You were attacked last night!

You died last night!

You converted XXX to the Occult last night!

You failed to convert XXX to the Occult last night!

The other members of the Occult are currently:

You got converted to the Occult last night!

You converted XXX to the Cult last night!

You failed to convert XXX to the Cult last night!

The other members of the Cult are currently:

You got converted to the Cult last night!

You successfully jesterfied someone last night, however you blacked out during the night and forgot who you converted... Oops.

You had a fun night last night! However you failed to have anyone join your cause.

You were absolutely horrified last night as a person performed a series of unspeakable actions in front of you. You were also highly intrigued and decided to join this persons cause as a Jester. You later found out that that person was named XXX.

You attempted to murder someone in their cell last night via strangulation, poor bastard never saw it coming.

You performed a forbidden ritual of mind control on an inmate, to target XXX.

Your head is foggy from last night, you see several markings on your body that you know were not there before, you were witched!

You kept a close eye on a particular inmate last night, and decided to murder anyone who touched them.

You decided to mark someone for the sacrifice.

You decided to summon the avatar of Chutulu, to devour all those you have marked.

You decided to break into a persons cell and plant evidence of sinister motives there.

You have drugged a inmate last night, and after a ruthless interrogation, you discovered everything that person knows from this night, they will not recall this event or the rest of the night.

Drugged Feedback:

After some subtle investigation, you decided to visit XXX and YYY, who you learned to be a X and a Y. You also stole some contraband from their cells, so you're not so sure who is what.

A Sleuth has visited you and informed you that XXX is a fellow Y.

After hearing the directors soothing voice at day break, you now know that you truly have Misguided Motives.

After hearing the directors rage inducing voice at day break, you now know that you must have Sinister Motives.

Last night you attempted to spread the word of God to XXX, XXX has joined your cause as a Mason!

Last night you attempted to spread the word of God to an inmate, who then denounced your cause, stating that they have more important things to do.

Last night you attempted to act out the will of God by killing an inmate with an unholy aura.

The other members of the Masons are currently:

You decided to provide some much needed counseling to an inmate last night.

After a long counseling session from the Asylum Staff, you have been diagnosed of being a Lunatic. Your true calling is a XXX.

You have decided to kill one of your fellow inmates last night, as an act of blind justice.

You lie on the floor as you pass away knowing that you successfully defended one of your inmates from an unknown attacker. Your need for attention has been satisfied.

Your insatiable sex addiction led you to one of your fellow inmates cells, they have no idea what is coming for them.

Unspeakable events have happened last night that prevented you from leaving your cell.

Your thirst for knowledge led you to a fellow inmates cell last night, who has been wounded. Now is your chance to prove that you are the smartest among your peers.

After many hours of a man overlooking a half-conscious you, it seems you will survive the night.

Your raging paranoia (which is completely justified) has led you to the cell of XXX, in his absence, you have discovered that XXX has Sinister Motives.

Your raging paranoia has led you to the cell of XXX, in his absence, you have discovered that XXX has Misguided Motives.

Your denial of death has led you to snatching a gun off of a security guard, you refuse to die tonight. You know that the gun will be later confiscated, but that does not matter to you.

Your immaturity has led you to swap the numbers on two of your fellow inmates cells. hehe

Your need to prove yourself has led you to the cell of XXX, who you believe to be an XXX.

Did you say Lunatic?

It seems someone likes screwing with players even more than I do.

Can Scum be lunatics?

Breh I've been doing this before you even started making setups.

And yes, everyone. Excluding the Asylum Staff can be Lunatics.

I'll go into more in-depth review closer to the signups date. I didn't forget

Can Sinisters be Lunatics?

Do Cult cooldowns occur on failed conversion?

Is the Mason Leader's night ability combined or does he have to choose between conversion and purging?

Please expand further on fake feedback for Lunatics.

Investigator is too powerful in my opinion. If he catches a scum and RNG is on his favor, the scum has zero wiggle room other than try to discredit the claimer. I also would suggest finding a way to rework the role so that there is no need for RNG.

My first impression is that this is a Town steamroll. Because of the scum roles' independence, it's practically guaranteed that they will waste valuable nights targeting each other. Coupled with two confirmable Town roles, scums have no chance for day chat leadership to counteract the lack of night cycle control.

Yup

Do Cult cooldowns occur on failed conversion?

Nope

Is the Mason Leader's night ability combined or does he have to choose between conversion and purging?

You must choose, without choice it will default to converting

Please expand further on fake feedback for Lunatics.

Example: A mason leader who is a lunatic and receives the sheriff rolecard, instead of receiving convertion feedback/names of masons he will receive sheriff feedback, but the feedback may or may not be correct.

I'll find a nerf.

Lunatics greatly disrupt town communication, no one can be entirely certain what they say is true. I believe scum is fine in comparison to town.

deathworlds , your turn to host is coming up!

Balance Concern: Once a Jester gets itself lynched, it becomes a lot harder for the Jester King to win.

Balance Concern: Scum does not necessarily have a night kill, but town might via Mason Leader

Suggestion: Allow for 4-5 scum if using multiple factions; don't tell players how many there will be.

What happens to the executioner after their target dies?
Does Mass Murderer kill people who don't visit? (do they count as self-visiting for that?)

Smart jesters can get lynched, with or without subordinates.

Balance Concern: Scum does not necessarily have a night kill, but town might via Mason Leader

Assuming mason leader is even able to perform a night kill, each of the factions he can perform night kills on has an action that reduces town numbers by 1, and increases scum numbers by 1. It's balanced in my opinion.

Suggestion: Allow for 4-5 scum if using multiple factions; don't tell players how many there will be.

Done

What happens to the executioner after their target dies?

Suicide, assuming you mean that if their target dies at night.

Does Mass Murderer kill people who don't visit? (do they count as self-visiting for that?)

Yes.

Responses in bold white.

I've also added a mechanic that allows all of the true scum to learn their real role when the asylum staff dies, the Sleuth role, and changed what roles are unique.

Players need more way of discovering their true alignment. Players don't need to know their role, but they should have some idea of what their wincon is.

I'll approve the setup once this issue is dealt with. =D

Just as an aside, if you're a Lunatic, does that mean that you can receive a rolecard that is different from your true alignment? So could a Citizen be a Lunatic who thinks they are an Executioner?

I think I got something, It'll be done in a minute.

Edit: Done, I added a new role, removed the uniqueness from the asylum staffs role (now renamed "Asylum Counselor"), removed two confirmed roles, and added another.

Edit V.2: School stuff is coming up soon and I won't be able to host this until June 16th.

EDIT V.3: All roles can now be lunatics, changed the Jesters win condition.

Seems like you have a lot of cohosts able to serve! Pick your favorite.

Approved for signups, although I believe I will have more questions.

In the signup thread, you will be required to indicate that some players may get a false rolecard. I leave the balancing of who and how many roles get this up to you, but hope you decide very carefully.

So the Jester King doesn't choose who to target, correct?

Why does the town need to eliminate the Jester King to win?

Correct.

Why does the town need to eliminate the Jester King to win?

I thought it would be appropriate because the Jester King converts town members into his faction. Do you think I should change that?
