Day 5: The Day of Black Sun

[Forum Mafia GM]

Much like waterbenders gain power during a full moon because the moon is the source of waterbending, so too do firebenders draw their strength from the sun, the source of firebending. So during a solar eclipse, when the sun is completely blocked by the mooon, they lose their ability to firebend. As such, firebenders have for many years referred to the day of the solar eclipse as the Day of Black Sun. Today is the Day of Black Sun.

The Gaang has known this for a while and has a plan to attack the fire nation today while the firebenders are powerless in the hopes of defeating them and putting a decisive end to the Hundred Year War. Many people the Gaang has met along their journey reunite with them to help fight. Hakoda arrives with a ragtag team of several allies whom the group has met during their adventures. Worried that one of them may not return, Aang kisses Katara to show her how he feels about her just before the invasion begins. The invasion force breaks through many security barriers and successfully infiltrates the Fire Nation capital. Aang reaches the Fire-Lord's palace... only to find out that no one is home.




FM Phillie was slain by a vigilante. She was Azula, the Crown Princess.
FM Procyon was electrocuted to death. He was The Boulder, a citizen. He left a last will. I was a Citizen. Since I am dead, I want to tell you all the I believe Philie, Goonswarm, Monster, and Severn are probably scum, and would look closely at them. Also, possibly Northstar.

That is precisely when that would apply, yes. The phrases you quoted were included specifically to make it clear that the explosion caused by two charges interacting will clear all charges from the players involved if any of them manage to survive it.

He's basically just a useless role if Ozai did. Northstar is most likely to be the blackmailer, so he is a much better lynch target unless we get something off Goon.

Lawl. Are you kidding me? If Gerik is blackmailed and Narks doesn't post, he gets modkilled, regardless of his role. GM has confirmed as much.

@Crim: I'm not worried about MM killing everyone; I'm worried about him just getting a couple kills off. Assuming at least 1-2 of the scummy players are actually Citizens, it isn't hard to imagine the MM getting lucky and sniping a TPR and Cit. Mafia is hard locked at 1 KPN. And the scum lists are pretty small at this point. Given that Aang is revealed and at least a few townies must know who Iroh is, the Mafia's "informed minority" is pretty quickly becoming a moot point. If we can, we should lynch MM today. Vig can mop up another scum tonight, and we can focus 100% on the Mafia tomorrow.

Are there any other circumstances besides blackmail that would allow players to avoid getting modkilled for not posting 5 times?

We decided to be a bit lenient on the 5 post requirement owing to the number of people that were not meeting it. We determined that the first wave of modkills (the one that happened a few days ago) would be for those who had zero posts and we'd wait and see on the rest. We may decide to kill the remaining violators of the minimum posting requirement, but we may not. There are no specific circumstances that are causing it, merely hosts being cautious. I would advise against reading into it either way.
