Tiberius Julius Caesar Augustus, sitting in an otherwise empty stone chamber in his barracks at Jerusalem, has his hands full. He had faced and conquered much of the northern boundaries of the northern Roman Empire, including the extremely formidable Germanic tribes. He has faced countless hardships and conquered them all, yet was never satisfied with his life. Still, as the 2nd Roman Emperor, Tiberius had indeed seen it all. This may be why Tiberius exiled himself from Rome three years ago. While he still reigns as Emperor, most of the statecraft is now run by his Praetorian Prefect in Rome, while he retreated to a different land to brood alone. After all, Tiberius was well known for being the gloomiest of men. History states that he left to an island, but here, the truth is different.
A month prior, Tiberius heard two voices. One was kind, but powerful and forceful.
"Join me and praise me in glory, Tiberius. Go at once to Jerusalem, where you will do your part to do glory to God."
Tiberius was shaken, but convinced himself that this was a product of his depression. He stood from his chair and walked to his bed. But then, he heard the second voice. This one was harsh and fierce, but more familiar. More human.
"You have more than one path, Emperor. Should you go to Jerusalem, you will be able to strike down a false religion and a false god, bringing glory to man. Or, you may blindly heed the words of a being you never knew. The choice is yours."
A month later, Tiberius finds himself happy for the first time. At last, he has a task that is beyond him. He cannot win alone. But he has the freedom to do what he wishes. He is not bound by alignment, not bound by his weakening Pantheon, nor bound by the responsibilities of an empire. And no matter which path he takes, there will be glory.
Tiberius looks upon the small contingent of forces stationed in Jerusalem. Directly below him is the Prefect, Pontius Pilate. Pilate oversees Judea and acts as its foremost statesman, judge, and recruiter. Pilate is busy eating dinner, while Tiberius sits on a raised chair overlooking the long, rectangular room. He stands, then silently walks into the south wing of the barracks. A few days ago, he specifically requested for a single room to be prepared for a specifc purpose; his purpose.
The Roman Emperor walks past a series of armed and armored guards and two metal gates into a dirty, dark room. The only light source is a large circular hole in the high roof, allowing the moon's reflected rays to dimly illuminate the cell. As Tiberius walks in, he sees a man bound in chains on the far wall of the cell, bathed in darkness.
Tiberius, without looking away from the prisoner, reaches out to his left and picks up a single bronzen gauntlet. This gauntlet is ornate, but well-constructed and strong. The fit is very loose; Tiberius is able to slip his hand inside without adjustment.
He walks forward twenty paces, within arm's reach of the bound man.
An echo of flesh meeting metal resonates throughout the cell. Once the echo stops, all that can be heard is the wet sound of blood meeting gravel, and a man's pained and frantic breathing.
"Talk."

ALL night actions must be PMed to me. Posting it in your night thread is NOT ENOUGH. However, at the end of the night, I will post the actions of all members of each group in their respective night forums, so lying about your actions will get you nowhere.
Remember that a select few rules have changed; check your role in the directory just to make sure you know exactly what you can or cannot do, and then look through all of the Q/A answers so that your understanding of the game is complete. The night ends in 2 days, so that should be enough time to figure things out.
