Wierd game bug - MM kill with no MM in game

So night 1, player 5 dies by chainsaw death, At the end of the game there is no MM in the game. Watched replay a couple of times and can not for the life of me figure out how or why this happened.
Can someone please explain?

Looked like just a bug to me. Definitely odd.

Would like to note that host had MM in the role list at start of game, then canceled and removed MM and added Neutral Benign. Guessing this is what caused the bug.

Ah good point, I remember seeing that. I cant really recheck the replay currently, but do you know if the jester did a night action that would have resulted in the mm glitch, with the game mistaking the role?
