In the once-peaceful town of Ockham, a supernatural threat has been growing. A WEREWOLF was on the prowl. The townsfolk thought they had found the WEREWOLF and planned to lynch him before he could transform into a fearsome beast.

"Any last words, MattZed?" the executioner inquired.

"I AM NOT A WEREWOLF. I AM AN INNOCENT SURVIVOR," MattZed exclaimed, flailing frantically.

The executioner smirked, "a likely story."

"You don't have to do this! I can help you!" he shouted.

"If you are truly a survivor, you have failed at your job and deserve death. Goodbye, MattZed."


MattZed, the Survivor has been lynched.

With no more time to discuss, the townsfolk hurried back to their homes to prepare for the coming threat. It would not be an easy night.

Firebringer and PoD have both revealed that they were given the Citizen/Half-Blood rolecards. Game is presently on-hold until I can get permission from Orpz to restart. If I can't restart, the game will resume with Firebringer and PoD being modkilled.

Cause
Firebringer and PowerOfDeath received identical Town role cards that did not match the setup, and thus were able to confirm each other as members of the Town.

Investigation
According to the setup, this should have been the proper Citizen role card:

Based on what I read and understand, the rolecard that all Citizens actually received was:

Impact
Game was certainly and massively impacted. Non-Citizens (Town and Scum) alike would not have access to this information, even though it should have been in the setup. Thus all Citizens could have easily made themselves confirmed, which would break the balance of the game.

Special Considerations
It is MattZed's first time hosting a game.
The game is only on Day 1.

Verdict
You can restart the game with the same players. However, if a situation similar like this arises again in the remake, you will need to just proceed with the modkill even if it drastically alters the game.

Closing Comments
I will be archiving this game once you make a new thread. Please be careful with sending out rolecards. It is the player's responsibility to read the setup and familiarize themselves with disguised rolecards. That said, hosting mistakes are inevitable and happen to all of us. The best thing to do is to learn from them and improve as a host :)
