I will be pondering this for a bit longer, I think I already have someone in mind however.
I will be putting an idiotic amount of work into this sub-forum night one before things get to hectic. Hope you guys enjoy watching me as gods on high for this one.

Hojo stared blankly at the pile of candid photographs scattered upon a large steel worktable in a way that only a madman could make sense of. He knew of course, that this next decision was the most important, perhaps even more important than his decision to defect from those ignorant fools who call themselves Shinra, though admittedly perhaps not as important as his decision to conduct his research on humans to begin with.
'Calm'; the word skittered through his mind, a gleeful insult to the very word the thought represented. What followed must be calculated, his ingenuity must be focused. His eyes focused on one photograph among the forest of trees that was his meticulous research of the previous day. A hand reached for it, lifting it to the light almost on impulse as he smiled wryly. The photograph was of the one who called themself Deirdre, seemingly blind but seemingly untapped potential beneath the surface. And besides, he had best test how blindness affects the bonding with Jenova's cells. This thought was one of many, both lost in the massive tangle and crystal clear.
"Yes, this one, they will be perfect as my first... soldier. " He said aloud, a maddened grin twisting his wrinkled features into something even more unsettling. He stepped away from the table, having already forgotten the rest of the photographs as he moved to prepare for his trip to the outside world.
What filled the laboratory afterwards was the sound of insane laughter, pounding and resonating from every wall. A mere taste of the madness that was to come.
