I think the new Blackmailer role is fun, but somewhat limited in its usefulness as of now.

I just played a game where I was Blackmailer and decided to silence the sheriff, whom revealed himself the first day. During the next day, everyone asked for his help, and even though he could not talk, he was able to point out a mafia by selecting to lynch once everyone determined he was silenced. This kinda made the silencing useless.

I propose making the silenced person's vote hidden from the other players until the lynching is over, if its possible.

It's not really possible. You'd still see the 0 turn to a 1 on the vote box.

The solution lies in the settings. If you want Silencer to be more effective in your game then change the day type to Ballots. Although.. I personally would still prefer Majority over Ballots..

A mute can still move and walk.

Evils who kept quiet and suddenly questioned can always fake being silenced by repeatedly vote/unvote randomly.

But yea, Blackmailer much more effective in ballot mode.
But AFKers will only confuse the town. Curse the point farmers.
