Previously on Arrested Development:
Lucille Bluth found herself facing similar charges to the ones placed against George Sr several years ago. When the SEC came for her, her son Michael and grandson George Michael took the opportunity to flee the Queen Mary and, in what had become an almost yearly ritual since the beginning of the family’s legal troubles, attempted to start a new life.

The rest of the family was leaderless over the course of the next few months, and as chaos reigned down on the Bluth family, Michael began to feel guilty. After discussing their future with his son, he decided to return to the O.C (ed. note: don’t call it that) and reconnect with the family he had abandoned and help them out of the mess they had created for themselves.

It would’ve been a touching family reunion, if Lucille didn’t have a plan of her own. She knew that her family could be dangerous in the wrong hands and, if necessary, wasn’t above doing whatever it took to silence them.

Lupe was the first victim of her actions. She knew all of the Bluth estate’s secrets and Lucille decided that the risk was too great should the prosecution get a hold of her. After being deported, a new maid was almost immediately hired, one that luckily spoke no English. Mozza didn’t want any trouble, she was just trying to make ends meet until she could afford to pay for her family to cross the border and live with her in America. She just wanted her kids back.

Day 1
Michael and his son arrived at his Mother’s apartment early the next morning, only to find the entire family already there and waiting. He was shocked, they hadn’t been this well coordinated since their last intervention-turned-party, and they had even set up the old cornballer machine.

GOB was the first to speak.

GOB “Oh, look who finally shows up: everyone’s favorite robot.”

Michael “It’s good to see you too, GOB. I need everyone to listen up though, these are some serious charges placed against Mom. If we’re going to get through this we have to be a team. Alright?”

GOB “A team? Well, I don’t know what you expect guy, but I’m not Kitty again. Come on!”

Michael was confused. In fact, they all were.

Michael “GOB, are you saying you’ve seen Kitty? You know how unstable she can be.”

GOB “She seemed pretty stable last night, when I her!”

GOB held up his hand, awaiting the high five that would never come.

GOB “... Come on?”

Michael “GOB, you know we need to be careful about what we say to outsiders, who knows what Kitty’s agenda is if she’s back in town.”

Buster “Well, I for one am definitely not [bleeping] Kitty. Only Mother. I mean I only talk to Mother. Haha, did someone give me juice? I need to go lie down.”

Buster was nervous. He had begun seeing Lucille #2 in secret again, and was worried about the reaction he’d get from the family if they found out. No one noticed him leave when Michael sat everyone down.

Michael “Okay, here’s the situation, this family is not going anywhere until we come up with a plan. If any one has any secrets, now would be the time to speak up, before everything explodes in court.”

The room fell into an awkward silence as they gave one another suspicious glances. And then someone finally decided to speak up...

I was originally going to just start it at night, but I figured since there's some newer players in here, it'd make sense to let them get a feel for how everyone acts so they can more accurately choose their night time actions instead of just blind meta-gaming. Oscar had been in a daydream during the previous day’s preceedings. He couldn’t stop thinking about that sweet, sweet, big yellow joint. After Michael left, he took it upon himself to get a snack from the Bananna Stand, where he was knocked unconscious. His last thought can’t be known with any certainty, but it was likely “Oh God, what is my brother doing to me now?”

When he awoke, he was shocked to find himself in a motel room, not with his brother George Sr., but rather with his brother’s former assistant, the now very pregnant Kitty.

Oscar “Who are you? What do you want from me?”

Kitty, as astute fans of the show should already know, was accidentally given a container full of George’s sperm, and had successfully gotten herself pregnant with it. It can be assumed that she had come back to position her child as the new heir to the Bluth fortune.

Kitty “You know what I want, George! I want my child to be the new heir to the Bluth fortune!”

Oscar “Oh god, how many times do I have to say this? You’ve got the wrong guy. I’m his twin brother, Oscar!”

It wasn’t ten minutes after he left the motel room that Oscar smoked and got lost in the O.C (ed. note: don’t call it that). When the family gathered for their next meeting, he was noticeably absent.

3. The doctor healed whoever was attacked.
4. The most deadly and tactical weapon: The Mafia took a gamble on whether or not an Escort is in the game and is using WIFOM by purposely not attacking to frame whoever would have been roleblocked last night and is hoping for a mislynch today. The only question is, is there an Escort in this game? If there is, I'd ask you not to role claim, for one thing. We don't want town power roles with a target on their heads tonight.

Those are the only possibilities I can think of. Any speculations?

So albeit that I think Luna is playing a very complicated and dangerous game I'll see where it goes.

My belief is that she is mafia who attacked SK last night (hence no mafia kill)
BTW WOULD DOC KNOW IF HIS TARGET IS ATTACKED?

Knowing that many mafia do this (claim sheriff to out sk and appear town at the same time) and also that the mafia needs SK alive for a while to thin out the heard, Luna is using circle logic (WIFOM) to make us think that since it is so early in the game no mafia would out the SK.

When in fact he is indeed mafia and outting the SK in hopes that we think he wouldn't be a stupid enough mafia to do such a thing on day2.

Also in the fact that the likely hood of sheriff finding a baddie on n1 is 3/12
(8 other townies + GF (assuming immune to detection) vs SK + 2 random mafia)
I have a very sinking suspicion that Luna is mafia.

All of this being said I will still vote for the SK if he doesn't defend himself well enough in hopes that this mafia scum is right and gives town a better chance of winning.

Yeah, but in my defense I was actually awake last night when the day went up but nothing happened. Then when I woke up nothing had happened, and after a few hours nothing had happened. When the day has less than 12 hours to go and nothing substantial has been talked about I thought I'd speak up.

DramaLlama brought up the valid point which I had in the back of my mind but didn't want to vocalize (because it may have weakened my position on the claim). If the Mafia found the Serial Killer then they could act like the Sheriff. It will be interesting to see if they got blocked or hit a healed target though. Tomorrow should be interesting, maybe the Escort will be able to confirm a Mafia I find, or the Doctor can confirm a Townie who ends up as suspicious.

As much as everyone kind of, sort of, missed Oscar, it was important that they figure out how to deal with the knowledge Kitty had at her disposal before worrying about problems within the family. Michael decided to attack the problem head on, and as he left the apartment to search for Kitty, he jokingly mentioned that he wished she blew up in G.O.B's magic act a few years ago.

It was at that point that he actually ran into her, and upon seeing she was pregnant, felt bad.

Michael "Oh... come on"

Kitty "Nice to see you too, Michael. Is your dad around? I'm looking for him."

Michael "Is that his? Are you carrying one of my dad's children?"

Kitty "Yes. Remember? Your mother left me his sperm when she sent you to kidnap your father from me."

Michael "Well, it's not really kidnapping if you're taking them from the kidnapper, but let's not do a whole thing. What do you want, Kitty? Why are you back after all of this time?"

Kitty "It's simple. I want my child to be the heir to the Bluth company. And I'm prepared to-"

Michael "Okay, that sounds fair. Done."

Kitty "What? You're just going to give it to me?"

Michael "I'll have Barry draw up paperwork to legitimize it."

Michael knew that promising something to Kitty for the future was better than the damage she could cause in the present.

So with that, Kitty had no more reason to remain in Orange County (ed. note: ... good). The family had gotten rid of her by, ironically, including her.

Later on tonight I'd quite like to look through days 1 and 2 again in more detail.

Since not much actually happened on those two days though I think we'd be best off trying to establish what roles are in play for both sides.

So, for starters I know that someone blocked me last night - since the bodyguard has normal rules in this game, we can assume that there is either an Escort or a Consort. I think that Consort is more likely, but we may have an Escort which was witched to block me or just decided to block me because they wondered if I was the Godfather. If you are the Escort don't be afraid to role-claim because of this, at some point it will be useful to claim.

Speaking of which, it also might benefit us to find out exactly what happened on night 1 and why the Mafia didn't kill. They might have elected not to kill - a stupid action. They could easily have hit Zane the Serial Killer... but at the back of my mind I have to think, why kill Zane? Chances are that the Mafia know he probably wouldn't have helped in the scum-hunt a great deal and would be a suspicious diversion for the Town; this was worrying me when I revealed, that he was framed, but TheWaaagh seemed to quash that question. Honestly if the Mafia did hit Zane then they could pull the same thing I did - wait for a bit then claim Sheriff and find the SK. Of course it's a risky plan. The Mafia would want the SK alive for a bit to up the KPN, and would be afraid of the eventual counter-claim. The Mafia would also be afraid that Zane could just reveal he'd been healed, or was the Veteran who'd gone on alert and stopped their Godfather, and their 'I found the SK as sheriff' plan falls apart.

If someone got attacked and healed we have a Doc who knows that someone is innocent, and a victim that can test the Doctor claim.

If we have an Escort, whoever you blocked and didn't claim so on day 2 is more suspicious now.

Any Town that didn't claim blocked on night 1 if there was a Consort in play, you need to reveal that info immediately.

Basically, what boggles me is this; Zane clearly wasn't blocked, so someone else was blocked on night 1. If the Witch controlled the Consort to block another Mafia member (which could be a reason why it wasn't reported)... why would the Witch take a seemingly useless night action to hit the Sheriff? I don't believe a Witch is in this game.

Zane wouldn't be attacked and blocked on the same night. Now, we know he probably wasn't blocked, and whilst he wasn't a great night target that doesn't mean he wasn't attacked.

We need to establish whether a Witch is in this game or not. We do have some time on our side, but with me as the only person with any kind of claim that isn't going to help Town. They don't care if I get healed or bodyguarded, they can keep blocking me every night. After two nights of results, surely we can piece together some more information? I for one would quite like to end this day with some kind of informed lynch.

If you were attacked then healed on night 1, speak up immediately. You'll come up as a confirmed Town (the only thing more senseless than the mafia choosing not to kill night 1 is the mafia choosing to kill one of their own members night 1) - if someone lies about this claim then the Doctor can store this information for later and either reveal or leave it in his last will.

My initial impressions are that Deathfire123, Goremancer and Sumikoko are the Mafia. Of course there is very little to go on at this point. Goremancer did his usual trolling phase at the beginning, but I think there was method to his madness. He immediately launches into a 'hilarious' lynch of his teammate, Deathfire. Deathfire jokes around slightly more than usual - after being an honoured member of Shinra, I think that 'Janice' plays scum a lot more low-key these days, but is still trying to establish the 'don't expect much from me this game' rapport. I think it could be a double-bluff.

Sumi is often quiet, but she seemed to be slightly scummier this game... especially when she listed off all the reasons why the Mafia might not have killed (not especially scummy by itself) but when she persuaded the Escort never to reveal it caught me as funny. I think she knows that the Consort is in the game, I think she's trying to lay down cover for herself (as the Consort) or her teammate, to explain away a very late role-claim in the game.

Which leaves me confused, if a Town role was blocked night 1 then they should have spoken up. The kill didn't go through so they wouldn't know if it was a Doctor, in fact nothing could be inferred from that information.

Now we're at a situation where, if there was a Consort in play, then they might not have blocked anyone night 1 so that the Consort and their teammate could claim the blocker/blockee relationship later.

If there's an Escort in play, then whoever was blocked night 1 is instantly suspicious.

I think it is safe to assume there is no janitor. I would think that a consig would have come forward by now (day 3) and given some false/good info and claimed invest. I don't believe their is a consig, but still a possibility.

Or kira can block the targets we determine in day chat (no chance of bus or witch). Even if kira is mafia (definitely a suspect at this point), he's now trapped into doing what we tell him. If he doesn't do it, well, he'll be lynched. If he plots with his mafia buddies to fake the info between them, then we'll quickly catch on. The mafia might kill the block target to implicate him, but it he is the consort then we effectively negate a power role of theirs.

At the moment I'm more than content to let one of the more active 'claimed' town prs live, if the info gathered on this lynch is anything to go by.

Sumi is often quiet, but she seemed to be slightly scummier this game... especially when she listed off all the reasons why the Mafia might not have killed (not especially scummy by itself) but when she persuaded the Escort never to reveal it caught me as funny. I think she knows that the Consort is in the game, I think she's trying to lay down cover for herself (as the Consort) or her teammate, to explain away a very late role-claim in the game.

Heh, I can't but always be amused at people's predictions of my devious ploys. It's like they project what I'm going to do, and I feel sheepish because they're assuming I have such foresight to be able to execute such actions. Such as Borkbot last game thinking I set up the previous day to frame Waaagh with a ridiculous bus driving when that was not my intention at all. I'm pleased to think that you think I'm capable of such plans. Whether I can actually carry them out... Well. That is another matter.

I certainly understand where you're coming from. In fact, I'll even point out a flaw in my list, that I had not even thought that the Mafia could have attacked the SK as a possibility of why their kill didn't go through. I was not aware that the Serial Killer had night immunity. Derp. If you want to know why I told the Escort not to out himself, it was genuinely because an Escort is of most advantage to the town in a setup like this, where the Mafia has a limited number of people, and outting himself by Day 2 is not a wise move.

What strikes me particularly interesting today is that Kira claimed Escort and pronounced that he blocked Goremancer on N1. The even more curious thing is that you got roleblocked last night, Luna, and Kira admitted to it. Now, why would you block a claimed Sheriff? There is no witch nor bus driver in this setup, which means everyone's night actions should have landed on their target if they weren't roleblocked. I don't understand what was Kira's intention in blocking you, Luna, unless he's scum, which wouldn't make sense since he admitted to roleblocking, or a more ingenious plan. This seems highly unlikely to me, but again, here's one of Sumi's crazy scum analysis plans.

If we assume Goremancer is scum, as he's certainly on the defensive today, which is indeed suspicious, then if Kira said he roleblocked Goremancer N1, then it would automatically cast suspicion on Goremancer as a member of the Mafia and give himself more credibility as Escort. However, Kira didn't say anything yesterday (which might have partially been my fault in hindsight, lol), and instead waited till today to reveal that he blocked Luna last night and Goremancer the night before. By blocking a Sheriff, Kira has casted suspicion on himself that he's Consort, but at the same time, has lifted suspicion from Goremancer because it would make no sense for the Consort to block another member of the Mafia. But also at the same time, and you'll excuse me if you're really Sheriff, Luna, but also free you from suspicion of being a member of the Mafia as you've said you've been roleblocked and he confirmed it. Okay, I'm starting to confuse myself lol, so I'll stop there. But basically, if Kira is the consort, then by sacrificing himself, he has lifted suspicions from both you, Luna, and Goremancer because both of you have admitted to being roleblocked and he confirmed it.

McPwnage I'd be interested to hear more from you; I believe your lynch on kira is an entirely valid one at this stage. I believe we have a situation though where, even if kira was mafia, he would have to do as we say or be instantly outed. This doesn't mean he can clear himself (if we ask him to block a town player he won't hesitate, if we ask him to block a mafia player they will lie). This does mean that we can reduce the available Mafia night actions. If kira really is the Escort, then the Mafia is less likely to kill him.

Whilst we may appear to have time on our side (given that we've only lost two citizens and lynched the serial killer) I have some doubt about letting a lynch day go so easily. The Mafia can easily pick apart the Townies who actually vote until we're left with Town players that can't be bothered with the game and we can't push a lynch through.

Gore you've also got to begin defining the line between 'trolling and being cryptic to avoid being pinpointed by the mafia' and 'my behaviour is now hindering the town's ability to identify the real scum'. You've almost elevated yourself to a stage where lynching you would be the best thing to do even if you turned out to be mafia.
