I followed an arsonist the night they lit and it showed that they visited themselves.

I didn't think arso was a role that could visit themselves. I checked the replay and the arsonist wasn't involved in any other interactions (witch, bd, etc).

Yes, this is perfectly normal. How visits work: Where you click at night (or where a witch clicks for you), you visit that place. The "ignite" command for the Arsonist is on himself. Therefore, he is visiting himself when he ignites, just like a veteran will visit himself when he goes on alert, like a bus driver when he busses himself, etc.
