if it doesn't have to. People who ask smart questions will probably be killed early because they appear smart. This sounds perfectly fair, doesn't it?


Names may or may not be shared publicly for who is replaced by who. I'm still thinking about this.

This is beyond retarded. As the game progresses it becomes harder and harder to stay hidden. Why would you ever want to speed up the process of everyone finding out everyone else's roles? It makes the game boring.

Why? You give a mafia member the ability to choose from two night actions and you essentially have 2 mafia members minus the second action. Also, if you level up using one action, you will never want to use the other action again. You have created an inherent bias for whichever action they choose to perform on the first day. This whole concept of choosing your night action seems convoluted and unnecessary. Same goes for all the other roles with multiple night action choices.


[Dark Thief]
You may steal a random item from someone. (yes, you can steal a smiths item before he gives it to someone)

Make a list of all the roles that a thief can steal from. This ambiguity will leave holes in the game. Everyone should know the full capabilities of this role.



[BlackMailer] THE WHOLE THING
This has got to be the hardest role to enforce in the history of forum mafia, aside from the lovers of FM8. It is also quite clearly the most broken and host-reliant.

Tasks? This is so open-ended, it's ridiculous. I could assign the task of forcing someone to claim mafia and announce that they are giving up on the game. Not to mention the blackmailer has to run a task by you everytime he wants to submit his night action. What makes you qualified enough to determine if a task is OP or not. There will always be unintended consequences that are unforeseen.

Then you have the problem of getting the victim to actually fulfill his task. No matter what, the victim will try to hint that he is blackmailed constantly. Remember Mr. Hat's poem about Ned?
