I love it when people vote with Host WIFOM as reasoning.

You're throwing shade on post #2 of this game for having weak reasoning. You're not even trying to offer another approach. Do you plan to make a few ez points / low-blows, shitpost for a while, collect a few weak town points, then leave like usual?

I'm a citizen, confirmed town here!

Well, I guess Mesk is cleared then! That should make things easier.

If we're gonna start using host meta, don't you think crypt would be scum?

Not necessarily. Even if Unknown made a point of putting a "pro" on the team, he could have chosen another "pro".

That still seems more plausible than this explanation.

Born Ronald Ephen Wilkerson in Chickasaw County, Mississippi, where he was raised by five aunts, Titus Andromedon had no choice but to stay in the closet, and an extremely awkward time in high school, stuck as a popular kid on the football team who girls wanted to have sex with all the time. He was selected prom king during high school. He remained in the closet until his wedding day to childhood friend Vonda Jeanne Brooks. The thought of the wedding night was too much for him and he fled the reception without saying goodbye, travelling to New York to begin a new life under a new name, Titus Andromedon.

Titus is openly gay, and is an aspiring Broadway performer. He auditioned for The Lion King on Broadway at least 20 times and never got in because he never came off as straight. He tried to put on his own production, but only got one audience member, who had simply come to show him copyright laws.

His rival is Coriolanus Burt (James Monroe Iglehart), who beat him for the role of Sharecropper #2/Cow in Alabama!, an all black version of Oklahoma!, by running onto the stage in the middle of his performance at callbacks and announcing the death of Gianni Versace.

Titus rents from Lillian Kaushtupper (Carol Kane), and makes a few bucks by walking around dressed as an Iron Man-esque character. Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper) becomes his roommate, and convinces him to return the costume and get back his investment fee, which, with some effort, he does.

Unfortunately, the money ($200) is stolen from him after Titus awkwardly sang "I'll Make Love to You" at a random man's funeral. He later gets fancy new headshots taken, and gets an agent. He then auditions for the role of Spider-Man #12 in the musical Spider-Man Too: 2 Many Spider-Men, a parody of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark and over-crowded superhero movies. However, after humiliating Coriolanus when he loses as well, he is happy because he realizes the Alabama! role wasn't the big break he thought it was.

Titus then makes a music video of an original song, titled "Peeno Noir" meaning An Ode to Black Penis. Lillian films it for him, though finding the exact location is hard (including a bat-infested chandelier factory). As a result, he helps Xanthippe Voorhees clean up after her drunken party, in order to shoot the video in her house and keep from getting Kimmy fired.

Kimmy then gets Titus a gig singing at Jacqueline Voorhees' dinner party, where he meets the owner of a spooky-themed singing restaurant, where he gets a part as a Frankenwolf. He auditions for a part at the restaurant with a monologue, but after he doesn't get it, he takes very intense acting lessons about how to act like a straight man.

Titus drags Kimmy down to Indiana for the trial of Rev. Richard Wayne Gary Wayne, where he takes all the TV and radio shows for her. One TV show starts without him realizing, causing his viral video Gonna Be Famous (Remix) to become an Internet hit. This video later led to Titus' wife Vonda, who believed he was dead, arriving in Indiana to see him.

At the start of the show's second season, Vonda attempts to sue Titus for spousal support; however, as Titus was legally declared dead in 2008, Vonda's lawsuit couldn't go forward. It was later revealed that Vonda wanted an apology from Titus, which he initially refused though Kimmy pushed him to do so. He eventually did apologize to Vonda at the train station, and the two reconciled as friends. Titus, who was often resistant to relationships because he felt he would be let down at the end, later became involved with a construction worker named Mikey Politano, who was initially struggling with his sexuality and would eventually come out with the help of Titus.

He also began workshopping his new musical Kimono You Didn't: Murasaki's Journey, about his past life as a geisha, which initially sparked internet controversy but was ultimately well-received, and, after being promoted to Spooky Gravedigger, quit his job at Dr. Dracula's Spooky Lab & Bar & Grill. He then booked a Miami cruise called Mahogany starring Dionne Warwick.

Yeah nah, Unknown doesnt like me enough to give me a 'chance'. Also Im not sure I follow your logic, I have played many games between my first S-Fm and this one, what is the correlation?

Whad easily cracks and reveals himself, so does my current knowledge of gyr, however I hear that hes improved, so its probably less likely he'll do something stupid, like I believe Whad will. Therefore he is the better candidate for a lynch. Pretty simple stuff :)

That is fair enough. At long as a reason exists for you to buddy her :p

However, I'm not voting her because of host meta. I'm voting her for attempting (even in joke) to use host meta to read someone as scum, while host meta could also dictate that she was scum. Yet, she didn't address that.
Is this a good read? No, absolutely not lol.

Is it the best so far on D1? Yea, I think so.

Since Whads not here yet, and everyone else has checked in, Il make my case for a D1 lynch on him as follows, and encourage others to vote for him.

Whad is the most likely player from this group of players to reveal the most information when facing pressure, and an eventual lynch.

If Whad remains quiet throughout his amounting pressure, and volunteers little to no information (reads, thoughts, strategies etc.) then it will all but confirm him as scum (imo) as it contradicts his usual play.

If Whad remains vocal, we will probably be able to glean more information from him (than any other player) and, in conjuction with the interactions he has with every other player in the game, have a decent position to move forward with on D2.

Obviously the second point is true for any player in this nightless setup, but I believe Whad will be most beneficial out of all the candidates.

These assumptions are biased toward Whad being scum, but this opportunity to have a good footing D2 still exists if he is town.

If anyone disagrees, feel free to post, given this strategy is based on my own meta read of whad. Chime in if its incorrect, or you feel someone is better.

Whoops, mistell!

If anything, host meta would leave me as cit. Unknown doesnt want me to have any fun, and would enjoy seeing my d1 mislynch :(

Anyways, I still think Whad is the most appropriate player to be lynching D1. Id vote Gyr, but I hear he's improved, guess we'll see how that pans out.

Town only gets 3 mislynches. It's hugely irresponsible to push policy lynches in a setup like this.

If anything, Host Meta would have Unknown make Mesk finally non-Citizen in a game that only has Citizens for Town.
Which is ironic that Mesk would try to use Host Meta but entirely ignore this fact.

INTERESTING

Mesk514

So far, Mesk seems like town Mesk to me. Just based on the general attitude.

Oh if you're actually voting me to try to get a read and not b/c of policy from the last game... then I LIKE IT

3 mislynches yes, but given the nature of D1, its statistically more likely to be a mislynch anyways. Why not atleast utilise this opportunity to get the most information from a player for D2 onwards? Do you disagree with my strategy, or the fact that youre the centerpiece in it?

Why do you think I'm the most likely to reveal information out of every player in this setup? It's not like there are roles in this setup besides citizen or goon so it's impossible I'd breadcrumb a PR claim.

Early D1, I think it's important to push lots of trains and not tunnel in on pushing a policy lynch on the one person you have a personal beef with. Can't tell yet if this sounds more like town with a vendetta or like scum trying to mislynch the low hanging fruit.

My thought is that since we only have 3 mislynches, it's best to use those on people who are HARD to read instead of people you think will be EASY to read/crack under pressure.

No vendetta, Honestly dont recall the previous 'beef'. You acknowledge yourself as low hanging fruit though, interesting.

I agree that wiping out the better 'hard' to read players makes sense, as it allows weaker players to be easily exposed later, but then that also leaves weaker players to have to control the game, which could be worse than trying to decipher harder to read players. Also hard to read players may have less interactions with other players, so its more difficult to determine a team composition.

I don't think that tunneling to a lynch gives the most information D1. I think that (especially in a nightless game), putting up a bunch of trains and seeing interactions and who is willing to hop on what trains and not on others gives us the most information. In fact, I think that having multiple players get up to L-1 on D1 but were let live in favor of a different D1 lynch gives us the most information moving forward.

The issue is not that she jokes, the issue is that she made the joke her defense. If she can make herself a joke, and her whole lynch a joke, noone will take it seriously, and then she can fade back into the background and do jackshit for the rest of the game. It's pretty clear Crypt and Titus think Mesk is the best vote on the table currently, even if Orpz is being a slimeball.

I half feel like this was an agenda that Iced wanted to push and didn't count on me being available so close to the time of game start (since I'm not usually on until much later). Thanks.
What kind of tell is an un-consigning? Town or scumtell?

Given that Iced has claimed NOT to have beef with me, I'd say it's not an un-consigning view... Which then makes me feel worse about his posts. I initially read the options as town with beef or opportunistic scum. And if Iced claims not to be town with beef, then I'm forced to put more weight on the opportunistic scum lean.

I glanced at the signs list and overlooked MZ, you were the only one I hadnt see check in yet. You checking in didnt strengthen or weaken my premise, so i didnt feel the need to make a note of it.

I agree with your tunnel train vs array train sentiment however. Im willing to consider others for the centrepiece role.

I do still disagree in lynching a hard to read, over a vocal (therefore easier to read) candidate for d1 however.

Why not put pressure on hard reads forcing them to be vocal? It sounds like you're advocating lynching vocal players on D1 which seems anti-town.

I feel like you are Condescending the point I'm trying to make here, if you take a step back and look at the overview, you will see that there is a correlation between a tantamount wolf-pack type scenario.

I don't think it's really possible for someone to condescend someone's points in a game while they're currently unironically voting someone based on copy/paste from wikipedia.

Whilst it is true that vocal players are easy to read, it is not necessarily true of the inverse, playerd are hard to read because theyre not vocal.

My sentiment is that weaker players, when forced to talk alot, if scum, are likely to volunteer information, or provide TMI.

Stronger players that are hard to read can chat just as much, but are likely to be more cautious is what they post and in what tone.

Also a weak scum could retreat entirely. A weak town is likely to continue talking, like the weak scum, but wont provide TMI or slip, because they have nothing extra to slip to make the mistake

Since I said I would continue to make reads of other players. I will agree with yzb that its frustrating that mesk is not making reads.

In a game with only VTs she should be avtively making reads based on interactions between players, instead shes resigning herself to not committing to anything and joking about instead.

A case could be made that shes uncomfortable or perhaps finding it difficult providing reads when shes scum against a list of only citizens

However, mesk has played scum in this setup before, and if anything would be better equipped to deal with d1 as scum if she rerolled it. It also, as a meta read, vomes across as bored townie who doesnt give a fuck about d1.

If mesk is town, which i believe she is, I would expect her to step up her game, even if she is bored.

Why would stronger players need to be cautious in this game? In a nightless setup like this, it's as much your role to figure out who the scum are as to communicate a townish disposition/alignment to the other townies. There are literally no TPRs or anything that any player would need to hide.

There is still a coordinated scum team in play. Any and all interactions are points of interest for the scum team to conceal or expose, depending on what strategies they employ (bussing, distancing etc). So it would make sense for a player to be reserved, or calculated about what they post.

I think your point here only confirms mine though. That a townsperson has nothing to worry about when they post so they don't have anything to conceal while a scumperson knows the identity of the coordinated scum team so they (and only they!) must be concerned with concealing information.

Would a stronger player who is town need to be cautious and concerned with what they post?

Here are my thoughts before retiring for the evening.

Town
Mesk514 - current play is in line with town meta. Will be watching to see if activity drops off. Also, since I believe this slot is town we could really use the help with analyzing and pushing other players.
yzb25 - I like this slot's analysis of Mesk, and questioning a variety of players. I think this slot may not have played enough games with Mesk to realize that while her behavior is anti-town, it's not scum.
Superjack - Like the soft probes at players. Less sure about this one than mesk or yzb.

Not enough info:
Iced_Monopoly - I think this slot is pretty scummy because of the whole "focus on weak players while giving hard to read players a free pass" thing, but I have scumread this slot when we are mutually town before.
Gyrlander - the "If I was mafia I would kill yzb at night" thing is a little awkward, but I'm ever so slightly townleaning on it
Orpz - slight scumlean for acknowledging that town should be active/not troll yet doesn't really boost up in activity level.
Mattzed - hasn't posted

Scum:
Titus - way underperforming here.

My not enough info on Iced_Monopoly has nothing to do with his quantity of posts. Logically, I find a large portion of what he said extremely scummy. However, I am putting him in "not enough info" since literally every game I've played with Iced (when we've both been town), I've found him extremely scummy since I think we have very different reasoning styles. So I guess what I'm trying to say about iced, is that for now his super scummy posts are NAI to me.

In a game where there are no nightkills and no PRs, it makes 0 sense for players to hold back at all. Cryptonic is worse than Titus imo because the active trolling/wikipedia copy pasta is like, negative utility for the town.

Cryptonic I'm curious what you think about Gyr's posts at the start.

If I was mafia, you would die tonight.

Are you implying you aren't aware this setup is nightless, even though the setup is called nightless?

I'm implying that if I was mafia you would die tonight. As that's impossible, I'm passively claiming not being Mafia.

It looked like you were trying to pretend you don't know mafia don't have a nightkill to look more townie.

That still seems more plausible than this explanation.

To be honest, I said that but I actually didn't remember this setup was nightless lol. It just sounded great and decided to post it.

K.

At first, he said the contradiction regarding nightkills was an attempt to softclaim town. However, he then changed his alibi to simply "I forgot the setup was nightless". Even though:

1) The setup is called nightless.

2) He has clearly read the setup, because he's familiar with the lore:

Wow, such a coincidence, I'm one too! It's a little strange because there shoudn't be citizens on a ship but... okey!

- if he remembers the setup's lore, it makes it EXTREMELY unlikely he'd forget the setup's most important feature - that there's no nightkills.

Orpz read this as Gyrlander trying too hard to look town, by feigning being unaware of the scum mechanics:

I think it's an amateur way to distance oneself from the Mafia. Most people think before they speak in Mafia, so it is funny to see someone post something with possible underlying meaning so early into the game. Reminds me of something that Mafia would do in the Sc2 Mod to try to hide.
However, the fact that the game is nightless changes my opinion. If he was aware enough about this game state to trying to use some WIFOM on d1 to hide as Mafia, then you would think he would be aware enough regarding not having a NK. That fact cancels out the logic you are using. I also don't see how it's an "alibi" for him to say he forgot there was no nightkill, maybe i'm just nitpicking semantics here, though.

Regarding Orpz, he seems like he is busy or not caring too much about day one and is throwing around votes to whatever train shows a resemblance of logic behind it. I'd be more alarmed of this if it keeps up past the weekend, and he continues to sheep throughout the game.

I find it interesting that Whad's only read on me is "underperforming", but that was somehow enough for her to place a vote on me. Literally has stated nothing game related that should lead her vote to be on me, yet it is there. Seems like it was just an attempt to join a larger train. It's ironic because I have been more productive and contributed more than Whad, yet you don't see Whad seppukuing herself in the corner over it.

I also find it interesting how she spaced out her read list.
Also, to dissect it:
Lol SuperJack as a Town Read? He has done nothing, and is voting me because I have "too much information on day 1" when I copy & pasted an article from Wikipedia, that he still hasn't addressed lol.
Iced_Monopoly is not enough info? He literally has posted the most substance all game, and actually interacted with Whad the most. If anything, Iced should be her strongest read.
Mesk's read is based on never communicating with Mesk, but it's her #1 Town Read. Wat?
Then, in her read of yzb, she states she agrees that Mesk is playing anti-town? So, someone you think is Anti-Town is your #1 Town Read? LOL Where did you pull this list out of?

yzb25 Last Explanation

When I said the post about the "if I was Mafia you would die tonight" I was completely unaware of the setup being nightless. It was a pretty basic comment about the desire to murder someone when you actually can't because you're town.

Then, after you said that the setup was nightless I thought it would be funny and amazing if I told that I actually said that saying that as I couldn't kill you because the setup is Nightless, it also means that I'm not mafia. However, you started to comment more about it and I decided to say that it was... well... not planned at all.

After that, you said that it was impossible for me to not know the setup is Nightless because it is on the title. Well, I didn't read it. It is a quite long title and I just click the link, switch to my current Sc2 Mafia Arcade game and wait for it to load. I don't have to read the title ALL the time. The setup is also 2 months old (I mean in sign-ups) and the mechanics are hyper basic, so I didn't feel the need to re-read it. (AS IT IS FUCKING VANILLA).

I'm amazed by how much we have talked about something SO tiny and stupid. I don't know if it was a waste of time or a way for you to analyse me. I hope it was the second. However, I hope your vote isn't based on this but another thing.

Now that you have commented it I have realised that the post reminds me a lot of scum Whad. I remember him giving pretty wrong and stupid reads when he was scum. Here Mesk & SJ as mayor townreads is pretty stupid and doesn't have any explanation. I can understand him putting Iced in the null list because it doesn't matter if he has talked a lot... sometimes you just don't get info from the current posts that the player has made / you have detected scum & town things in their posts, so you decide to have it as null because they both counteract themselves.

Whatever your life situation, you have the time to have this conversation but you can't even provide a few lines of thought on a few interesting players. Instead, you resign yourself to some shoddy kissass and more self-victimizing.

The Gyrlander-is-town-hypothesis just has so many holes right now. At least try to put up a fight. At this rate the d1 lynch will be locked in before the halfway mark >.<

Your extreme confidence of me being lynched with the shitty conversation that we just had is quite disturbing.

Mesk514: Can't say a lot. She is playing like usual... claiming Cit D1 and then proceed to shitpost for the rest of the time. I can say a lot about me being worried of her receiving scum role because Unknown decided to do some shit but it would be the same as in other games... so I'll just say that "Time will tell us whether this player is scum or not".

Orpz: Another player that has said basically 0. Voted Mesk, then said that he hated SJ. After that proceeded to vote me having as reasoning a post that I wrote long ago and he probably ignored but when Yzb started to seriously talk about it he used it??? Suspicious... 0,1 scum points for you!

Iced_Monopoly: I like his posts and continous push / talking with Whad. I like the things he says, although I don't know how he's as scum so I can't tell if he says the same things. However, 0,1 town points for you!

Titus: Who? He has said things but nothing that called my attention. Could be scum trying to hide.

Whad: I like the fact that Whad has talked with Iced Monopoly in a confident and relaxed way which I like. He seems to be giving substantiated arguments. Still, there were some things that bugged me and I don't like his reads post. I have him as null.

MattZed: Afk. Hope when he comes he acts like in Death Note.

Yzb25: My strongest reason of town-reading yzb is that when he's scum, he often lurks to death and says things which... well... doesn't make much sense / give information. I also like his posts and the fact that he's picky on things.

SuperJack: Heh... most D1s he doesn't do shit and that's the case here. I expect him to say things this day / tomorrow. Can't really get anything from him.

Cryptonic: Hum... Crypt may be the hardest person to read here, so I'll try to do my best.

Something which I liked but I don't know if I could categorize is that he posted this and I was thinking absolutely the same:

Interesting decision to defend Mesk so early into Day 1.
It is noted

It is true that Iced_Monopoly has been hard town-reading Mesk and has shared it with people and kind of defended her. Crypt has made posts about this, which ultimately doesn't mean much because I feel like he would have talked about it regardless his alignment. He seems to comment on things that he seems as townish / scummish (is that it?) with a understandable proportion, so I can't do better than just slightly town read him.

Whad Wow I'm underperforming? My heart...

I don't think much of Gyrlander's posts. He is lacking any actual substance, which I don't find different from other times I've seen him play.

Gyr tries to softclaim / radiate townyness in general - He tells anecdotes about receiving his town PM, he openly whines about "how boring the night-phase is", exc.. So, in regards to the awareness point, it doesn't take a lot of awareness to execute a strategy you use often. What set this soft apart from when he does it as town was that this time it looked really forced.

As I see it, there are two hypotheses 1: "Gyr was truly unaware the setup was nightkill-less." or 2: "Gyr was aware that the setup was nightkill-less, but unaware that trying to soft not knowing the setup would look forced in this context". 2 looks far more plausible.

In scenario 2 he isn't even necessarily scum. He could be town that thinks admitting 2 is true increases his chances of being mislynched, but 2 still seems more plausible.

Anyway, I was more interested to hear your response to this specifically. It was never my intention to directly discuss it with Gyr, which is why my initial post was addressed to you, not him.

Ah ok. I thought you were talking about Gyrlander. I'm not saying that Gyrlander is Town for doing it, just not at the top of my scum list for d1. I don't believe that scum would really try to poke holes in logic of a d1 lynch and just see shit play out. I don't think I have to accept anything, to be honest. As you said earlier in this post: "one of the ways I try to add filler to my posts". That means you have more than one way, so I could see "pointing out random shit without any reasoning and not able to explain myself" as another filler that you throw in your posts. Even if you have a gut feeling about a post, you should be able to explain your post.

And you're right, I'm sorry; I misread the post about tunneling. I thought it said you ARE going to tunnel him this game. My apologies lol. I wasn't asking if you not to scum read him. I prefer that you do scum read him, specifically because I am not scum reading him. This allows for more thorough reads from multiple players after the d1 flip, to see associations, ect.

PS: When do I ever have chill? I'm a dickhead in all games, especially when people engage me. I mean, I can understand applying that attitude to, I dunno, my push on Mesk, which, looking back, was really overstated - because that's serious drama, and it's beneficial to let that "play out". However, SJ's push was clearly a troll push at worst and a glorified reaction test / random vote at best. Gyr didn't even take a solid stance, as you acknowledged just after, I believe.

I meant you have to accept that I can't put it into words, not that I'm flawless town and my word is gospel. The point of a gut read is you can't explain it logically. If you could, it wouldn't be a gut read LOL. In regards to the daisy chain logic to explain why it's scummy, all I can say is ">.>".

Yes, I completely agree! Heil the town! Let's build more associations together. You forgot to respond to my latest Gyr post:

This was the post I actually wanted to hear your thoughts on. Let's build those associations together, pal =D.

PS: When do I ever have chill? I'm a dickhead in all games, especially when people engage me. If SuperJack thinks that I'm going to roll over and let him vote me & put me at L-3 when he's being retarded and not having any argument and has people AGREEING with the lack of argument, then yea I'm going to react. I'm an aggressive player, dealwithit

I wasn't talking about the rudeness really... You just seem very serious. I dunno why.

Gyrlander You still haven't responded to this:

Mesk: You suggest Mesk will be easier to solve in the future. Do you mind sharing how you plan to sort Mesk?

Orpz: FYI, Orpz posted that stuff about you before me.

Iced: Do you think Iced defending Mesk is AI? I don't think he "hard townreads" her, honestly.

Whad: Other than the readwall, do you have any other negatives on Whad? The "confident and relaxed tone" and the "subtantiated arguments" are strong reasons to townread Whad. I personally didn't find Whad's readwall offensive for page 8.

Seriously. You are really over dramatising and getting far to emotional for what a rational Townie would.
It looks to me your a scum who is getting upset for being voted for the wrong reasons.

I disagree. You did something stupid. It's not unreasonable for anyone to get cynical over your vote given how ridiculous it was.

Your continued efforts to references the reactions to it are coming across as bait as well, however I don't agree that anything you get from crypt can be justified as AI, since you're only reinforcing the ridiculousness of the scenario.

I think its time to move onto focusing on something else about him. Then perhaps you could both be productive.

I mean, I can understand applying that attitude to, I dunno, my push on Mesk, which, looking back, was really overstated - because that's serious drama, and it's beneficial to let that "play out". I wasn't talking about the rudeness really... You just seem very serious. I dunno why.

I am reading Gyrlander Town for it. I specifically stated that if he did the same thing d2 or later, I would be agreeing with your assessment on the situation. But, since it's d1, there is no reason he needed to point out SJ's inability to read or formulate a real read, especially since the push wasn't on him. He could've easily just let it slide on d1 and no one would have questioned it. Seeing that he's the only person in this entire game to address the fact that SJ seriously (yes it was serious, he's backed himself up twice afterwards. Just because he says it's a joke now, doesn't mean it is) voted me for copy/pasta for non-Mafia related post, gives me a decent feeling about Gyrlander's slot lol; in fact, Whad joined his train saying she agreed with SJ's reasoning, and still no one questioned it. It's really bizarre that no one is questioning it.
And if SJ wants me to think that it was a joke vote, then he should really be confused about what Whad followed him with it. But, he's not questioning Whad's decision. I find that to be intriguing.

So, to address your point about SJ's push being a troll, I'd like you to consider the following:
1) If SJ was "trolling", why does he defend his push twice in the game.
2) When SJ admits he was "joking", why doesn't he question Whad agreeing with SJ? Wouldn't you find it suspicious if someone legitimately agreed with your troll and thought it was a reasonable assessment?

And no, I understood what you meant, and I still don't have to agree. And I also disagree that you can't put a gut feeling into words. You get a gut feeling, and then you translate that feeling. There is a specific reasoning why stuff gives you gut feelings while you read it. I'm not asking you to explain why you think it's scummy, because you never thought it was scummy. I'm asking what about it gives you a bad feeling. Did you think the logic wasn't there, do you think it was insincere, do you think I was buddying?
And, honestly, you should be TRYING to put your gut feelings into a logical argument. Either that, or keep it to yourself lol. Otherwise, it literally is just filler (like you said you do when you're scum). Unless you're a heavily emotional player (you don't seem to be), then you should be able to put it into words.

In your post that you quoted of yourself, why do you think that 2 is more plausible? I forgot that this game didn't have night actions before it started as well, so I don't think it's as far fetched as you are making it out to be. I also find it strange that you find it more likely that a player was both aware AND unaware, rather than just forgetting about the setup for a second. That doesn't make any sense to me, as it is a much simpler situation to be situation #1. You're making things complex and saying it is more plausible, but that's not how reality works.

And I'm serious because I'm always serious when people are talking to me in regards to game related information. If you want me to be informal and joking around, then ask me questions that don't pertain to the game.

Just gonna post some thoughts on Whad and Iced thus far:

I actually really liked Iced's interactions with Mesk. When he made this post:

It looked like he was making an effort to placate my over-the-top reaction in a way that acknowledged the validity of my points and didn't throw unnecessary shade. His reasons for townreading Mesk make sense, even if I still have her as only a null/town at best.

Iced has also consistently given coherent, reasonable responses to all of Crypt's shots. Though I have some mechanics disagreements with him, his style seems consistent with X Wing.

___________________________________

I also like Whad. Whad's response to Iced has been very composed and consistently looks like someone trying to figure out the intentions of Iced's push rather than just shut them down.

I liked Whad's readwall - it had understandable reasons. I don't necessarily agree with all of his reasoning entirely. But, for example, he seemed to take a natural liking to SJ as he talked to him more, so it makes sense to put him as town.

Also, if Whad is supposed to be the type who easily cracks / starts chatting shit as scum, he doesn't seem to be doing that this game. His reasoning seems sincere.

It's kind of ironic I have 'em as green, given they're pushing eachother lol.

Thank you for actually seeing things from my perspective.

He is voting me, and the only point is "you are being reactive". That forces a player into a position of either being a bitch and accepting the train, or arguing the point and playing into the description of "reactive". It's like a self fulfilling prophecy for SJ to use as an argument in either situation.

My vodka's getting warm.

Special attention should be drawn to these first three posts from Titus. All three are lighthearted fun and presented as jokes, not to be taken seriously. Their respective post counts are 13, 17, 28. It should be noted that all 3 of these appear AFTER mesk's joke post about Orpz, Crypt, and MZ being the scum team (#11).

I will come back to this in a later quote analysis.

It's my maiden name. I've used it since I was kid around online. It harkens back to Rome I think although I haven't traced it back that far.

I think that was the roman emperor.

A seemingly benign set of posts, irrelevant to the game. Still early enough into the day that they dont detract from meaningful conversation.

Shitposting as far as I can tell, that or a call back to an inside joke shared with MZ (post #28)

Push back on Crypt is interesting. If Mesk is scum, Gyr or SJ is a good candidate for a partner.

First useful post of the game, makes note of players voting crypt when there is a train on Mesk. However both these votes on Crypt stemmed from the same wiki copypaste post that he made. Both had no justification on them, and would be unsupportable by anyone who wasnt wanting to join in on the joke. Reads as a weak attempt to make the mesk train seem more reasonable, despite their being no grounds for a legitimate counter train on cryptonic.

WHy are you supposing Matt will vote Mesk?

This was in reply to yzb asking everyone if we would lynch mesk's scum pool if she flips inno (#88). It should be obvious that YZB supposes matt will vote mesk, because of the running theme that all of mesks scum picks are on her train, an acceptable read based on the running joke.

You are really scattershot.

No particular comments here.

Speed of a wagon is NAI, especially on day 1. Forever long days can be toxic to town.

No particular comments here.

What is it you're saying here about me?

Miscommunication here, thinking yzb's reply was directed at her, where as it was directed at me.

Very rarely a town player would be, if they found partner theory they lacled evidence for. That does not seem like Mesk though.

Appears to be a reply to the last sentence in the above post (#135) made by whad, regarding the caution players need to take when posting thoughts. Continues to bring all conversation back towards Mesk.

Which post? I missed it.

No particular comments here, reasonably easy mistake to make. If I absolutely had to push it and make a case for it, I would question how titus could miss my plan, which was discussed with Titus for the better part of an hour, but still be reading mesk so often.

You called a scumteam so you don't have a reason to be shy.

My name is Titus. I take everything seriously.

What are your "serious" reads?

And these last two posts are where we come full circle.
Mesk calls her 'scum team' as a joke in the very opening posts of the game. It is apparent to all that these are jokes and should be accepted as such. Titus herself makes 3 consecutive joke posts at the same time as mesks posts (despite claiming to 'take everything seriously'). She then builds her case/tunnels mesk for the rest of the game based on a joke she made, despite making jokes herself.

In all, Titus feels very focused on mesk, with little to no legitimate case on her. She pushes on nothing, and even attempts to support her case by references pushes on others (which are also baseless jokes). The only thing titus has done that I like is to pressure mesk to contribute more; An unjustified vote early in the game, continual baseless arguements, and a lack of looking into other players however is ridiculous given we've elapsed half of D1. Anyone giving titus a free pass or town read for this lazy, and scummy behaviour is also going in my notes. Its as bad as superjacks case on crypt.

I know that gyr will come back with his 'hard defending mesk' comments about me. My position however is simple. Mesk needs to contribute. She is being scumread for joking around. The time for jokes has now passed, and she has promised to post, so she better fucking post. Players like SJ and Titus, who are forming baseless arguements need to be looked at first.

Il reply to this since I was in agreement with YZB. I think the 'jackshit' comment was more directed towards your MZ suggestion, as he actually hasnt done anything. Lynching SJ would reveal some information, but very little. I encourage you to ISO SJ, with what hes posted, is there anything outstandingly useful that would give us an edge in D2? Atleast theyre making posts, reads, and analysing the game independently of being asked to do it. If anything, being in my town basket for having similar thoughts is a worse position to be in. Sundays are my busiest days tbqh. Not gonna be home til 1AM, but I will be on from time to time. Spending my few free hours reading since posting takes too much time rn.

Mesk has made a lot of posts though, and I'm surprised you tagged her but left out Whad.

Gyrlander I apologise for my previous outburst, im just dissapointed in the state of the game at the moment.

Im not going to ask you to reply to something specific like everyone else is. I want you to come up with something independent and original. Focus on any person, or any interaction between two people that hasnt already been covered by someone else. Report on it, give us your interpretation, your reads on the player(s), whatever the fuck you like. Prove that youre not just a reactive lurker, do something proactive.

Pls go re-read mesks posts, there is little to no content in them. She might as well just be posting song lyrics at this stage, would probably be more beneficial.

pedit, i said two people in my previous post, but i dont care how many people you focus on, hell you can go for a grand overarching theory for all I care, just make it original

I want everyones thoughts on Titus' case against mesk, and her other interactions as well, especially from those that were previously reading her town.
