If you wish to sign up for FM-X. Please be sure that you will be participating no matter what role you get. Due to the 50 player limit, many new players will not be left on the reserve list. If you plan to be playing multiple FMs at the same time (m-FMs), be sure that you don't leave this one on the back burner, I will not tolerate AFKness.

1 account per IP address.

Anyone that was modkilled or went afk in previous games will be sent to the bottom of the list and into reserve if there are too many players.

I put Nano physically at the bottom of the list because he said something to that effect. He wouldn't be the first to go to reserve.
I have yet to do background checks on some of the new guys, before it starts.

As for the start time, I figure day 0 will be up before tomorrow night. So Zack, if you would please delay s-fm we can have a more focused group on both of ours when you do start it.

Reserves could sign up when day 0 (the Q&A day) has already been posted though. It's not like there need to be any replacements before day 1.

Any additional players over 50 are a luxury. It's the biggest FM in SC2Mafia history.

Yayap's way of handling replacements also allows dead people to get back into the game in place of AFKers.

Call me cynical, but this is how I think FMX will go.

Day 0: People ask questions, but aren't active because they haven't received their roles yet. Some are afraid of how they may need to act once they get their roles, so they will stay quiet. Not all questions and concerns will be raised in time and Day 0 will essentially serve as a relatively useless Q&A session.

Day 1: Trollfestation. Endless pointless videos will be posted. Spam, spam, and more spam. Because of the modkill requirement to post, it will become the longest thread on the forums, potentially reaching 60-70 pages of useless crap.

Day 2: A LOT of useless posts with a few people actually trying to play the game. Forum veterans will complain elsewhere about the setup and how some people aren't being modkilled. Long arguments with the host will occur from countless fronts(Skype, PMs, etc). Yayap will realize that 50 people in one game is a shitload of work and Day Threads will slowly start to get delayed. The small voices of reason that actually speak today will be muffled by the voices of trolls who simply seek not to get modkilled and end up posting retarded crap in excess. This thread will become the longest in FM history.

Day 3: Some guy is going to come out with a roleclaim and accuse some other guy of being a shithead. Lots of baseless arguments will be used to eventually try to get someone lynched. People will start getting modkilled en masse and with a lack of initial replacements, Yayap will be scrambling to fix his broken game. More people will complain about various holes in their roles and the mechanics.

Day 4: Half the town roleclaims. The game goes to shit. More people get replaced by dead chat people who know too much about other aspects of the game. More arguing with the host. Lots of rage in dead chat for not being chosen to be the one who replaces. Everyone is pissed.

Day 5-second to last Day: People die. More people roleclaim needlessly with no provovation. More people get angry because they aren't winning. Yayap grows increasingly sadder.

Last Day: Everyone is pissed. The team that didn't deserve to win the most ends up winning. Dead chat has a fuckton of rage and hateful rhetoric.

Hopefully I'm not Jesus and this shit isn't going to happen. Unfortunately, only you 49 fuckers+me can ensure it doesn't happen. Ask questions and don't fucking roleclaim unless you need to. DO NOT SPAM FOR NO FUCKING REASON. Make every post count. Every post should have a purpose and a reason and a logical thought process behind it.

Some suggestions:

Make them post in Day0 using COM account instead? If they post using FM account, it is possible to weed out the intelligent ones from Day0 itself. If they are not in your team by Night1, kill them!

Obviously this tactic can be countered by protective roles. But still it voids the strategy of acting stupid until you manage to catch a scum. I fear that nobody will want to ask critical questions to avoid becoming a target, thus wasting Day0.

More suggestions:

Spam posts without any strategic reasons can always be penalized? I see that a lot of people here value their e-peens. So spam at your own risk.

You'll find that there's a whole lot more to discover in day chat than you'll ever find out with your own night actions.

Claims and finds from other players, voting patterns, buddying between players, animosity between players, players trying to assume a leading position in day chat, etc. For all those things, you have to ask yourself; why would they do that? And is their own reasoning sound?

You can confront some people immediately if you want to spark discussion, but sometimes it's best to wait until a more opportune moment. Just don't stay completely silent and lurk, because that makes the game boring for everyone.

Yeah I already read the FAQ, games rules and mechanics, and role card descriptions, I just wasn't clear on what would exactly cause you to modkill someone. Do you essentially just use it for inactive players or people who are not following the rules?

You check the forums regularly and post in the sign up thread when it goes up. The signups usually go up for about 3-5 days before a game starts.

If you don't check the forums often enough then you probably won't be checking the forums often enough after the game starts and will get modkilled for being afk.
