Well then, this is the first time each of us has been "scum". I say that in the loosest sense of the word because we are technically mafia but our win conditions make us neutral.

I say that you should try to get one of the Drug Dealers or the Consigliere. I will go for the consort because I know it will be good for our safety (If the Jets try to target me, I will RB them if I become a Consort). Do you want me to go for something else?


I was thinking Consort for you, too. "Safer," harder to question role.

The reasoning is that we would have access to any information that you find while you and I can choose what information to give to your mafia team.

If they knew that you were doing that though, would spell d-e-a-t-h for us

Although, with the M-FMs and how involved I was with the town's victory I might be made Consigliere. Don't ask for anything yet.


It's actually quite hard to do a whole lot with consigliere with our setup.
They'll expect me to form a code to tell them in my first post the next day what I found.
Unless we have every "what if" planned out, I won't be able to discuss with you what I ought to tell them.

Drug dealer and lawyer seems not very useful to us, and neither does ventriloquist, but I have the advantage of playing ventriloquist well because I can go on both this account and the smurf account at once. Seems like a fun one to play, but again, not very useful, unless you were going to get bus driver or whatever, and that's a little risky.
Anyway, post as often as you'd like. You're probably a better strategist.

After some thought, the other sharks might make me the disguiser, because of what I did in FM7. I said I would pretend to be FT. People killed me because I seemed like FT. It all depends on who the of the sharks are.

Ask that the GF choose based on his impressions. The GF is the only confirmed non lover and so he has no possibility of trying to give himself an advantage.

Go under settings (on the top right of the page) look to the bottom left. There should be General Settings. Invisible mode should be "on"

I actually had a feeling that I would be a lover. It started 2 days ago and it's been nagging at me til I got the role and I was like "OMGFBBQWTF I AM AWESOME!"

My mafia buds are trying to get either mayor or pardoner for the disguiser and either have the disguiser shoot away, leaving the town without either of those roles, OR they plan on bus driving the mayor with our consigliere so that the mayor seems like scum to night investigations.


Also, they plan on giving me the kidnapper and bus driving the consigliere around. I'm no Taxi Driver. Do I look that bad?!? Seriously, the Godfather has no idea about my wants and needs. It feels weird. I like being neutral. Neutral Mafia. What a team! And we can't reveal the mafia to the town! But then our GFs could die, along with 2 others then we'd be mafia right along with them. They would be so surprised to learn that WE have been in love for all this time. The Lover role is so unique this game


So out of sheer curiosity, what would be the most likely situation on how we go about winning this game?
Do we want to win with the town, or somehow do away with our GF's later in the game to form one big mafia?


We win if we survive and another faction wins.

Because the Mafia factions have win conditions to kill off the other Mafia faction, we cannot win with the Mafia
We can win with the Town if they win and we survive
I think we can win with a Neutral Killer. let me look at our win condition really quick.

I'm glad that the sharks gave me the role with the most potential to cause chaos for ALL factions. We're planning on killing town leaders without the possibility of a heal through the bus driver. I might redirect some kills to your team however. I will consult you before I do anything, of course. Just putting that idea out there.


You know, a thought just occurred to me.
The Mafia can't win with each other UNLESS we're killed, or the GF and one other mafia member gets killed.
So just throwing the possibility out there.
What if... we put utter trust into our Mafia and act as the go-betweens? Then we can technically have a HUGE mafia faction with 2 KPN, and have a much better chance standing against the 20+ town members, rather than be pitted against each other AND the towns at the same time.
And then when we kill enough to wipe out all town/neutral members, we can then just sacrifice the GF of each mafia and EVERYBODY IN OUR MAFIA WINS!
Too idealistic? Or do you think we can pull it off?

And I don't know, if they do that then they would be going against their win conditions. They need to eliminate the other Faction and siding with the Faction so that they can joint win seems to exploit the rules that FT has put down.

I'll ask the question but I think I know the answer:
FT, can we do what Kenny suggested and act as the go betweens of the Factions until we sacrifice our GFs and another mafia?

Have the Jets all chosen your roles? All but one of the sharks have chosen ([Sharks 3] is stupid. He logged on, said "a lot happens when I'm gone", then logged off).

FT, if we decide to lie about our night actions to our respective mafia factions do you want us to put our actions here, or PM them to you?

I am not yet confirmed to be Lawyer, but it's pretty much set for me to be one.
Ah, I did not think it counted as exploitation of mechanics.
Though technically if you think about it, the two of us know everything. So you'll use the knowledge I provide you to the best interest of your Mafia and vice versa. We're secretly acting as go betweens already. It's just that we don't tell our teammates about it and try not to act suspicious. So I guess the question would just be whether or not we can tell our teammates about it.

I dunno.

I'm just really worried about the pros NOT on our team lol. Philie and those others. I'm attempting to weigh the chances between winning with town by somehow duping our teammates, wiping them out eventually, and winning with Mafia by using combined intel, and I'm just more inclined towards winning with Mafia. Maybe because I've already taken to being a Jet lol.

Well anyway, all of this is just speculation till False answers the question. :)

Two things I want to ask you.
1. If False approves, whether you'll let me reveal to the rest of my Mafia that I'm the Lover. They can't do anything to me, of course, but it'd put their trust in me and we'll get things done faster.
2.If one of us dies. This is probably the most problematic of them all. False has not answered whether Lovers win as a team or not, but I'm assuming that once one of us dies, then the other
just joins the Mafia? I mean, what happens then?

1. I'll plant a seed first then you can go. I wouldn't want to risk losing you to something where one team messes it all up.

2.We're lovers in a Mafia game based on a play based on Romeo and Juliet. I think the living one commits suicide if the other dies.

The confusion is understandable. If I hadn't played epicmafia for a bit I would be completely lost about lovers because FT hasn't posted anything about suicide or whatnot on the role cards.

If we act as the go-betweens and merely relay strategies and coordinate the two Mafia kills and share pools of knowledge, I think it'll be much easier than trying hard to pull strings and we have the advantage of keeping our 2KPN till most of the town is weeded out. Really though, we can just eliminate half the town, then we'll have the voting advantage if we all pool our votes toward the same person. Sure, it'll reveal we're Mafia. But at that point, once we take care of the town killing roles, it wouldn't matter. And then at the end we can merge. The only problem I see is that this plan hinges on the fact that we'll live till the end. I'm afraid some town vigilante will shoot one of us for the heck of it, and then mass chaos break out. If we somehow coordinate, then I guess it'll be "safe" telling the town we're lovers to prevent a random shooting and then there are implications of that... It's pretty complicated.

I think proclaiming lover to our Mafia is a sign of good faith already, else we wouldn't have revealed. But we did so because we trust them. And if they're so adamant about shooting the other lover, they have to keep in mind one of their own teammates will die alongside. I suggest we not reveal names of each other's Mafia members initially, but once this thing gets rolling, like around Day 4 or 5, maybe we can. I have not said anything yet to the Jets. Let me know, darling, if you think we can pull this off.

I was thinking as I was walking the dog earlier. I had an idea that would give the most chance for the mafia to finally win a FM.

The idea involves us both sending our GF out every night, and not targetting the other Mafia. Then after our GF gets sacrificed we put in his last will something along the lines of asking the Jets to sacrifice their GF. Then we each pick a member to sacrifice, and form a combined team to wreak havoc on the town as a super group. And then the people that died will win with us as a giant team.

And it also means we don't have to worry about the lover mechanic since the lover turns into a mafia during that "event". I don't know, I think we could use our death note to see what the other team thinks?

If we want to keep the 2 KPN then the lover (whoever it might be) could coordinate with the other lover to make sure that we don't stumble over the other team until we would want to combine teams.

The added benefit is that the lover has no reason to NOT help us because the lover would be looking forward to the event.

I don't know about the second portion with the GF. I know Waaagh said it, but he wasn't the lover, and thus didn't think about the possible suspicion it cast on him. But since you really are the lover, you probably don't want to say something as sensitive as sacrificing the GF and another player from the outset, in the case that they do react against it as it is the first thing you say.

I'd say something along the lines of using the death note to ask the other Mafia if coordination is possible, since dealing with the other Mafia along with 26 town members and with the "backstabbing" lovers (using that word might help draw suspicion away) is hard to pull off a win or something. Say something about the lovers not as likely to rebel if the joint win stated with the Mafia event. But not combining immediately or else losing the 2KPN. And then say at the end when most of the town is thinned out, AT THE END sacrifice the GF to pull off a joint win. And then say the last line you had.

That's the general outline of what I would say.

I would think that with [Sharks 1's forum account]s thinking, I understand where he's coming from, but by suggesting that he's possibly supporting a Lover event because of ease... he's estranging the lover on his own team and would normally be encouraging more backstabbing lol.

We could "technically" threaten our Mafia lol. "We'll suicide if you don't cooperate, and make you start with an 8 person Mafia with one kill per night!" But that WOULD be gamethrowing I think lol.

Should I go ahead and tell my Mafia team? If they positively respond, you can cite it and tell the Sharks. If they don't... well they can't do anything to me lol. One, because they can't kill their own mate. And two, they'd be shooting themselves in the foot if they revert to 1KPN so soon.

Oh, and if this does get arranged before Day1, I'd say probably you ought to get elected Mayor. You'll have the protection of the townspeople as the mayor, while still able to bus me or any other people if it starts looking bad. If anyone else in our Mafia gets elected, that's one person in danger because nothing can be done to save him.

The thing that still worries me most is the stray vigi and serial killer and those other people. If they shoot one of us dead, they'd be messing up the plan that they have no idea how long it took to make and I'd be pissed lol.
