Just an idea on how the Mafia should work, a way that makes more sense to me anyway.

Godfather gets another night-action: Choose the one sent to kill from the mafia members, will go himself if he picks a target to kill but doesn't pick a member to send. Can pick any member, the one sent to kill will not be able to perform his standard night action (Consort will kill the mafia's target instead of roleblocking someone, for example).

If the Godfather chose who to send he will appear in investigation that night as "Leader of men" to investigator and "not suspicious" to sheriff, if he went to kill he'l appear as "Has weapons" to investigator and "Mafia member" to sheriff. Otherwise if he took no action at night he'l appear as "Not suspicious" to all checks.

So long as there are living mafia members the Godfather is immune to death at night and cannot be roleblocked. Once he is alone those advantages are lost, the Godfather on his own can only kill - but can still choose not to take action in order to appear innocent.

All Mafia members can now suggest who to kill in addition to their normal night action. Unless the Godfather chose a target the order of priority will be: Mafioso, Consigliere, Janitor, Framer, Consort.

If mafia votes for the target are tied then the priority role's target will be the one to be attacked that night. If the Godfather did not choose who to send then the member to be sent will be the highest priority role.

Anyone sent to kill will appear as "has weapons" to investigator, instead of the normal text.

If the Godfather is gone, remaining Mafia members can still suggest to kill and eliminate targets so long as there is more than one, even if all of them are not Mafioso.

Lone mafia members will still become Mafioso, unless that option is disabled - in which case they will be unable to kill.

A lone mafia who isn't Godfather or Mafioso can opt to wait 3 nights without lynching or killing. This member will become town-aligned in such a case and will win with the town, but recieve standard town points.

Well, it seems to have been well thought, and it makes sense.
But, in my opinion, it's too complex and doesn't bring much to the actual game, except additional convoluted rules and confusion.
Besides, at some point Tracker and Watcher are gonna be added, and those kind of dynamic rules would make them pretty hard to use effectively.
Still a nice idea, though.
