This asserts that there are 3 investigaters. 1 dead, 1 possibly Stan and 1 more in Phillip.

It also doesn't specify if doc is Doc(Architect) or Doctor. I imagine that it means Doctor.

I'm not sure what to make of the rest of it.

I'm also reconsidering my assessment of Ike's mentioning of Stan... it appears he might be trying to implicate Stan, not clear him. It makes more sense. He suggested Stan was innocent but immediately follows with "but it could be a ploy." He thought I was naive and pliable, so you're right, Stan is likely not Mob.

However, how likely is it that there are 3 investigators? Is it possible that the Merchant (Randy) was misleading town, opting instead for an immediate and private Mafia alliance? Randy was very much against the mobs joining, which may have only been in response to both yours and my suggestions of killing the Lovers. However, Randy made point to say "at all costs", which one could infer to mean that he was hoping for a swift victory at the expense of a town win, since as you expressed, town needed the mafia's to merge one way or the other. It also does NOT imply that he is anti-mob, only anti-mob-blob and pro-Lovers (as per win conditions).

I do not question the Lover's intel at this point, but I do question Randy's. There's no telling what Stan is. I believe the Mob knows, and that he is not an investigator... Considering an outed invest would openly reveal his results, would he not?

Presumably this is Stan REPing his invest results to me as I requested. Either it explains why Stan hasn't been helpful, or it's bullshit because these are obvious/impossible to currently know.
