What happens if you investigate a disguised person(not a disguiser)?

Please answer, "user" is a disguiser!, or something along those lines.
If not, disguiser op. :/

[ANSWER] Disguiser, even when disguised, always shows up as a Disguiser/Tracker.

1. Example: You have a godfather and a Disguiser. An investigator is getting healed. GF and Diguiser both attack. What happens?

You can either RevEdit the posts with the answer or you can post a reply I guess.

I'll then go through and copy and paste answers and questions on the first post and it'll be a giant FAQ kind of thing.

[ANSWER] The Godfather's attack would be cancelled out, leaving the Disguiser open to kill and disguise as the Investigator afterwards.

So Disguiser is really capable of making a second kill for the mafia on the same night? Isn't this a bit overpowered? I would have thought Disguiser will simply opt to take the place of the mafia's target at a night of his choosing.

[ANSWER] The Disguiser would be underpowered if that is all he could do. As it is, he has a large range of strategies, but isn't too powerful because he can only kill once.

Hi everyone.

I have some questions about mechanics. It has come into play occasionally in my games. The Mafia wiki is not totally clear about some of the questions I will ask below (or I was too dumb to understand it).

Consider the following scenarios:

1. SK targets doctor, doctor heals sheriff, mafioso targets sheriff... does the sheriff die?

[ANSWER] No, the Sheriff will live. The heal does not get cancelled with death.

1a. SK targets bodyguard, bodyguard protects sheriff, mafioso targets sheriff... does the sheriff die?

[ANSWER] No, the Sheriff does not die. The Mafioso dies and the Bodyguard dies. The Serial Killer will kill the Bodyguard some more after that.

2. SK targets mafioso , mafioso targets SK, who will die? (assuming no immunity for SK, of course)

[ANSWER] Both of them will kill the other, leaving both the Serial Killer and Mafioso dead.

3. SK targets mafioso, mafioso targets sheriff, who will die?

[ANSWER] The Mafioso and the Sheriff will be dead.

3a. mafioso targets SK, SK targets sheriff, who will die?

[ANSWER] Again, the Serial Killer and the Sheriff will die.

3b. does the answer to 3 and 3a change if the SK or mafioso was under control of the witch?

[ANSWER] No.

4. Escort1 rb's Escort2, Escort2 rb's mafioso, mafioso targets Escort1, does Escort1 die?

[ANSWER] Yes, Escort1 will die because Escort2 is roleblocked. The game will calculate it out first by applying both roleblocks, leaving Escort2 and the Mafioso roleblocked. It will loop again and fix this logical error by trying the roleblocks again; this time, Escort2 is already roleblocked so their roleblock is cancelled, leaving the Mafioso open. Then, Escort1 will be killed. This will happen 100% of the time.

5. What happens when a bodyguard protects himself due to a witch, and someone tries to kill him?

[ANSWER] The Bodyguard and his attacker will be killed. Think of the Witch as steroids, letting you do stuff that isn't normally possible.

Bus Driver A
Bus Driver B
Person A
Person B

Bus driver A moves Bus driver B and Person A
Bus Driver B moves Person A and Person B

Which person is in which spot? The only thing I know is that Bus Driver A is in the same spot.

[ANSWER] Assuming that Bus Driver A swaps first, the result will be that actions that target Bus Driver B instead target Person B and actions that target Person A or Person B instead target Bus Driver B. If Bus Driver B swaps first, then the result is that actions that target Person B instead target Bus Driver B and actions that target Person A or Bus Driver B instead target Person B.

1) Bodyguard A and Bodyguard B both cover Sheriff. Sheriff gets attacked by Mafioso. What happens?

[ANSWER] The Sheriff will live and the Mafioso will die. It's essentially random as to which Bodyguard will die, but one of them will live.

2) Bodyguard covers Sheriff. Sheriff gets attacked by SK and Mafioso. What happens?

[ANSWER] The Bodyguard will die and kill the Mafioso. Then, the Serial Killer will kill the Sheriff, leaving the Serial Killer as the only one alive.

3) Jester gets voted guilty and one of the guilty voters will die. Can doctor heal this dying guilty voter?

[ANSWER] Yes. Remember that night immunity is bypassed, though.

4) Bus driver swaps Investigator and Mafioso
Witch manipulates Bus Driver and orders to target Sheriff
Does Bus driver swap? If yes, who?

[ANSWER] Witches cause Bus Drivers to be roleblocked. Thus, nobody will be swapped.

5) Escort A targets Bus driver
Escort B targets Escort A
Bus driver swaps Escort A and Mafioso
Mafioso targets Escort A
This has no logical solution, what will happen?

[ANSWER] First, the Bus Driver will swap Escort A and the Mafioso. Second, Escort A will roleblock the Bus Driver and Escort B will roleblock the Mafioso. Third, the Bus Driver's swap is reset, meaning Escort B and the Mafioso are now targeting Escort A. Fourth, the roleblocks are reset and calculated again, resulting in Escort A and the Bus Driver being roleblocked by Escort B and Escort A respectively. Nothing happens with the Bus Driver because he is still roleblocked. Fifth, the Bus Driver is reset back to his usual state because Escort A is still roleblocked by Escort B. Sixth, the Bus Driver swaps Escort A and the Mafioso to reset the process. This is a three-state repeating paradox that will end at a random state. One possibility (2/3 chance) is that the Mafioso will successfully kill Escort A. The other possibility (1/3 chance) is that the Mafioso is roleblocked by Escort B.

6a) What happens when witch causes arsonist to target himself?
6b) What happens if witch continues to do this?

[ANSWER] The Arsonist will douse himself over and over.

In one of my games GF had immunity, he was jailed and killed by a SK on the same night. Is this a bug or intended?

[ANSWER] Being in jail blocks most special attributes, including detection and killing immunities.

Is that to say that a GF inside a jail investigates as a leader among men (and a framer as good at forgery) regardless of whether or not the option is selected?

[ANSWER] Yes.

1. Example: You have a godfather and a Disguiser. An investigator is getting healed. GF and Diguiser both attack. What happens?

From the sounds of your answer to this question, your saying that GF's attack would be healed and disguiser would come in for the kill correct?

[ANSWER] Yes.

If so would the disguiser's death message say he was killed by the mafia twice or what?

[ANSWER] Yes.

If a witch should win a game without any mafia alive, does the mafia also win or just the witch?

[ANSWER] The Witch wins, the Mafia lose.

If you have two roles that both have the "Becomes Mafioso if alone" box selected such as Consig/Janitor, then does one of them become Mafioso if the Godfather dies first? Or are they doomed to Investigate/clean SK deaths til one of them dies?

Also, if one does become Mafioso while both of them are alive, is there a specific order in which the game picks who to replace?

[ANSWER] One of them will convert to a Mafioso at night. The order depends on the player number, like most other things in the game. For most intents and purposes, this means it's random, though the people who join the game first (i.e. the host) will convert first.

Why a Mayor with 3-4 votes would lose if he's only one remaining with another mafia at the start of a day? Normally, if a vote proceeds, it will be a tie with each other voting to lynch each other. But it's a mayor! >.>

[ANSWER] It takes three men to vote. For balancing purposes, the 1v1 win conditions are strict. The only way a town role wins a tie with the Mafia is if a Citizen with the tie-breaker option on is up against a Mafia role.

I see.

What about sk v witch?

Arsonist v sk?

Arsonist v witch?

Other 1v1s I missed?

Is that only the way a town will win in 1v1? (citi with tiebreaker enabled vs mafia)

[ANSWER] It says on the loading screen as of writing; Serial Killers wins first, then Arsonists, then Mafia/Witches, then the Town.

Thanks!

If ever there is two people left, one of them being a survivor or exe how does the game play out? Automatic win for the other player's team plus points for the survivor/exe?

[ANSWER] If the day starts and two people are left, the game always ends. In this case the Survivor will win along with the other side. If the day ends, however, it depends. If a Serial Killer or Arsonist are left with a Survivor at the end of the day, the game will continue. Otherwise, (Mafia and Survivor, Witch and Survivor, etc.), the game will end.

Why does SK win in a 1v1 situation over arsonist?

It seems a lot harder to win as arsonist than sk...

[ANSWER] The reason for this is that the Serial Killer must kill one at a time, which puts him at a disadvantage in an endgame scenario with an Arsonist. Arsonists make their kills all at once, so it's fair that the rare Serial Killer vs. Arsonist match-up would favor the Serial Killer.

I want to donate 30$ or so. How do you know my in-game name to apply whatever bonus to?

[ANSWER] I don't, because it's impossible (thanks, Blizzard...). A password system is used for donor bonuses.

So what your saying is that they didn't allow for account recognition within the game? I truely think they are retards for allowing people to have the same name. It causes a ton of confusion and removes the possiblity of these things. What I think you should do is make it so when the password is entered, it saves to a bank that this person with this bank is a donor. But seeing the problem as being that we can trade bank codes easily, do you think that there is a chance of hiding yet another code within your bank that recognizes your name? and only unlocks the saves if your name matches the entered name?

[ANSWER] Hackers can read other people's bank files and steal donor information even easier than before. Besides, there is no way to detect the account name/number at all. I can't even use the leaderboard name because that is also stored in the bank, thus making any difference-checking meaningless.

Ugh Blizzard and hackers are a pain in the ass...... Fucking hackers need to get a damn job as a computer technician or something and stop ruining people's days fuck. And Blizzard needs to smarten up with how they run things in SC2.... I don't want to have a ton of people with the same name as me, it confuses people. I've had some random guy add me thinkging I was his real life friend because we had the same names. I WANT TO BE UNIQUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I geuss for any of this to actually follow the rules of this post I need to add a question....... Should we all start a petition to yell at Blizzard to fix the way they run things? And add security and safety to Bank files?

If there is somehow 3 witches, what happens if a witch controls a witch to control a witch

[ANSWER] Witch 1 controls Witch 2 to target Witch 3. Witch target-actions are the people they control, not the victim's new target. So, Witch 2 will control Witch 3 and make him target X, while Witch 3 will control X and make him target Y. X and Y are the people Witch 2/3 originally ordered their victims to target.

1. If 2 witches control same victim and commands him to target different people, which witch will successfully control the victim?

[ANSWER] Whomever has the higher player number will be the controller (Player 5 over Player 2, for example). For all intents and purposes this is a random phenomenon unless you are the host.

2. If Disguiser, vig, sk, and mafioso/gf attack same victim guarded by bodyguard, who will be killed by bg?

[ANSWER] The Vigilante will die. Vigilantes attack before anyone else, save for the Jailor. Then, the Mafioso and Serial Killer will kill the victim and the Disguiser will do nothing.

3. If 2 jailors jail each other who will be able to execute another? I hear that only one of them could do so...

[ANSWER] The Jailor with the lower player number will end up being free and the other will be jailed.

4. If a bus drive switch A with C but another bus driver switch A with B on same night, who will A eventually end up being switched with?

[ANSWER] The bus driver with the lower player number swaps first.

5. If a consort and escort roleblocks sk who has autoroleblock kill, who will be killed?

[ANSWER] The one with the higher player number will die.

I have a feeling there is a similar mechanism going on for all these questions... curious to see how this thing works

Theres a large mafia family consisting of Gf, consig, framer, consort, janitor, blackmailer.
After Gf is lynched, who will have priority to become a mafioso first (considering that consig has ON option to become mafioso)

[ANSWER] It's based on player number. The Mafia member with the lowest player number becomes the Mafioso. This is assuming that the Consigliere does not replace the Godfather.

If consig has option to replace Gf instead, will only consig become Godfather
and no one else will become a mafioso?

[ANSWER] If this is the case, then the Consigliere will replace the Godfather and no Mafiosi will be created.

Sk attacks Gf (immune at night) who is healed by doctor. What message will Gf receive--
"a stranger healed you" or "someone tried to attack you"? Will the screen say to SK that Gf was immune to his attack as well? Will the results be the same if SK was immune and was attacked?

[ANSWER] The immunity message always appears in place of a healing message.

Jester (makes guilty voter suicide) is lynched when only one person votes guilty on him. If that voter is swapped by bus driver, will that voter still die at night?

If a doctor can see if his target gets culted, and prevents culting. Does he see attempts at culting?

[ANSWER] Yes.

If a cult targets a member of the mafia, are they removed from their old chat? Are there any important notes of culting a mafia that you would like to say?

[ANSWER] Yes. You're out of the chat but you still appear on the team list.

If a sheriff detects everything, is he told his target is mafia in addition to cult, cult in addition to SK? Etc Etc?

[ANSWER] Cult overrides the original alignment, so he would see Cult on everything that is Cultist.

Can a -suicide be healed / roleblocked / ... ?

If it can be healed, will doc see it as if the target is attacked?

[ANSWER] No. A -suicide is an assured death, no matter what.

I checked the huge script you posted, but did not see the answer in it; if it's there, I apologize.

Which order of sequence happens first? Mason Leader Recruiting, or Cultist recruiting. I ask this because I'm curious on what would happen if a Mason Leader recruits a non-citizen the same night a Cultist recruits that same person.

[ANSWER] That algorithm only deals with Witch, Consort/Escort, and Bus Driver. In this case, a Mason Leader will always recruit before the Cultist. In other words, if both target a Citizen, the Citizen becomes a Mason and discovers who the Cultist is. If both target a non-citizen, the player becomes a Cultist and does not get killed by the Mason Leader.

If a framer frame someone like a sherif, and an invest check the sherif ... what will the invest see ? Your target works for justice, or some kinda thing like "your target owns weapons" ?

[ANSWER] It works like any other framing. The target will appear to be like a random member of the Mafia.

If a sk is able to kill roleblockers and he targeted an other people (while an escort rb him), there will be 2 kills by one sk in the same night ?

[ANSWER] No, only the roleblocker will die.

Why do you need a citizen with a mason leader ? This role can kill culstists too ... (I did the experience ;p)

[ANSWER] On the Americas server, Mason Leader doesn't necessarily need a Citizen.

Don't you think executionners are sometilmes overpowered ... ? That's quite easy for an exe to win, saying he's a sherif ... and real sherif / invest can't know if he is exe or the townie sherif ...

[ANSWER] There is an optional condition for the Executioner to be required to live to the end of the game to win. Also, he gains far fewer points if he dies in the meantime.

Thanks :)

Post - edit : same question as the first one, not with an invest, but with a detective / lookout ... ^^'

if theres 4 town and 1 witch 2 nights go by without killing and it goes to secret ballot no one is voted or voted then inno would wich win the stalemate or would it go to town since theres more then 1v1

[ANSWER] A Witch who fails to vote on the Anonymous Ballot deserves the loss they would get. The town would win because it's a 4 v 1 scenario.

I'm sry for asking another question, but why did i have to enter a battle.net name again and its like my whole file was resetted.

[ANSWER] Either you switched computers or accounts, or Blizzard's shitty programming got the best of you. Post your bank file in the point resetting thread.

If a bodyguard happens to protect, say, a vigilante who targets another bodyguard-protected person at night, will the bodyguards kill each other?

[ANSWER] No. The Vigilante will die and the bodyguard who attacked him will die too. The bodyguard who protected the Vigilante will be left alone.

Also, if an escort and consort roleblock each other (or attempt to), who gets RB'd?

[ANSWER] Does it even matter? In any case, one will get the message and the other won't.

[ANSWER] No skip for executions in the foreseeable future. I will definitely add more executions later on (probably later in December or January), though.

When amnesiac 'remembers' being Arsonist late in the game, do they inherit the previous Arsonist's douses?

[ANSWER] All douses are shared, so yes.

Can a witch target an arson to burn all the doused victims?

[ANSWER] No, the Witch only modifies the primary action (dousing), meaning an Arsonist who is burning will still burn if he's witched.

What happens first dousing or burning?(If both happen from two different arsonists)

[ANSWER] Dousing.

Is there anywhere I can find a list of unlocks and abilities for points? I'm currently at 4k an unsure of what there is to look forward to aside from the 10k Marine and 5k Hat. Thanks.

[ANSWER] I don't even know. Seriously, you might as well ask someone with 10k points, as I made the unlocks one day and then forgot everything about them immediately afterwards.

SK is set to kill Roleblockers, Jailor jails the SK:
1: What happens when the Jailor executes

[ANSWER] The Serial Killer dies.

2: What happens when the Jailor doesn't?

[ANSWER] The Serial Killer attacks the Jailor.

(Thought that Jailor RB was perfect, and stopped the SK's RB-killing ability, but had it come up in-game...)
