View Full Version : Interrogator kill doesn't work

Night one:

Bodyguard (6) protects 9 (BD).

Interrogator (12) kidnaps 1 (sheriff).

Interrogator (4) kidnaps 15 (jailor).

Doctor (10) protects 9 (BD).

BD (9) swaps 1 (Sheriff) with 10 (Doctor).

Both interrogators kill, neither works. Neither was roleblocked, their targets were not healed, protected or immune at night yet it doesn't work. What's going on here?

For both interrogators it said they were immune and both prisoners it said they escaped while your captor was getting the gun.

off the top of my head I know that bussed targets have counted as "escaped" before-- don't recall the particular circumstances however, and without looking at the replay have no idea why the interro kill on 15 didn't work-- something probably happened that you weren't aware of.

Escaped while captor doesn't include doc kill right?
Did jailor have guaranteed kill option on in that save?(perhaps it was off and target was night immune)

Made an account specifically to post about this bug. Can confirm that this bug is real and it really sucks for mafia if it happens. The chances of this happening are way too high (maybe even around ~50%). Sorry about the older replay but my internet was offline for a while.

Setup: Kidnapper's Target is always killed is off.

N1: 10(Interrogator) kidnaps 13(mayor), interrogator then executes the mayor.
Your Target escapes! Tonight he has immunity to night attacks.

Escort roleblocks 4
Doctor did not do anything and rbed

Mayor escapes and reveals the next day, then proceeds to demolish all the evils. Interrogator loses his only execute and is now a useless role. Evils lost because the interrogator failed to execute.

It makes no sense for the kidnappers targets to escape on their own. Especially when the target is not docced or the kidnapper not rbed. And the chances I've seen of this happening is fairly high from other reports I've seen. And the interrogator shouldn't lose his only execute if it fails. I was pretty salty after this game. How it should work imo is that if the target is docced/bged or the kidnapper rbed or target is night immune then the execute will fail but the kidnapper retains the execute.
