You attempted to murder someone in their cell last night via strangulation, poor bastard never saw it coming.

To your surprise, your target survived the night!

You performed a forbidden ritual of mind control on an inmate, to target XXX.

Your cell was visited last night.

The target that you witched appears to have similar motives.

Your cell was visited last night.

Your need to prove yourself has led you to the cell of XXX, who you believe to be an XXX.

Your cell was visited last night.

Special Mechanics

Lunatics: Instead of receiving the role card they should of received, players may be marked as a Lunatic, and receive a fake rolecard. Players are not informed of being a lunatic and receive fake RANDOMIZED feedback that corresponds with their received rolecard instead of any feedback they would normally receive from their true rolecard.
Rage in Grief: Upon the death of a Occult Leader, Cult Leader, Jester King, Serial Killer, Witch, Mass Murderer, Ritual Killer, or Drug Dealer. A random Lunatic that is a Sinister receives information that somewhat confirms their alignment.

Mechanics
Days and Nights are between 24 hours and 48 hours depending on schedule, with the exception of day 1, which is 72 hours.
Night chats do not exist.
Last wills are not allowed.
Lynches will be handled by the automated lynch system using [vote] tags, with a majority (51%) vote inducing a hammer. If a hammer does not occur, a plurality lynch will occur, unless a "skip" has the most votes. All lynches are optional
Night actions must be PM'd to host at least 1 hour before night ends.
Game starts day 1, with an optional lynch.
Suicide will not be allowed.
Cause of death will not be revealed.
True roles will be revealed upon death.
All players that receive a Sinister rolecard may leave a death note.

Actions
Because any player may receive a role with one action when they may actually have a role with two actions, this section was created to clarify any confusion when a player submits multiple actions whenever only one would be valid, and vice versa.

If a player submits multiple targets for their action when their role would only target one, then their true target will be randomized between all submitted targets.
Example: Player A is an Escort, but they receive the Sleuth rolecard. They target players B and C. Either Player B or player C will be roleblocked.

If a player submits only one target for their action when their role would target two, then their secondary target will be randomized between all eligible targets, which can include the primary target, and yourself.
Example: Player A is a Witch, but they receive the Jester King rolecard. They target Player B. This will cause Player B's target to be randomized between every alive player in the game.

OoO
1. Witch
2. Veteran/Mass Murderer (if self is target)
3. Escort (if Bus Driver or Escort is target)
4. Bus Driver

This setup is crazy and made to mess with players in a fun way. Nice. Review in progress.

I assume the roles will be handpicked for balance, and then randomized to each slot. Is that correct? Otherwise, the setup would have quite obvious balance issues, from what I can see. Please specify in the Mechanics in the event of a future host.

When a Lunatic player recieves his real rolecard, does he recieve his real feedback retroactively?

Why is there a feedback confirming his Sinister alignment to a Lunatic under the Asylum Director's feedback section?
The Director's visit does nothing and is basically a Visitor modifier to the role, correct?

Does the Insane Sheriff get told that he is an Insane Sheriff if he is visited by the Asylum Counselor?

Other than that, this relatively complex setup has everything well specified and does not seem to have major balance issues if I understood it correctly.

Heh, that is the point afterall, the self WIFOMing can drive people insane.

I don't like discussing my exact methodology when it comes to the setup creation, but rest assured, it will be balanced to acceptable criteria. But of course the slots will be distributed to players randomly.

When a Lunatic player recieves his real rolecard, does he recieve his real feedback retroactively?

No. They will then proceed to receive true feedback however.

Why is there a feedback confirming his Sinister alignment to a Lunatic under the Asylum Director's feedback section?
The Asylum Director's abilities work only on those that received an Insane rolecard. Thus a random Sinister Lunatic that received a rolecard of opposite alignment could get feedback suggesting that they are in actuality a Sinister.

The Director's visit does nothing and is basically a Visitor modifier to the role, correct?
As of right now, the Asylum Director's visit does nothing, and does not provide feedback.

Does the Insane Sheriff get told that he is an Insane Sheriff if he is visited by the Asylum Counselor?
As of right now, no. I am open to changing this, but since the Insane Sheriff isn't necessarily a Lunatic, they do not receive randomized feedback. Note: The Insane Sheriff has been renamed into the Paranoid Sheriff as to not confuse with the alignment "Insane".

Other than that, this relatively complex setup has everything well specified and does not seem to have major balance issues if I understood it correctly.
More eyes and increased scrutiny are always appreciated, there were a few inconsistencies with my last run (http://www.sc2mafia.com/forum/showthread.php/37211-S-FM-204-Insanity?p=627849&viewfull=1#post627849) of this setup, most of which I would like to believe I addressed.

Lol :D

Fair enough, I trust your judgement on balance.

Ok about feedback

Ahh, my bad. Maybe adding a clarification to it would be nice to avoid misunderstandings and questions in-game, but that's up to you.

Ok about the Director's visit
even more wifom you sadistic host lol

Insane Sheriff not being told that he's insane (modifier, not alignment) is a good thing IMO; that's the spirit of the role.
A Paranoid Sheriff is an actual role, though : it's a sheriff who sees everyone as suspicious, no matter who he checks. Crazy Sheriff, maybe? See https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Cop

The linked game was considered in the rework and I believe that all issues have been addressed (and as I said, I trust you for the balance).

The plurality + majority lynch system is often considered as better than simple majority nowadays, mostly because it is less "gameable" and because it limits the effects of less active players. Of course, you are free to keep majority only; this is mostly a meta-related suggestion.

The setup should be ready to be approved after these points are addressed. It will be marked as Experimental due to its nature, by the way.
