While it may seem like I've been lurking so far, the reality is that I've been spending HOURS reading through the thread and the reason why I have not posted since the early game is because all of the time that I have had has needed to be dedicated towards catching up, which brings me to my next point.

The issue with spamming is that even though it potentially reveals information on the spammer themselves, they end up creating so much useless noise that it ends up being highly detrimental towards scumhunting on anyone else. People are forced to either skim or skip sections of the game thread in order to read through it in a realistic amount of time which in turn causes people to miss a potentially large amount of information. For this reason, I would be very happy with the lynch going onto either AIVION of Efe who are by far the two worst culprits when it comes to spamming (they litterlly had a random conversation about kingdom hearts part way through).

One quick question first however...

Marshmallow Marshall Back when AIVION vs Efe was the entire centerpiece of the game, it seemed as though you were quite heavily defending Efe. Can you please give a quick summation behind the points you made behind not seeing Efe as scum.

Efe plays by his town meta. He does not try to survive: his play is basically suicidal, he claims to be the exact thing AIVION claims to suspect him to be, which would be some kind of crazed killer-poisoner. Although Efe's play doesn't help town (The spam and off-topic/thread derailing is seriously detrimental to reading and to my sanity...), I do not believe him to be scum.
He was also voted up quite fast, which is, even if he's a very tempting vote target, town indicative, or at least not scum team indicative. I believe it is possible that he's a neutral role, but I don't see wrong intent in his play. But if literally anyone else was pulling that, he'd instantly get my vote.


Oh, and mea culpa! I have skipped pages of the game, because of me not wanting to spend my life reading 1 post/minute, which is LITERALLY what has been happening (D1 has started ± 24 hours ago, there are 1440 minutes in a day, and I'm currently quoting post #1320). I'd say that pinging people is the best way to be heard, at this point.


If you want an AIVION lynch, I could get on it, as there was nothing pro-town from that slot, only a huge tunnel onto Efe and that Sean Watts guy... with a story that makes little sense.

"Spamming into submission" has a negative connotation to it, but if I'm doing something that you're unhappy with or that is potentially anti-town, I would expect you to follow it up and make efforts to get more information out of me instead through pressure or persuasion instead of just abandoning it.

So I was in the midst of doing a post on AIVION vs Efe, with the general overview being that I'm cool with lynching either one of those two but that I found MM's defense of Efe to be weak for multiple reasons and, as a result, I was scumread MM since it looked like he was mostly interested in either defusing pressure onto Efe or positioning himself as a defender of Efe, both of which would be highly questionable.

I'll most likely revisit that later, but I'm getting off very soon and, right now, this interests me more.

Since the cat is already out of the bag, here is the "leaked" RP information that I was eluding to earlier...

While I wish that Light didn't post what he did since he still gave away too much information, here is the important note;

If scum believe that they've uncovered the identity of a TPR, they are obviously going to want that TPR dead. However, attempting to lynch someone who is going to claim PR once they start getting votes is usually not a great idea since they could easily turn the vote back against them. As such, the most expected way of dealing with it is to pull away from pressuring that person, wait until night and then direct the kill onto that player, hopefully with their TPR status being unknown to decrease the chances of protection.

Falling Foxes recent interaction with me seems to heavily mimic this. He asked me for my RP name. During the time after the question and before the response, information was revealed that made it so that when I gave my response, it would have been relatively easy to deduce that I was a TPR. FF then proceeds to back off of the entire thing.

The reason why I am spelling out here that I am a TPR is that enough information has leaked prior to this point that there was a very high chance that mafia would be able to figure out my TPR status going into night anyway. This way, I have the benefit of being more likely to be protected as well as less likely to actually be targeted now with a public claim.

And since FF's reaction is so similar to how I would expect scum to react...

The only one I have accused of shading is yourself.

Hopeless but innocent for now. I don't want to believe Efe's executioner shade but that's the only reason I have to believe Aiv would have ulterior motives. At the same time I don't think Efe is as evil as Aiv says... I don't have the full story to know where the confusion is though.


The more this goes on the more confident I am that both Efe and Aiv are innocent so I would really like to steer the wagons and conversations away from them and find the actual killers. I don't want to waste two days killing them off.

I don't think that's necessarily unsettling. I can believe reasons to be convinced at someone's alignment based on flavour text.

Your flavour seems to connect you to a lot of people but not confirm roles. Obviously you haven't just told me everything on your card so I don't know to what extent this is true but my point is that your flavour there isn't enough to condemn or prove someone. If a rolecard is more blatant in a role then that should give someone more confidence. Still, unsure how much we can trust people's abilities to read between the lines or realise a role that could be for both alignments. I can just understand why someone could be fairly certain.

I'm more concerned with Light's reaction being so defensive and immediately saying anyone who suspects him should be hung... I mean, there's no reason to be so certain that only scum could be suspicious.

So I was in the midst of doing a post on AIVION vs Efe, with the general overview being that I'm cool with lynching either one of those two but that I found MM's defense of Efe to be weak for multiple reasons and, as a result, I was scumread MM since it looked like he was mostly interested in either defusing pressure onto Efe or positioning himself as a defender of Efe, both of which would be highly questionable.

I'll most likely revisit that later, but I'm getting off very soon and, right now, this interests me more.

Since the cat is already out of the bag, here is the "leaked" RP information that I was eluding to earlier...

Everyone should be able to easily connect the dots on this. I'll be even more explicit by saying that my RP name is Cooper Clarke, even though that should be fairly clear after this information. While I wish that Light didn't post what he did since he still gave away too much information, here is the important note;

If scum believe that they've uncovered the identity of a TPR, they are obviously going to want that TPR dead. However, attempting to lynch someone who is going to claim PR once they start getting votes is usually not a great idea since they could easily turn the vote back against them. As such, the most expected way of dealing with it is to pull away from pressuring that person, wait until night and then direct the kill onto that player, hopefully with their TPR status being unknown to decrease the chances of protection.

Falling Foxes recent interaction with me seems to heavily mimic this. He asked me for my RP name. During the time after the question and before the response, information was revealed that made it so that when I gave my response, it would have been relatively easy to deduce that I was a TPR. FF then proceeds to back off of the entire thing.

The reason why I am spelling out here that I am a TPR is that enough information has leaked prior to this point that there was a very high chance that mafia would be able to figure out my TPR status going into night anyway. This way, I have the benefit of being more likely to be protected as well as less likely to actually be targeted now with a public claim.

And since FF's reaction is so similar to how I would expect scum to react...

well, im also using reads here to help support. I townread yagami, mainly because he is being resistant with anyone - that shows his paranoia. he also very early revealed he was a PR role, so i dont really see him doing that as scum too much.

so if it is TvW via the storyline, than i would put yagami as the wolf.

it works both ways. however, look at the wording.

Yagami is concerned about efe, not efe concerned about yagami. so, in any decent B rated movie, that would mean that he would do some investigative work into his master, learn his master is some villain and have to bring him down with the knowledge he was taught by him.

its like if the karate kid found out mr miyagi was selling coke in America during the events and one of his friends died to a cocain overdose. Daniel would have to confront his master eventually, after training up, and get him to stop. ofc, being a movie it would turn into a massive kung-fu fight with music and everything before he overcame his master and saved the coke heads (reality forcing them all to find new dealers and raising coke prices).

Also something that bothers me about AIV's story is the method used in the murder. How do you watch someone poison somebody? Like it's a very slow and inefficient way to kill and doesn't work if you get seen poisoning something so it doesn't feel right to me.

Definitely felt like she contradicted herself there a few times. I cannot for the life of me bring myself to compile all of those posts though. You've seen how much filler she has.

It seemed like she witnessed the killing but then she just witnessed him being the last person seen with her and it just kept going around those points but felt pretty wishy-washy as to which one it actually was.
